Ideal location, clean and has everything you need
Not much storage space

The location was perfect as a base for visiting many places in West Wales. We particularly enjoyed our visits to Milford Harbour - where you could enjoy a walk and delicious food in the Crows Nest cafe.
The Shepherd's Hut was cosy, clean and welcoming. Perfect for a couple to rest and relax. The bed was really comfy and we slept very well whilst there for 4 nights. We also enjoyed a few naps! - as this was definitely the time we needed to just switch off from everything. There's plenty of space for storage of luggage etc. - under the bed, shelves and clothes rail. It's surprising how much can be fitted into the hut! The kettle can take a while to boil - but we didn't let this spoil our stay.

The alpacas in the next field was a welcome sight in the mornings. Great parking
Sharp turn into the site,

lovely quiet location with Alpacas at the bottom of the field
would have preferred an electric kettle !

The location was idyllic, very quiet but close to the main roads. I loved the cozy atmosphere of the shepherd's hut. It had all the facilities I needed.
I can't think of anything I didn't like. The cooking facilities were basic but there was enough for me to cook a meal.

I loved the shepherd’s hut, spacious for 1, separate bathroom, well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and spotlessly clean. Fittings were well co-ordinated. Everything worked. Access to a washing machine & line for drying. Alpacas just in the adjacent field, the sun set in my bedroom window. 2 minutes to a cycle path nature trail with 12 miles to cover. Owen the owner was on hand daily, very accommodating & eager to resolve any issues.
Two very small issues - there is an alarm in the sleeping area that flashes every 40 seconds (required by law for deaf visitors). It disturbed my sleep the first night but I covered it with a cap which did the trick from 2nd night. The bathroom is very neat but there is not much space between the sink and the glass shelf for your head when cleaning teeth. By the 3rd day I had mastered the technique perfectly

Comfortable and clean. Good use of space to get in all the facilities.
Comfortable for one plus dog, it would have been a squeeze for 2. The kettle took ages to boil on the electric ring, an electric kettle would be more convenient.

Location, Llamas were lovely,
Bed far too small, shelf above bed unnecessary.
Decided to leave 2 nights early due to poor sleep.

The whole place was very nice and welcoming. Situated on a farm with animals was amazing.
Nothing. Just the Welsh weather.

Small as it is (we didn't expect a shepherd's hut to be big!), The Hurdle was all that we required, with a very comfortable bed, cooking facilities and a clean shower/bathroom. Ideal base from which to discover the stunning Pembrokeshire coast. Everything was clean and tidy on arrival and we had a most enjoyable week.
Everything was fine. No complaints at all. There was nothing to dislike about the accommodation in any way.

It's in a delightful area, surrounded by woods and fields with alpacas for company. The hut contained all we needed for a comfortable and happy holiday.

Well appointed for size
Lack of lighting on path to hut.

It was a lovely place to stay and the hut was beautiful inside and out. It was very clean and everything you needed was there.
I would definitely stay there again when we go back to Wales.

Surprisingly spacious huts containing everything you need. Great location, with access onto the old fort from the site. Honesty stall selling farm produce. Easy access to the coast and local attractions.
Lacks the personal touch, as there is no contact with any staff before or during your stay.
5.0
Spotlessly clean, decorated beautifully, lovely setting.
