The host was so obliging he could not do enough. The breakfast was lovely. Very quant colourful accommodation
The location was ok by day but we felt unsafe at night going out without a guide in the centre of the Medina. It was very easy to get lost in the narrow alleyways with lots of poverty about.

We had a fabulous stay at Dar Rihanne. Mohamed and his family are so sweet and very kind. We came by car and he arranged covered parking. He met us and took us to the accommodation or it could have been difficult to find on our own. The accommodation is simple but comfortable with air conditioning (it was at hot in the mid summer!) and was clean and the views from the terrace are amazing! It was lovely to have breakfast up there in the morning. I think staying there made our stay in Fes so memorable. A special mention to Mohammed’s friend Zehir who was our guide and showed us around Fes and cheaper places to eat in the market. He was great and very kind to us. We debated getting a guide but It’s worth getting someone to show you around Fes as it really is a maze in the medinas and unfortunately you get bothered a lot when you are on your own. I can see why this accommodation gets a good rating and it’s mostly because of their amazing hospitality.

cheap, warm water, big bed, interesting decorations, person helping was nice
there is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY this is a 9+ star property and the notion that it’s anywhere CLOSE to that is ridiculous. these have got to be fake reviews. i could talk about the loud noises (such as the cats fighting right next to my window in the middle of the night), the bad location (not a tourist in sight and dead kittens lining the streets), or the bugs flying around everywhere around the property. these are semi-forgivable as they are all to be expected at a $20-30 stay in Fez (definitely NOT a 9+ star one but whatever). what really enraged me was the COMPLETE lack of communication between you and the owner.
picture this: you are a tourist, who does not speak arabic or french, alone, in a part of Fez (THE city that’s a maize) where there are young local men (and i’m typing this as a young man myself), with all of your belongings (!!electronics and passports!!). The last thing you would want is to get lost and robbed etc. While many Riads have large and clear signs on streets to direct you to them, there is virtually nothing that will guide you to Dar Rihanne, which lies in a tiny tiny alley way. There is only a single inconspicuous sign saying “Dar Rihanne” that is in the shade that will help you locate it, and there is very little information (if any information at all) on Booking, Google, and all the websites to show you what the entrance looks like - no photo or description, nothing. So, when I looked around the address listed on Google Maps and I was unable to locate it, I called the number on the Booking listing… and nobody answered. And then I tried calling on WhatsApp… and nobody answered. And then I tried messaging them directly on Booking… and nobody answered. And then I found another website that had a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT phone number and called it… and nobody answered. After trying on all these different platforms and calling probably 15 times, somebody finally answered one of the numbers and in broken english said “wrong number”.

We stayed for 7 incredible nights! If we could live here at Dar Rihanna permanently we would! 100/10
Mohammed and his wife Asiya are beeeeeautiful people!! They welcomed us with warmness and genuine care.
Mohammed picked us up from the taxi and walked us through the tricky streets to our sanctuary.
We arrived in the afternoon and we already tired so asked to eat there the 1st night. Asiya prepared for us the most flavorful tajine! They were extremely acommodating to all our food allergies.
We were traveling with a friends who had 2 kids aged 5 & 2 and we were treated like a part of the family with Mohammed, his wife and their kids! Nothing was too much trouble and we grew very close to them in our week together.
The breakfast is delicious and really big, they prepare everything fresh in the morning. We got to try many different Moroccan dishes, even getting impromptu lessons in the morning with Asiya.
The position of Dar Rihanna is great because it's close to the medina, in 10 minutes walk you’ll be in the center but it's also a little bit out so we weren't constantly bombarded by people trying to sell us things. It was like a little escape, into the land of the locals.
There's an amazing terrace where we enjoyed the view of the whole old town and medina with the backdrop of the mountains and desert that surrounds Fes.
We REALLY recommend you stay here with Mohammed, Asiya and their family. You won't find hosts more caring.
In fact, late in the evening on our last night, 1 of our friends had a fever. Mohammed found out and immediately went to fix a tea for them that helps with fever. Truly the kindest most thoughtful people we've ever stayed with!
We love them dearly and look forward to the day when we'll meet with them again.
Thank you Mohammed, Asiya, Ryan, Rihanna and baby boy for letting us into your family!!

Family of 4, children of 4 and 6. Place is spot on. Best value for the money found till now. Apartment is fairly big, awesome roof top terrace with amazing view and beautiful ground floor terrace with nice shade and freshness. Is in a very good place, 20 min walking from tanneries area, and 5 minute walking from lively city door where every night goes up a market with rides for kids too. In a not so touristy area of the Medina so shop are actually différents and not a souvenir stall after the other. Plenty of food stall around where you can eat well for very cheap. Breakfast was good and changed daily. Host is very gentle. Very good place! Thanks a lot!
All was good!

The appartment is very nice and clean (and has air conditioning!) There are two big rooftop terraces that offer panoramic views of Fes. The neighbourhood is beautiful and authentic and just a 15 min away from medinas and the old university. Mohamed is maybe the nicest Moroccan we met on our trip, he was incredibly helpful in anything we needed and he showed us around the neighbourhood multiple times and we always felt incredibly safe in his hands. The morning breakfast is taken in the lovely garden shaded by a grape tree that attracts loads of cute birds.

The owner's family is very enthusiastic. We made an appointment for railway station pick up to Riad and the owner also helped us contact the tour guide.
The internet is a bit slow. The room has a musty smell, needs to be ventilated.

Mohammed (the owner) was SUUUPER nice and hospitable!!! The house itself is soooo cozy and homey-liked environment with many orange trees and birds. The patio is my fav where we could see the mountain and medina. Breakfast was amazing with fresh orange juice from the garden and even meals for lunch/ dinner (depend on what’s available on that day and it’s always so good too) are only €10 with starter, olives, main, dessert, fruits, etc, just so delicious. We pretty much eat 3x/d there since restaurants are located a bit further. We were so taken care by Mohammed and we even mostly just chilled on the terrace to enjoy the view, because the place is just so homey.
The place is sooooo hard to find coz the nameplate was so small and hidden. The addresses set on googlemaps/ Booking.com are wrong idk why. And since their wifi was broken temporarily due to Eid Fitr, they couldn’t reply back my message. Tho it should not be your reason to not stay here. I suggest you to ask him to pick you up somewhere.
The home is a bit noisy since it is in medina where everyone is everywhere around the corner of alleys but o far still manageble.
