Great stay. Very walkable

This is a historic hotel that has been updated nicely. We loved the spacious lobby and all of the historic photographs around the hotel. The front desk and valet people were great. The only downside was that the bathroom door would not stay closed which caused a draft when showering. The shower curtain blew and would not seal. Overall though, it is a good hotel.

Staff is always very welcoming and helpful and prompt with any requests. Love staying at Hotel St. Francis.

Nice convenient location close to everything but would have liked a full length mirror.

This was quite a cute and quaint hotel room. It was clean with a comfortable bed, but was rather small with no mini fridge. Overall we enjoyed our stay there

Very nice hotel for visiting Santa Fe.

This hotel is close to the major restaurants, shops and the fabulous Herve wine bar! We love Santa Fe! We loved the traditional feel and the history of the building.

This is an excellent hotel, and very convenient to the Plaza and other features of downtown Santa Fe

Charged $30 daily amenities fee announced upon ck-in making cost to stay unacceptable. Staff said amenities fee covered required parking fee, a coffee pot on lobby and cleaning! We stayed 3 days but never used maid. Light out near bed, mold in bathroom and no fan.

Couple of issues with the room but nothing serious.

Heritage building so great AC was unexpected. Easy walking to shopping, dining, and galleries.

Great location, staff are very accomadating and the food is wonderful
The standard king room and bath could use an update.

Very nice historic hotel in a great location within easy walking distance to the most popular tourist attractions in Santa Fe. The staff is great and the rooms are very comfortable.

Lobby was nice. What a shock walking into my room, or, should I say, cubicle. Minimal lighting, sink beside the bed, very small shower and commode space, no desk or chair. Could not completely close curtains. Had to prop open the door on the TV cabinet. Nothing extra in room including ice bucket. Had 2 glasses as 2 water bottles on a shelf. No towel racks except small one on the sink cabinet. Several old-fashioned outlets. My plug kept falling out of one. The provided extension cord helped. Bed was comfortable. Staff was very nice. Got an ice bucket at the desk. No clock in the room. Pool and workout space was at another hotel down the street. Not at all worth the price. Manager took off the added $50 resort/amenity fee.

We did not know we had to ask how to turn on the room light, how to engage the heat, and that a full length mirror would have been available on request; otherwise, things were good. It’s a great location. They have valle parking.

I don’t recommend this hotel. We visit Santa Fe several times a year. We’ve stayed at different hotels each time. We stayed at this hotel in early July, and hated it. The room wasn’t updated. It was extremely dark and small. So when we decided to give the St. Francis a second chance this week, I requested an updated room. I was told that the hotel is a historical building and all rooms are original to the 1900’s specifications. What?? They showed us to our room and I almost started crying. First, no real bathroom. The sink was in the bedroom, with one dim light bulb over the sink. No coffee maker, no refrigerator, and tiny drawers. Plus, the room was very small. We went downstairs and requested to be moved to their sister hotel in Santa Fe. With no questions asked, they transferred us to the Eldorado Hotel just blocks away. Hallelujah!!! The Eldorado Hotel is modern, beautiful, and the rooms have coffee makers & refrigerators. Stay at the Eldorado. You’ll love it!

There was a leak that caused a bad smell in the hallways and even down in the lobby. This smell also was in my room, at times, but not as bad. They had loud fans blowing to help dry out the place. I booked the hotel on Expedia.com and at check out they added a $32 per night (2 nights) charge, maybe because I did not book directly? The friends I traveled with booked directly and did not have this charge.

The hotel was OK. It’s pretty rundown. and they had some big problem when I was there so I had no water or electricity. What drove me crazy was I slipped and fell on the soggy carpet and hurt my ankle so I had to leave early and they wouldn’t give me a refund. There are a lot of nice hotels around there, so I’ll choose a different one next time.

Staff was friendly and helpful meeting every need

They provided us with the worst possible room in the hotel. First floor next to a parking lot. You are able to hear every conversation of people walking in at all hours. Some door slammed constantly. I am glad we were only here one night.

The temperature control for the shower did not function correctly. It was either full hot or full cold.

Walkability

This hotel was good but should not be a 4 star. Room was small. Bathroom tiny. Front desk staff not the best. Housekeeping tried to come in with the Do Not Disturb sign on the door. Door lock died and they had to come replace batteries for us to get back in. Front desk guy suggested we had demagnetized key by placing near phone. I told him that was not the case but it took 2 more rounds of new keys for them to believe something is wrong with door. Restaurant was AMAZING. Gruet wine bar also fun but they ran out of food! Good location. Lower your expectation for a 4 star because it is not.

Hotel is gorgeous. I think we had a ghost in our room one night....but it seemed friendly!!! I have stayed at this hotel many times. Convenient as you can walk to shops and dining. Will come again!

Could hear people moving around in room directly above-need soundproofing. Larger tv screen.

This was the second time I’ve stayed here. It truly is a hidden jewel. The staff are fantastic!!

Hotel is beautiful however There should be a full length mirror in every room as well as better lighting.
Also too many taxes
Gross receipt tax?
occupancy tax
amenity tax which if you use the parking or another sister hotel is ok.Its over kill and greedy on part of hotels.

Loved the laid back feel and historic ambience. New restaurant reopening will add one additional amenity (although you’re within a 2 minute walk to half a dozen really good places)

The hotel was centrally located to shopping, food and entertainment. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is quaint but in need of some updating, repairs and renovations. Power went out for some hours and we would have opened the windows but they had no screens. Additionally we had a view of the 1st floor roof which wasn’t very pleasant.

Hotel rooms are spartan and tiny! Nothing in the room except for two tiny bottles of distilled water. No tissues. Closet too short to hang a dress. Amenity nightly fee of $30 plus tax but the property has no amenities except for coffee in the hotel lobby in the morning. Very strange.

Beautiful old historic hotel that is kept up very well, very clean and welcoming! Excellent front desk staff and management. Just wish it had an option for in room breakfast service for tired travelers. Still, very nice place to stay right in downtown Santa Fe!
