Quirky unique cottage in amazing location.
A very quirky property at the end of a one way track. Fabulous views and very well equipped. Huge TV that couldn’t compete with the views from the picture windows. Fresh free range eggs and bread were a lovely touch. Lovely walks from the property.
Its SW Devon so it’s very wet everything outside is damp so new wipe down outside furniture to sit on would be great it was too damp to sit on existing wooden seating. Garden is not secure for a dog and it would be great if even a little bit was fenced so the dog could sit out unaccompanied. Foliage to door needs cutting back as you got very wet loading and unloading the car.

Just what we needed
Gorgeous location, very clean property. Homely, with everything you might need for a relaxing escape from the city. The bath in particular, was wonderful.
Bedrooms highly contrast in terms of space and grandeur, so better for families than 2x couples.

Complimentary loaf of bread and eggs on arrival
Very poorly maintained. Damp smell. Threadbare carpets. No CO detector. No smoke/ fire detector. Wi-Fi nearly non existent. Very unsafe electrics. No PAT test. No extractor fan in bathroom or kitchen. Garden very untidy and garden furniture broken and filthy. Kitchen floor unsafe. No means of emergency exit from bedroom 2. Washing machine in a barn 80 yards away. Very dirty carpet in kitchen. Carpet tiles in bathroom. Some footed missing from kitchen cabinets. Archaic cooker.spooky artwork. Damp walls that get very damp when rains. Fly infestation when the sun shines. No outside lights.

A real holiday
This is an exceptional property -think traditional cottage, but with plenty of space and modern facilities. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. The setting is remarkable, very private, near the river and a fabulous getaway. There are some beautiful places to visit near by. Fresh home made bread, eggs from the chickens and a pint of milk added to the welcome at Driftwood cottage. Thankyou from us and our dog for a great stay.
The road is very narrow, but Jonathan provided very good directions

We felt so uncomfortable here that we left the cottage after just 3 nights.
Good communication from hosts. Location by river was attractive. Garden area could have been nice but no garden furniture.
1950s decor, kitchen and bathrooms. Unusual artwork. General disrepair and poor upkeep.

Location wonderful, property disappointing, I feel they rely on the location too much.
Location, frying pan, toilet rolls
Tired run down and very smelly, had damp issue downstairs that smelt of cat wee, picture on web site was not your garden but next doors, bedding not adequate, spring in bed coming through, kitchen floor dangerous, wires in lounge would be dangerous for a child.
