We booked Maple house for a family birthday celebration in August 2024. From the booking process, to arrival, to checking out, everything was amazing. We booked through Bolthole retreats, and we were provided a personal log in to our booking which showed option to add extras, make payments and also came with information on the area and a welcome guide to the house. This included catering options in the area, local restaurants and pubs, walks around the area, discounts and much more, which was extremely informative. The house was right next to the Ebrington Arms pub which is a lovely village pub with great food. We had lunch there one day and used the 10% discount from Maple House. The house was extremely clean and the perfect layout/size for our large family, including a larger room downstairs which was great for those with children who need extra space for a cot. We bumped into the cleaners on arrival who were extremely friendly and helpful. The area is secure and gated so great for us with children running around! We were in contact prior to arrival regarding early check in and Tim came back to us straight away and accommodated us where possible which was very helpful. Check in/out and information was provided to us a few days before and was exactly as mentioned making it very easy on arrival to find keys etc.
Overall a very enjoyable stay, lovely house and beautiful area, and a very smooth booking process. We will definitely visit again.

Maple House is a modern , very spacious house in a great location in North Cotswolds. Ideally located for visiting attractions. We had a crawling baby so easy to "baby proof" and advantageous to have a couple of ground floor accessible rooms. Generally well appointed with comfortable beds and convenient en-suites.
Couple of minor gripes - outside area needed a clean prior to use / hoover provided was u/s and we had to take apart to make it operable , no iron present and the tumble dryer required "defluffing" prior to use.
Overall though we had a great week , outside area with hot tub was excellent , the village is v quaint and the Ebrington Arms looked after us very well for our birthday lunch.

I stayed with 6 other friends for a long weekend and there was plenty of bedrooms and shared living space in both the lounge and the kitchen. The outside seating areas both in the rear garden and outside the kitchen doors provide a lovely space to relax with plenty of seating. The hot tub was a real bonus and fun to relax in and with the pub just across the car park it was a perfect location. It was quiet and peaceful. We would thoroughly recommend a stay at Maple House.

We had a great break away at Maple House. 9 of us stayed but there was plenty of space for all of us and it was just what we needed. The hot tub was the perfect addition!
A great location for great walks, amazing pub next door. We would definitely stay again.

We loved our stay at Maple House, it had everything we could want that made our Easter break such a chilled out fab time
Location is excellent - lovely pub on the doorstep and fab farm shop 5 mins away
Nice walks all around the lovely village. Excellent service from Tim re the forgotten scarf

We have several family members in the immediate area, so it was decided that we would book the Maple House for space - at the end no one else stayed which was not a problem as they popped in and out when they were around. Location was superb.
Couple of small things - some more cooking dishes might be good in the kitchen, a revamp in the cutlery drawer might be needed soon, a larger tv in the living room would be good - a tv in the main bedroom might also be a good idea.
Small things like a small amount of washing liquid or powder for the washing machine, oh and the tumble dryer might need a service.
Apart from that, see you in a week or two on our return.

Great place to spend quality family time. Lovely cottage, did not disappoint, all as described with plenty of space. We chose this property as it had the facilities we wanted, nicely furnished, bedrooms with en-suites for 3 generations of our family.
Parking easy with 2 spaces at the back and free car park in front.
For the amount we paid a few very small things could be improved, in the kitchen only 2 baking trays, 1 rusty.
Also why leave practically empty soap bottles in the bathrooms that have clearly been topped up with water… glad we brought our own.
Only 1 bath towel each provided so take your own for the hot tub.
1 pub in the village, right opposite the house, food good
Vegetable Matters farm shop nearby shame it’s closed Sunday and Monday as lunch good.
Very close to Chipping Campden for more choice of shops and restaurants.
Would definitely consider renting again in the future.

We have stayed at Maple House before (and have booked again for next year!) so we knew what to expect. The house is the perfect size for the 8 adults and 3 tiny kids (plus the dog). The hot tub is the icing on the cake!

We stayed here as a family group of eight people. Maple House was in an ideal location and very clean, warm and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. Everyone had their own bathroom which worked really well. The hot tub was also very popular.
My only (minor) criticism would be that for a house at this price there would be a few extra touches. The stairgate, which we were asked to use to keep our dog downstairs, didn't work due to missing cups. We had to prop it up to stop the dog going upstairs which was fine, but wouldn't have worked with a child as they would have pulled it over. There was only one tea towel for the house, a limited number of dishwasher tablets and no washing up liquid or washing powder. These have always been provided in other houses at this price point.
The local pub (20m away) was fabulous.
Would definitely recommend and we would stay here again.

Stayed here with family for a big birthday celebration. Super comfy house but did have an issue with the hot tub which unfortunately wasn’t resolved during our stay despite the owner coming out to have a look. This was a little disappointing but nevertheless we all had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this house. Plus it is a stones throw from the lovely Ebrington Arms - we ate here twice and would highly recommend. Super friendly staff, great food in a lively setting.

