Easy to locate, nicely decorated big comfy house to accommodate big group of people. (10) Livingroom was cosy, bedrooms were comfortable, and kitchen space was great.
No kitchen essentials such as milk, teabags, butter ect provided. I doubled checked with the Host before arrival however once I arrived at the house we found there was one dishwasher tablet left, no sponge to wash the dishes with, and no kitchen role or teatowels provided to dry dishes. Plates in the kitchen cupboard were dirty. Be warned, the nearest supermarket is in Alnwick.

Great location, large bedrooms, comfy beds and good linen, and v clean.
Not nearly enough kitchen utensils, pans and oven dishes for the number of people the house accepts. What was available really needed replacing.
The front outside space is poorly looked after and dangerous underfoot. Steps need urgent attention.

Good size new bath towels. Good size bedrooms.
Mouse droppings in a kitchen drawer, dirty wooden spoon covered in egg and table dirty and sticky. Teapot cracked and crazed and dirty. Biscuit crumbs left in another drawer.
Stair carpet had come lose on the bottom stair from the gripper so trip hazard. Chairs in the dining area of the kitchen were broken.
The website said the property had 'an impressive outdoor terrace with comfortable seating'. The main terrace was at the front of the house facing on to a busy road through the village. The terrace was full of weeds, a rusty barbeque and an inflatable hot tub with stagnant water left in it. Cushions left outside were unusable with outdoor furniture.
The back small terrace was unswept with cigarette butts.
There was a general air that the place was uncared for and the only attention to detail was in the bedrooms with fresh linen and towels. One of the sinks in the ensuite wasn't working. Even the bathrooms could do with decorating with water damage around the skirting.
Despite emailing the owner before writing this review with our concerns we have heard nothing.

Easy to find 200 meters or so from A1. You can see the sea as promised but too far to walk. It is a very impressive property with the most comfortable beds I have tried. We were a party of 4 adults with our 2 small grandchildren and had everything we could want. There is a little bit of wear and tear here and there but only to be expected with a house of that size probably full until lockdown put a limit of 6.
There are a couple of local pubs which serve nice food (at the time of writing)
It is very expensive if there are only a few of you - fine if you have several couples all paying their own way, but as grandparents taking the family for a 5 day treat, it was a lot to pay.
