Great location, rooms large and well equipped although toilets in the bedrooms need replacing, lids are scratched and they look grubby! Nice bathroom products, extremely comfy beds and pillows
Some areas were VERY dark! Corridors not well lit, bar area was quite busy when we arrived but service was very slow. The location was great in terms of being in the centre, but really noisy at night! There were kids in the room above us who sounded like baby elephants stomping around the room from about 6 am onwards, slamming doors and screaming, parents should really be more considerate of other guests when staying in hotels with children! I would never have allowed my child to behave in that way when away from home so early in the morning disturbing others. Also, breakfast in the morning, plates were delivered promptly and were hot, sadly the food on them was almost completely cold! I’ve experienced hot food on plates many times but never cold food on boiling hot plates! This needs addressing then overall breakfast experience would be great!

Lovely features, great layout. We stayed in a junior suite and it was just amazing. Perfect location also.

Heating was on full blast and boiling!

room was lovely
shower amazing
bar was really nice and was amazed that they were open nil 2am for guests
could hear the neighbours at 6am when they arrived home from their night out.

the service and food during breakfast was best part of the stay
Very helpful chap on reception sorted a check in problem as we werent told at time of booking that its cashless,
knowing we were coming with a baby, they put us on the 3rd floor furthest possible room from reception, with multiple stair cases to try and get up and down with a pushchair, far from ideal
had to have maintenance to the room as the bath was leaking flooded the bathroom and soaked everything in there
TV was far away from bed, making watching tv in bed awkward

nothing springs to mind

The shower pressure here is amazing - one of the best showers I have ever had. Proper rainfall shower. Beds also super comfy and great location. Within walking distance to loads of restaurants.
The cooked breakfast doesn’t have beans - I would say beans are a staple of any cooked breakfast and I found the lack thereof a bit odd.

Location suited our needs, lovely building too. Room was clean.
Room was above the trades entrance so delivery’s and glass bottle bin collections from the early hours of the morning.

Food was great, room itself superb as was the bath. Amazing bed, desk used for work and the surrounding area have exceptionally good range of restaurants.
The doors are very loud and make a lot of noise when other guests are travelling through the corridors. Parking is only available down the road at the train station.

Everything was great

Attractive looking room
Shower dripped constantly, the blind was broken, so didn't go fully down. Very noisy. The rooms were all named; without the logic of numbering, it was confusing to find rooms.

The bathroom was amazing best every shower
Main room looked tired dated fittings.

Location was excellent - near great pubs/restaurants and a walk away from the jewellry quarter. We took the train from Reading, walked from Grand Central station through Christmas market & we were at the hotel. Couldnt be better. And the rooms are beautifully grand, beds large & very comfortable & bathroom was cool.
Pipes were a little noisy at night - sure that can be sorted. Reception & carpets felt a little tired & not Christmassy enough, but apart from that you have done a great job on restoring a very old exquisite Birmingham building.

Clean, comfortable double room. Bed was very comfy! Enjoyed a deep, hot bath (luxury when you have kids!) Fantastic cocktails in the bar.