The house was great, it was nice to arrive with the heating on and the Christmas decorations up which made it really cosy and welcoming. There was plenty of space in all of the rooms and comfy seating for the whole group in the lounge and kitchen.
Having plenty of parking was also helpful as the group had travelled from different places.
The spot was really quiet and private and we didn't feel overlooked when using the hot tub.
The pub next door had a great atmosphere and although we didn't eat there the food looked amazing.
We did visit the farm shop and cafe and enjoyed a fantastic breakfast.
We had a query about the hot tub which was quickly answered by the house manager, and they were very accommodating to our requests.
The information pack provided in advance was really helpful and made it easy to find the place and the keys, and the benefit of self check in meant you didn't have to worry about arriving at a set time.

I would thoroughly recommend Maple House. We were a party of 6 adults and 4 children but at no time felt cramped.

The house and location were excellent and the house comfortable. The dining table was a good size but a little awkward with bench seats, chairs would have been a lot easier and there were only seven of us even though the house accommodates nine. Not a major problem, just an observation. The hot tub was a great success.
We had an excellent lunch at the Ebrington Arms, conveniently a very short walk from the back of the house. The local Farm shop & butchers sell excellent produce and the cafe is really good too.
Lots of beautiful Cotswold villages within easy reach.

Wonderful house, great location, thank you for fantastic stay!
Weather was unbelievably hot so we were outside a lot and garden was lovely to sit in.

Maple house is absolutely beautiful!
Very modern and comfortable.
Myself and my family stayed their to celebrate my 30th birthday!
Metres away from lovely Ebrington Arms Pub
We spent our time in the garden and the hot tub. As the weather was beautiful.
Our only criticism is that the outdoor sitting isn’t very comfortable and some sun loungers would of been nice to lounge on, in the lovely garden area.
Would definitely visit Maple House again.
Thankyou.

A great house for family get together!
We found Maple House to be very comfortable and In a great location and well
Maintained.
The facilities in the house were excellent! A well equipped kitchen with plenty of space to sit as a group.
The adjacent pub was very handy for great meals on the doorstep.
The bedrooms upstairs can get very warm with the Velox windows not opening much, maybe a fan should be placed in the rooms, but that is a personal point of view!

Very expensive for one person!! Five bedrooms. 4 unused. No compensation thro bolthole
Very hard to review as family unable to fly from states because of covid. Couldn’t cancel. On own!!!

Wonderful family location for get together
The house was perfect for our get together. Size perfect for 2 families each with 2 small children. Inside the house very clean and Safe garden and hot tub for adults perfect.
BBQ was used (not very clean). Unfortunately I had to clean the patio before rest of families arrived as not clean for use. The chairs, table and patio were filthy, several shovel fulls of leaves etc. .Obviously the outside windows and outside had all the debris from the wind storm about 7-10 days previous.
Only other comment….. House nicely furnished, very clean. The (green bedroom) had a drain smell.
2 small observations which did not spoil our wonderful stay. Thank you!

Short break
We had a really wonderful time staying at Maple house. The accommodation was bright clean and airy and brand-new. The lounge was lovely and big and the kitchen was big enough for nine people to sit round the table comfortably, it was also very clean and well equipped. All the bedrooms were lovely and the beds were very comfortable!
We didn’t use the hot tub as run out of time! The surrounding area is beautiful. It is a very quiet place but you can walk to a local cafe which is very close by and there is a pub behind the property where we had a really lovely roast dinner. It was a great base for visiting other villages which are not too far away. It was very easy and straightforward to book the property and the people I spoke to were very helpful ! We were all very impressed! and would love to return to Maple House. Denise

Lovely house but!
The house was lovely brilliantly situated . However we were disappointed with the cooking utensils there was a small frying supposedly to cater for 9 and no baking trays. Also some of the towels had marks on them . But overhaul we would definitely go back and had a lovely time

A perfect stay
Everything in the property is top quality. The bedrooms were all so nicely done and so comfy, there are plenty of bathrooms for the number of guests and we really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. The decor throughout is beautiful and everything was so clean! We had a wonderful stay and I'd highly recommend this to anyone.

Amazing property
Stunning property set in a great location. I was with 9 friends for a big birthday celebration and it had everything we could possibly need. The hot tub was an added bonus. I would highly recommend.

Lovely property for a family stay
Maple House is a lovely place for a multi family stay. The house is really spacious, with a lovely large kitchen/diner and living room. Ebrington is a beautiful village. The pub is a stone's throw away. Vegetable Matters farm shop and cafe was the perfect place for breakfast. The hot tub was a welcome addition.
My only criticism really would be that the garden was a little sparse (no plants/shrubs) and the lighting on the steps from the parking area was poor - but neither of these things detracted from our enjoyment of the house.
Thank you!

Lovely Property in Cotsowlds
Maple House is in a small village in the beautiful Cotswolds. The property is well-furnished and well-equipped, ideal for larger parties (8 or 9) for shorter or longer stays. The nearby pub and farm shops offer good local amenities but with a garden, BBQ and hot tub it's also easy to stay within the property. Plenty to do in the area with Chipping Camden a walk away and other well known destinations a short drive.

Very very hot and nothing to do with the weather
This place is absolutely lovely but actually is over 40 degrees upstairs and impossible to sleep in - it wasn’t even summer !
