Not good for families

Clean

Awful experience avoid if you've got children. This is a nice apartment but we were just so annoyed by the time we left that it completely overshadowed any of it. We arrived at 3pm to cleaners still in our room completely unaware that we were arriving. We were instantly made to feel like we had done something wrong when we kept being asked for our information by the cleaner so we just said we would come back in an hour. Outside we then saw the landlord who thrust some money at me to get a coffee and come back. Nice of him but less than apologetic really and just made up an excuse about being busy. Not really our fault? Really unprofessional. Then we get to the night sleep. The sofa bed literally has bars you can feel in it so uncomfortable to sleep on. We were in apartment 9 and the music from the night club was so loud all night that I'm amazed my kids didn't wake up aswell as people screaming from the smoking area. When you list you're with children surely the host could put you in a room a bit further away from this as it was just constant and this was on a Wednesday night till 3am. All for people having a good time but could literally hear every song word for word. Not good when you've paid nearly £210 for one night! Stuffy as others have mentioned but you'd have absolutely no chance of opening a window due to the noise. It just felt like it was one thing after another which unfortunately meant we completely disregarded the fact that this is a nice modern apartment.

Enjoyed the whole stay apart from the 2 negative points stated in my feedback

The apartment was really modern and clean. All facilities needed were there for us to use. Using the code and locker to get the keys was simple but I thought was an excellent way of checking in. Checking was simple too. It was next to riverside and by all the main pubs and bars. Didn’t have far to walk at all.

There were 2 things we didn’t like. 1. Was no aircon. 2. We were next to a nightclub and because it was so hot the windows had to be left open so it was really noisy till 3am in the morning. The funny thing was the rules for the apartment is that you had to be quiet after midnight. If aircon was in the apartment then the windows would been closed and the noise from the nightclub wouldn’t have been so bad.

Lovely place, central and really nice

I loved the location, the cleanliness and it was really comfy

The apartment kept the heat in so it was really hot inside the majority of the times, the fans hardly helped so maybe an ac unit would be nice?

Great location

Very well located, easy to find apartment. Layout was great and it had a great terrace that gets sun throughout the day. It’s a very light and bright place. It’s right in the city centre so very easy to get around. They provide tea/ coffee and some bottled water which is a nice touch.

It’s quite a hot apartment and it’s possible to air it during the day, but the evening bars/ clubs run pretty loud into the early hours so you need to close off all the windows. This makes it quite uncomfortable to sleep.

Lovely and clean apartment in convenient location with great staff communication.

Apartment was very nice and SO clean. Looks perhaps newly renovated? Convenient distance from the train station as well as shopping / city center areas. Property provided above average communication before check-in, regarding confirmation of reservation and through check-in instructions.

We had the ground floor apartment and the streets are quite busy with foot traffic. So we had to keep all window shades closed and it was rather noisy in the early evening. I imagine this is only an issue for the ground floor unit of the building.

location was superb and overall its clean.

the room being on ground floor next to the road. very noisy at night. Street lamps were too bright and the curtain didn't block all the lights. I expect the house would prepare the sofa bed beforehand but didn't. we have to make our own bed

Excellent location, efficient check-in. Limited time for outside parking.

Efficient lock box type check-in (Good set up for a group as there was only 1 key). Excellent location. Clean with good facilities as the dishwasher is essential when in groups.

Paid parking is only available for 1 hour (max stay) directly outside of the accommodation (although it is free 8pm-8am) .. for me it is an inconvenience but for some it might not be.

lovely apartment in a wonderful city

It was warm and clean. The kitchen was well equipped, and there was a Christmas tree up for us. The location was great because it was so close to everything. The apartment had double and secondary glazing.

Great York appartment

The location was fantastic. Very clean, modern appartment.

The amount of emails received, gets a little confusing, repeating information. Lounge isnt useable when using the sofa bed. 2 adults could not sleep comfortably on the sofa bed. Should be advertised as 4 adults 2 children. Kitchen tap needs attention, isnt secured properly. Quite noisy being a ground floor appartment

Perfect for visiting York

Brilliant location in the centre of York, very clean and beautifully finished apartment.

as you would expect for a city centre it is slightly noisy at night but the location more than makes up for that

Riverside Beauty

Fantastic location, easy walk into town, beautiful views of the River and virtually next door to the Dungeons. Staff really helpful and accommodating very easily helped to extend our stay. Instructions all very clear. Beautifully decorated and immaculately clean.

Lighting. The lights in the lounge are very bright and there is no dimmer switch, this can easily be addressed. Also, a couple of standard lamps in the corners would help give some ambience. Bifold Doors. Could do with blinds when the sun is strong but appreciate the need to maximise the lovely view. Bedding: Pillow protectors. Lounge Furniture. Beautiful modern design but not made for comfort. This is only designed to be helpful as this is really exceptional accommodation.

Excellent location in City Centre. Was very clean and well equipped. Paid parking was available a a short distance away in public car park.

Only small issue was with the shower. It was very clean and modern and worked well, however water drained away very slowly and pooled in the shower tray.

Lovely apartment

The apartment is in an excellent location, by the river and a short walk into the city centre. It was incredibly clean, well decorated with modern furnishings. The shower was great and bed very comfortable. We didn't use the kitchen much but appeared well equipped. The host communicated well in the build up to our stay and the key collection process was really simple with codes being provided in advance. They also accommodated an early check in for us.

The sofa bed wasn't particularly comfortable, it was pretty hard. There was some noise in the early hours from nearby bars emptying glass into/out of bins (we stayed on a Saturday night).

perfect location .. immaculate apartment

the apartment was stunning. close by to get into centre of york .. would definitely stay again 5star.. my only negatives was I assumed it was on the river .. no iron thought there was a balcony and thought the 2 bedrooms had 2 double beds … but it definitely wouldn’t put us off going again

We loved the size of the apartment and all the facilities and the view of the river.The location was the main plus point though right in the city centre-perfect
