About this cabin rental

Very large 3 story log cabin sleeps 10 with hot tub, fireplace, firepit and kayaks overlooking lake with huge mountain VIEWS! Balconies abound allowing you to absorb those views. Each floor has a king bed master bedroom. Each bedroom has a large television. Four twin beds allows you to sleep ten. Walk to beach, lake, river and waterfall from steps in back yard. Located in Riverbend, a gated private mountain community with thousands of acres of spectacular mountain beauty. Our cabin is located in the private, gated mountain community of "Riverbend" that includes 2 lakes, nature trail along the river with waterfall, swimming hole and a scenic beach at Mirror Lake with a fishing pier. A large pavilion overlooks the lake with rocking chairs , picnic tables and barbecue pits surrounded by stunning lake/mountain views. Directly across from the beach is the nature trail with waterfall and small rapids (perfect for tubing or kayaking). Riverbend features over 3500 acres of scenic mountain land.
The cabin is in a very private setting but only minutes from Lake/river front dining. and Chimney Rock State Park. We have a variety of activities to do around the area from zip lining and hiking to white water rafting. There a number of highly rated golf courses nearby along with putt putt, tennis, horseback riding, four wheeler riding rentals, gem mining, hiking trails and more. Some nearby attractions are Asheville, Biltmore Estate and Winery, Blue Ridge Parkway, Hendersonville, many wineries including our newest one in Chimney Rock called Burntshirt and breweries.
Lake Lure is a great place to get away with the family to enjoy the peaceful outdoors and abundant wildlife. There are also a wide variety of winter activities which include, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, snow tubing, ice skating and so much more!!

Three families ages ranging from 6 months to adult. We had a great stay here! The house was clean, well stocked with starter goods, and lots of beds. It was smaller than what we thought it was in the pictures, but it ended up being the perfect amount of space for us all. Thank you for helping us make lasting memories!

Great home. Well stocked. Had a nice visit with 3 generations of family. Lots to do in and around the cabin and lots within a short drive. Nice for families with younger kids too.

This cabin was a perfect getaway for our family of 5! It was so cozy feeling (but had lots of space)! We LOVED the access to the lake and use of the kayaks, the extra cozy fleece blankets around so everyone had one to snuggle in to watch TV, the wood burning fireplace inside for the cooler nights, and the fire pit for slightly warmer nights. The hot tub was also enjoyable, of course! Highly recommend as a quiet, calm getaway!

The lake view from this property was breathtaking. Just the view is worth staying here. We take an annual family vacation every year. We do quite a bit of cooking and eating while we are on our trips. This place was very well stocked. This was the first place that we have stayed that had Tupperware for us to use. There were a lot of little things like q-tips and soaps in the bathrooms to laundry baskets. It really came with everything. We were very impressed. It was very close to Chimney Rock and Lake Lure if you are looking to visit there. With the lake view from this property, you really do not even need to go anywhere.

It was the perfect house to meet up with some family and make memories over Thanksgiving. We loves playing games by the fire, kitchen was stocked to cook, and beds were comfy. The view was so pretty too.

Property was very well stocked with everything you would need, beach towels, rafts, kayak and even flash lights. Which is good cause power went on due to storm. Would stay again. Very nice home with 3 bedrooms and two open areas which would be good for kids, had two twin beds but keep in mind there is no door. Loft like areas. Perfect for three couples.

We had a wonderful time at this well stocked, comfortable cabin. We took full advantage of the close proximity to the lake utilizing the 2 kayaks and having more SUPs easily delivered. Close drive to groceries so we could use the well stocked kitchen. It was a perfect getaway for our family of 5. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin is beautiful very well stocked with everything we could need. It was very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend anyone renting this cabin. It was a wonderful time with our family and everyone enjoyed their stay. The only problem we had was rain for six days. But we know that’s not anyone’s fault.

We have used VRBO many times but we have never had a home so well stocked with everything from the kitchen to the bathroom. We did not have to purchase basic items like spices or coffee and toiletries and snacks were available for all of us. Location was great as well as the mountain and lake views. Would definitely stay there again!

We had a great, relaxing time together in this great home. Beautiful and as pictured, except that 2 of the bedrooms don't have doors--are open lofts or part of the basement den. WIsh that some firewood had been provided for fire pit or fireplace. Also wished we had a better chef's knife in the kitchen. Only big issue was that the hot tub wasn't hot and when we asked for it to be fixed/adjusted it was not. A real disappointment.

The house was so lovely, perfect as a matter of fact, and we had absolutely everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped, bathrooms as well. Having the washer and dryer was helpful. We had two kitchen issues. You might want to get a vegetable peeler, if you have one we could not find it, and we had difficulty with the coffee pot. We only got it to work three times so went out a bought a new one that went home with one of us who drove there. You might want to change that out. I gave you three stars for the check in because none of us could get the key boxes open. Eventually the two that arrived first managed to get the keyless entry working on the back upper deck door so we continued to just use that. Might be something to address. All in all each one of us commented on how perfect the house was and that we would rent it again should we ever find ourselves back in the area. Great Vacation

Great Vacation

We traveled with family friends for a lake vacation. This property was a short walk down to the lake for swimming/kayaking and just a short drive to Lake Lure where we rented a boat for a day. The downstairs area was perfect for the two kids and we also enjoyed the fire pit. Overall, this was a great trip and the home was perfect for our group.

The property was as advertised. Sleeping spaces were well apportioned and comfortable. The living space was a little tight for 7 adults and the kitchen space and dining space was small as well. The downstairs helped out when we were all in the house, but really could not be together on one floor comfortably. We had a toilet that needed repair (flapper broken) in the main level bedroom. I reported it through a phone call to the management and follow up text message, but it was never repaired during a week stay, still broken when we left. This was frustrating. The internet was very slow, but that is expected in the mountains, this did impact watching any streaming programming. If anyone needs to work online while at this property, you may be disappointed, but the local Ingles has a Starbucks that seems to be the spot to go during the week for folks that may need to do a bit of work. We enjoyed the beach, the swimming hole and the use of the kayaks.

Had an enjoyable stay at this cabin with friends. Plenty of space to spread out lots of bathrooms. Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need. Very nice gated community pretty lake and walking trail. Did not have the kayaks but think it was just to early in the season we were there in April. Would definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed this property. Our family of two adults and 7 kids, 10 and under, fit very well in the property. The house was stocked with everything we needed. The property is close to Lake Lure for groceries. The lake is within a short walking distance and the property had all the chairs, towels, and other things we needed for an afternoon next to the lake. This property will go onto the will revisit list for our family. Thanks Will W
