Horrible with nothing open and no one around.
Eventually got keys to the smallest room and a bathroom that smelt of fish!

Disappointed that it was not what was advertised on your website. There was no restaurant or bar as the description stated. When we look for a weekend away those are two of our must have. It was just a B&B which for me was very over priced. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean.

We only spent two nights here. Room is nice and large, many windows for breezes and a larger bathroom. Bathroom needs a window covering, but nicely set up and the staff/owners/managers are great. Really nice location.

Surrounding enviro dirty otherwise OK

Very expensive for a B&B no evening restaurant and even the bar closed at 8:00 pm.
People coming and going all night.
Used to be so good but won’t be rushing back now.

Very well kept hotel in a quiet neighborhood. Easy walk to the beach or shops.

On arrival at the hotel I had to contact a mobile number that was not the correct recognised number. I then called the number of the hotel nearby "West End Hotel". After a couple of minutes I was let into the hotel. I was given the key to Room 6 (1 key). My hotel stay was 2 nights (Sunday / Monday). On the second day and returning to the hotel the front door was locked. I then let myself into the hotel by using my key for room 6 (is this worrying or not). The hotel was not open for business i.e. Bar or Restaurant. Only the rooms were let out. I was informed that the hotel would be open for business after 1st April. Room was clean and shower room (en-suite) was clean. Food at the West End Hotel was nice and reasonably priced. The 1 key access to the hotel and Room 6 leaves a lot to be desired. The hotel must address this issue. On arrival at the hotel on the Sunday the 1 key wasn't an issue as I believe that I was the only occupant of the hotel on Sunday. The hotel had additional rooms let on the Monday.

The accommodation was quite pleasant. It was very low-key with just about everything "do as you please." We rarely saw the staff but when we did they were pleasant and helpful. The sofa bed in an area separated from the bedroom by a door was a real surprise. This suited us very well as the sofa bed was entirely satisfactory as a second bed.

The bed was very comfy.
But stairs very steep to 3rd floor and shower very small. Would have been nice to have a cloth floor mat- not a cheap paper floor mat.
I liked the cozy room up in the eves of the 3rd floor.

Shower not very big. Nobody at reception to check out, just to leave room key at desk. breakfast in separate hotel.

Quiet, clean hotel near the Nairn Golf Club and city center

Rather cramped.Toilet roll holder falling off the wall. In an extension room, door lock not secure….Clubhouse had been a highly rated hotel but sadly past it’s prime… told it is for sale . Let’s hope someone buys it and gives it TLC……

The hotel itself is ok, a bit dated but not bad.
We stayed two nights and the room didn’t get made or towels changed in between.
Even after telling reception we had no towels and would need some for when we got back from our meal to use in the morning, we still had none and the reception isn’t manned after the bar closes, which was about 9.30!!

Theres is no way this is a 4 star hotel! Wouldnt even give it 1!! Firstly, theres hardly any staff. We were shown to room 14 (outside) where there was still a paint sheet down at the door. The room was tiny but thats not an issue. The issue was the cleanliness. It was DISGUSTING. The ceiling light, which I would hardly ever take notice of, was so thick with dust and cobwebs, you may have thought it was frosted glass but no, it was just filthy!! Toiletries are supposably supplied, well the hand soap dispenser unit was empty, not even an empty bottle just nothing in it! There was a bottle of tesco Alcohol gel was on the sink, this is not an alternative to washing hands! There was no shower/hair gel in the dispenser however there was an empty bottle. We hadnt noticed this until late evening when we were back to the room so the only member of staff available was the barman. He was friendly and to his credit he did manage to get us a few mini bars of soap but also handed us half a bottle of radox bath soak!! I dread to think this is what they are filling up the hair and body shower gel dispensers with!! The bed sheets had a musty scent!! Once you notice the skirtings of the room, you want to unsee it!! They too are filthy. The hotel does NOT offer breakfast and there not a single member of staff available in the morning. Thankfully we only stayed one night which was long enough. We definitely WONT stay here again. At £121 for 1 night I feel robbed.

We had a lovely large room #12 with 2 sofas and a king bed and large tv. Made for good room time after walking down to dinner on the seashore

Staff who were there, very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately breakfast was not available any morning and dinner was not available on two evenings due to staff shortages. However on the nights we had meals, the food was excellent and portion size good. We were told we should have been notified by Expedia when booking that breakfast was not available at this hotel, but no message was ever received.Had we known breakfast was not available on site, we would not have made the booking as this is part of the holiday experience.

Disappointed to arrive and find kitchen had been shut all day. If this was known then I would have stayed elsewhere.
Rooms were fine and spacious.

The room was newly refurbished and comfortable especially the bed. The en-suite was clean but rough around the edges. The finish was poor and the seal on the shower side was broken.
The restaurant was nice and the food was good. They catered for gluten free reasonably well. We had to go to the sister hotel down the road for breakfast. We were the only ones there, but the breakfast was nicely cooked to order. Parking was easy and near to the room for carrying luggage.

Overall my son and I had a pleasant stay, unfortunately the chef was unavailable so we didn’t have a full experience. Having said that we do intend a return visit
