Price and location.
The lift was out of service, which meant we had to walk two floors up with large luggage after long travels.
Also, they wouldn’t allow booking in for a late checkout during check-in, we have to do it in the morning at checkout time - which defeats the whole objective! Not had that at any hotel before.

Shower. Bar area was quite nice but didn't try the food.
Room too warm. No AC just a small opening window. When returnng we learned that thieves had been operating in the car park stealing batteries from electric vehicles so i WILL NOT be staying again.
3.9
The hotel is clean and well designed.
The stars of the show are the staff, very friendly and efficient with an amazing chef whose specials are top class.
The car park isn’t big enough, if you arrive late on a busy day you can struggle to get in.

Everything was spot on and spotless.
Location was a bit out of the way and industrial. But just my take

Liked it very much will be back again

The lady at the bar was very nice. When we got in, we asked when the bar was closing. She had been about to close up, but was more than willing to make us drinks first. We decided not to (very luckily, as it turns out, since they had given away our room and we would have to drive to a different location), since our plan had been to check in and walk to nearby food and pubs. She was lovely to us, though.
We arrived exactly when we had said we would. They had given away our room, and told us they were fully booked and I would not be charged. I have been charged a no-show fee. It was extremely difficult to try and find a different hotel with spotty cell reception in a foreign country where I can't even make a phone call. It took us hours to find somewhere else, at which point we couldn't even get food, and had to drive an hour away to find a place where we were guaranteed a room. The hotel offered no help in finding accomodation or compensation for the hassle and extra expense for us, even before they claimed we were a no-show and charged us for the entire amount.

Comfortable bed and nice shower
The room was 2 for occupancy, however only one face towel provided , when I queried i was told it was company policy, l further queried that were we expected to share a face towel, the company policy was reiterated. Eventually, with persistence, I was given another towel. I then asked the receptionist about the towel issue, and he confirmed that we should have been given 2 face towels. On arrival, we were given conflicting times to check out.
The curtain in the room was falling off.
Not sufficient hooks in the bathroom, just a towel rail.
Based on my experience, I will not be returning this establishment.

The staff was great, I liked my room as well and loved the breakfast as well
The main issue would be location because it is out the way from everything it means if u don’t have a car it can be annoying to get anywhere.

Great stay lovely hotel clean and comfortable. Staff where helpful and lovely bar area
Could do with extra pillows in room as we only had one each

The facilities were lovely and the staff were amazing really kind and welcoming. Great location, less than a 10 min drive from the city centre and great value for money. We paid £49 for Boxing Day (night) and considering the location it was a good deal.
The bed and room was comfortable just a little bit of noise from the cars etc outside.

Clean fair prices
They do not take cash sick of being told by large companies how I can pay will never go back because of this

Bar area was very modern
No soap in room, 1 half toilet roll in room for 2 people 2 nights, no Soap in shower, Explained to staff about my van upon arrival being a long wheel base, had a call at 2.30 on the Saturday afternoon asking me to move it which I was unable to do, upon my return to the hotel after a great xmass market experience I was quizzed again then asked to make a written statement about the conversation I had with the check in staff, which I refused to do as I was obviously intoxicated but yet the manger stilled wanted me to break the law.
Left a very very bitter taste in our mouths.
I would not recommend unfortunately

It is a good looking hotel from the outside, inside is ok.
After coming back from a long night I was greeted by the head of security, which was normal, went outside with my misses to her car to get her PJs, then came back in and was then asked for my ID, but turns out they were asking my girl? Which is understandable, but her being 24 confused me a bit, but in any case I gave her the key to our room to get the ID, to which then the head of security got right in my face and was quite aggressive, stating he is ‘head of security’ whilst holding a rude and confrontational tone, so yeah I wasn’t exactly happy with how I was treated in that regard and I don’t think I will stay here again, not pleasant after that, also found blood on my bed sheet before even getting into it and the toilet smelt of fecal matter.

