Breakfast was good quality

The room was clean, tidy and very inviting with sweet little touches. The lady during breakfast was extremely kind, accommodating and friendly who made sure we had everything we wanted. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Breakfast too was of a good satisfying standard with plenty of options.
Slow check in. No one was present when we arrived although that may of been our fault due to arriving late at the property. The walls in our room might as well of been made out of paper. The sound from downstairs especially from the pool table bellowed around our room. We payed extra to stay in a room with a balcony that happened to be above the front entrance of the pub. It's an extremely busy pub and the noise went on until 1am. The pub is also by an extremely busy road with fast moving traffic.

Breakfast was superb. Staff were fantastic.
The mattress could have been a bit more comfortable.

The room was lovely and big with great breakfast.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good.
The listing said that breakfast was included but on the day I was charged £5 extra per person for breakfast. I understand totally why this was necessary with increased costs etc but this information should have been shared via Booking.com as it could have made a difference to my choosing where to stay.

Mum and I had a lovely stay at The Bickford Arms. All the staff were very welcoming and helpful, the food was delicious and the pub itself was very cosy. Would definitely recommend.
If I had to pick something that wasn't quite so good, I'd say that it would have been nice if the teacups had been changed daily and teabags/coffee etc. refilled. Not too much of a problem, we just rinsed our cups in the bathroom and asked for more teabags etc but it would be a nice touch to come back each day to fresh cups.

We stayed one night at the Bickford Arms as we were visiting my son, who is studying nearby. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and checked us in as soon as we arrived. We ate dinner at the pub and the food was very tasty with generous portions. The bed was comfortable and a the shower was powerful. The breakfast staff were as lovely as the staff who had checked us in and the breakfast was very good. All in all we had a lovely stay and we will definitely be booking again next time we visit my son

Everything was first class, what you would expect from a well rated hotel.
I could only say that I wished it was closer to home to sample the rest of their menu, delicious.

Everything! Really lovely staff. Friendly and helpful. It was my husbands birthday and they put balloons and banners in the room and a complimentary bottle of lager and prosecco in the room on our arrival. Our room was so lovely with a balcony spacious and clean. The bed was so comfy. Lovely big tv. Loved Bath with bubble jets. Fantastic stay thankyou. We will be back!
We weren't there long enough! Really wanted to stay longer. One night wasn't enough!

Friendly staff good pub decent breakfast landlord went out and bought cooling fans for each room doe to the hot weather

Breakfast average - no vegetarian option available. If you didn't want a cooked full English there didn't appear to be any alternative. Ran out of corn flakes half way through the week. Beer alternatives ok if you like lager. Only local brewery house bitter available which was poor quality.
Location on junction of busy A road. woken at 5.30 am every morning due to farming traffic, articulated lorries and cars travelling at over 60 mph. Didn't appreciate having to eat at table where previous clients were feeding their dogs at the table. Ate in evening once - chips and peas cold, scampi out of a box, lemon flavoured but no lemon on plate. Staff unable to pour a pint of Guinness without using a tea towel to wipe the glass (exception one lady bar staff member who worked on the Thursday).
4.1
Good parking and dog friendly.
No fridge in dog friendly room. Mouldy
grout in shower. B&B guests should
be allowed to eat in the dining room.
