A real genteel old fashioned hotel with old fashioned service. We were greeted by Anthony for our very delayed check in after 11am with a smile and friendly assistance with parking (a very reasonable $5 per night at a public parking multi story nearby). Rooms are old fashioned but comfortable with all amenities you could need. It certainly was a change from the motels we've so far been using on our trip and we were very happy.

Feels like you have stepped to another time, great service, beautiful hotel. The time you check in you feel well looked after. Room is beautiful, comfortable bed and modern bathroom. Restaurant offers something for everyone, breakfast was excellent. Perfect position to wander to the harbour and Salamanca market and ferry to Mona.

Definitely a hotel with a history! Some of the biggest beds we have seen and a large family room. We did not know of the renovation on going but apart from this and possibility of requesting a harder mattress before we enjoyed living in this historic hotel.
Staff are friendly and housekeeping very efficient. Hot water in shower needs a bit of adjustment but works.
No view of the harbour but it is a close walk from Saturday market and the ferry.

The Hadley's Orient was great for us as we love the historic ambience, furnishings, and vibe in every area of the hotel. Not so suited perhaps for younger folk used to very large bathrooms and the like, as the rooms aren't massive. Super comfortable though and we enjoyed our stay a lot. Awesome cocktail bar. Can't wait to return!

Noisy bedroom to bright. Had to ring housekeeping for additional toliet rolls and to remove rubbish from the room.

The only issue we had was the shower, the water temperature was hot then cold on a regular basis. So, having a shower was not easy, one moment its perfect, then scolding, then ice cold. Otherwise is was terrific. Great Breakfast.

The hotel itself is rich in history and the decor is what you would expect. The rooms were kept very tidy and clean, as was all areas of the hotel. My only gripe is the parking and the access to it. By the way, if you ask me (a customer) how was my stay and I give you feedback on the parking, I don't expect a lecture on how lucky I am to get parking for $5 a day. Let me be very clear here, the parking location is terrible. You have to walk down the street and around the corner of another street to find the entrance. There are 8 levels (including 4a, 5a, 6a, etc) to circumnavigate each time you enter or leave the building. It feels like a trek in it's own right and to be honest, put us off even wanting to use the car. Yes, it's $5 a day, however most, if not all hotels have their own carparks. I actually would've been happier to pay $20 a day for parking if it was more accessible. It should be more clear on your website on the parking situation. This would at least give people a choice on whether to rent a car or not. Otherwise, thank you for a lovely stay in the hotel.

Wonderful stay thrrecas always. Mornings can be a bit noisy with echoea in the halls while people scamper about but the atmosphere, location and staff make it worth it.

It was very enjoyable to stay at such an historic hotel. I had requested early arrival & while not guaranteed, Kellie got me in early. She was delightful to interact with overall. The breakfast option I felt wasn't a good option in terms of value for the price. The service & food quality at dinner, however, was exceptional. Happy Hour in the bar was quite fun. The walk from stop 5 on the Airport Express bus was very easy. Actually everything was very walkable from the hotel. I would stay here again & certainly recommend it to others!

Our stay at Hadleys was comfortable.
The location is a convenient walk to the wharf and Salamanca with the market and eateries and bars.
The ambience of the hotel attracted a more mature clientele who appeared to enjoy their experience.
The staff were friendly and helpful.

It’s a lovely hotel, however it was a shame that the lifts were out of order while we were there. Otherwise everything was perfect.

Wonderful, comfortable, older traditional hotel. A bit dated because of it's age but it is in excellent condition with the charms of yesteryear. Elevator is small, stairs creek and electrical outlets are not standard heights above floor making some outlets unuseable. BUT location, location, location. Restaurant is great (get the fish chowder) bar is relaxing with great selection of drinks (try the gins). BUT the best was the service. Thank you front desk clerk Kitty. Your recommendations and help are much appreciated.
