They sold my RESERVATION to someone else! Apparently this is their policy???? The receptionist lied telling me all my details had been sent to a sister hotel who were expecting me. I travelled there and received quizzical looks from staff who had no knowledge of me or my booking. The sister hotel was not of the standard advertised and was a 15 walk from where I wanted to be which defeated the whole object of booking a central hotel location. Unbelievably poor service.
They don’t understand the concept of a reservation. apparently it does not mean that you have booked at that hotel……..it means you have booked at any one of five random locations???

The price was superb and what you get for what you pay meets or exceeds expectation. Anybody that gives this hotel a hard time, obviously has champagne taste and beer money

Breakfast was good value for money with plenty of it
Room was outdated and tired, not cleaned properly. TV far too small had to sit on the end of the bed to see it. Rubbish left in corridors and lift. Door to car park was broken Reception staff in the morning could not give any info on parking till manager arrived.

good location, staff were nice. bed rooms were a bit dated but okay and good for price.
when we first arrived we were unable to get into our room as they had a fault in their keycard system. near the end of the stay the lift had a sign saying out of use and not working. we were on the second from top floor and had to struggle and take 2 trips with all our luggage down to the reception area to check out and as we got down to the bottom floor the second time, a couple said thes lifts were working the staff just hadn’t taken the sign off!!

The receptionist lied to me and said the only outside rooms available were on the 6th floor, the old smoking floor where the worst condition rooms are. She said all the others were full as they had four coaches staying. I checked these facts with management and cleaning ladies in the morning, they were infact very quiet with plenty of rooms available. Not happy at all my tv didn’t even work properly and the bathroom not up to standard. I usually stay on one of the lower floors and find those rooms to be of a good standard. Very unimpressed to be lied to as a long standing patron of the hotel . 15 yrs and an average of at least 70 nights each year.