The beds were comfortable. The room was plenty big for the three of us. most staff members were kind and pleasant.
That they don't accept cash for items like a Coke or Granola bar from their "Little shop." And they would not charge such items to the room. Made for a lot of international charges on the credit card.

It was a very nice hotel and seemed very elegant for the price
Rooms where little bit poor like tv but no complaints for the price

Location was convenient.
We arrived and when we got to the room the receptionist forgot to program the card so couldn't get in, then had to go back down to activate it. Went into the room and the toilet hadn't been cleaned, we found hairs all over the seat and orange/yellow scum build up on the seat so had to go back down to reception. The lady working at the time said there wasn't anything she could do. We asked if there was a cleaner available to rectify this, however no one was available so we were given a bottle of cleaning product and some kitchen roll and left to clean this ourselves whilst she stood outside. The bed was also untucked and looked like it had already been used. We were offered a free drink as compensation when a refund or discount would've been more appropriate. My partner is hypoallergenic so woke up with an allergic reaction where this room wasn't cleaned properly. We booked two rooms as had our parents stayed at the hotel too. We paid extra in order to secure a canal view but didn't receive this either. Overall a very disappointing visit.

Simple and clean. The restaurant didn't have a gluten free menu but the chef went above and beyond to make me something special.
The mattress was rather uncomfortable!
I was at the front of the hotel, the road was noisy- lots of sirens, as I was only staying 1 night I don't know how typical this was.

Lovely hotel, convenient for the centre.
Very clean, room very nice and shower was great.
The complimentary water was well received.
Very nice breakfast.
Visited the restaurant on first night for dinner, I was told the vegan option had sold out but the vegetarian burger was definitely vegan (even thought not shown on the menu it was). There was also a Vegan pudding which was served with custard or ice cream. I asked to double check the custard was vegan and the waitress showed me the carton which was definitely not.
I lost my confidence at that point and went somewhere else to eat.
The waitress wasn’t rude, just needed more education on the difference.
I explained to reception what had happened, and asked if I would be ok for breakfast and she said she would tell the kitchen.
The chef did double check then breakfast items for me.

I liked the hotel room overall.
I didn’t like the fact that the tv didn’t have the ability to sync with your phones to play YouTube and Netflix

Just a useless place to stay. Cockroaches in the rooms. The receptionist was very rude and not helpful at all even after the compliant. Food was cold and basic. Hard earned cash paying for rubbish. I wouldnt advise you to stay here
Everything, dont even go there. Avoid like a plague

I have booked two non-smoking rooms, One of our rooms actually smile is really bad, I think someone smoke before, but I believe the hotel should clean it up before handing over to me...

Basic. It costs on average over £100 a night and you get basic room, bed and food.

The reception was lovely, The bar area was beautiful. The food was very good. Great attention to detail. The surrounding area down stairs was very lovely, friendly and very welcoming. We felt extremely comfortable here and the seating in the bar etc was really good. They had games available and lots of variety in the bar.
The staff were friendly and two ladies were that I spoke to were really lovely & helpful & made me smile. The shower and bathroom was great.
The canal views were also very nice.
It was quiet and we were left alone which was also very nice.
Lifts were needed and efficient.
The room inits self was clean and tidy.
A great walldrobe and desk so you can spread yourself out if need be.
The coffee in the room was gros and wasn't even given a spoon. Only given 2 teabags a day lol Very disappointing when your staying somewhere for 5 nights.
The pillows were hard which hurt my neck.
Only 2 plug sockets which were by the bed and the mirror was in a area hard to use when getting ready. Not suitable for a lady wanting to make her self look good when so far away which was very disappointing.
The beds were not changed often enough which was very disappointing and it would of been nice to have clean towls daily.

The cautious and helpful staff.
The reasonable meal prices.
The proximity to scarey black river water.
The menu is the same every day.
