Nice views with clean rooms!

Very nice area, and a clean hotel. Walkable to the beach, but get ready to hike when coming back to the hotel as the hotel is on a hill. Good exercise for the legs. Checkout was fast by Kerisa B. All the staff are friendly.

Beautiful views and lovely property, less than 2 miles from very nice beaches The staff was very helpful and gracious. The restaurant was pleasant and the food good but not great, and service was hit or miss. But overall a great experience.

What’s an amazing place to stay? We had the breakfast package so every day we were able to eat breakfast on a patio looking at the beautiful Caribbean border. The staff is so friendly and personable. That’s where we’re going to go next time we come back if you grab a cab ask for Levi.

Great property with an amazing view!! But the best thing was the staff from check in ,at the restaurant and on departure everyone was great.

The staff was very attentive, especially Christina and the other security staff (sorry, I don’t remember all their names), and Antonio of maintenance; many thanks to Rana for taking care of the check-in issue; Tohondra the waitress was very professional and sweet. Overall, everyone was friendly and helpful. Corine, banquet manager, I believe, was really great. Unfortunately, one of the waitresses at breakfast on the 17th gave me someone’s left over butter which had bread crumbs in it. It was rather disgusting. She denied it but then said the other butter was “hard.” I just hope she will not do that to another guest.

We had a lovely view of the sea and ships moving around Dinner and breakfast were excellent and the staff very attentive. The gardens are lovely.
We did find the steps a bit much but the staff assisted with luggage. I would stay there again.

I stayed in the duplex. With the bed upstairs and everything else downstairs it was a bit inconvenient but the view was amazing and definitely made up for it! The front desk staff were all wonderful to interact with.

The room was clean. Staff was pleasant and friendly. The walk to the room was long, did not have staff to assist. Lots of stairs. The heater was not working so all showers were cold. I communicated this to front desk on the first morning. They sent maintenance team. Maintenance advised that they know what has to be done and the problem should be resolved by the time I return. When I returned at 10pm, the water in the shower was still cold. There is no reception after 10pm so I showered with cold water again. When reception starts at 8am, I called and they advised that maintenance will come again. I checked out at 9:30 and maintenance did not arrive. Another morning with a cold shower.

Having previously stayed at the Trade Winds Hotel, I decided to book again, due to the excellent location, great restaurant and excellent staff. All staff that I came into contact with went out of their way to help me, from booking taxis to arranging a shower room after my check out time, and were all friendly, approachable, professional with a great sense of humour. I would definitely recommend a stay at the Trade Winds Hotel.

All staff at Trade Winds Hotel were very friendly. They provided excellent customer service. The security on site made me feel extra safe and they were friendly. The only issue I had is that there is no bus service near the hotel, which meant that I spent a lot on taxis.

The restaurant had bad service and took forever to get food and brought out meals wrong twice. The morning coffee was the worst coffee I have ever had and was undrinkable.

Room was a duplex which got some adjusting to. There are no ceiling fans so use of air conditioning is must, but the small AC unit in the large space meant you would have it running for a while. Upon entering the room, the bathroom reeked of cigarettes' smoke. Brought it to the attention of the hotel staff and by evening upon my return there was no lingering smell. Some fixtures were working - especially the living room light and one of the lamps - did mention to the hotel staff on day 1 but it wasn't fixed and since it didn't bother me much, I never followed up. The place is quite a distance from the nearest restaurant if you don't count the hotel's own dining area. Taxis need to be requested at the hotel reception - but thats standard for most hotels in this area or close to the city. Great hotel otherwise and I will be staying here again.

Beautiful hotel with stunning views above dickenson bay . The staff were warm and friendly and nothing was to much trouble . The service isnt rushed and everything takes a bit of time but this is all part of the laid back island life which we wanted from our trip so we didn’t mind at all . The food was amazing and there was lots of choice .Can’t wait to return again

Good location, pleasant staff and a very comfortable room.

The rooms are nicely refurbished. Housekeeping staff are great and so is front desk!
The restaurant on the other hand is a different story. There are a few waitresses who clearly don't care about working there or are simply fed up. You will wait forever for your food - so eat snacks before going there.
Apparently the slow/crap service you get at the restaurant is renowned on the island as I was planning on inviting a few clients for supper there and everyone of them opted to go elsewhere due to the lack of service and long wait.
I've stayed there several times there pre-covid and always enjoyed my stay there. But with this new turn of staff at the restaurant - I'll be staying elsewhere.
For the amount they charge at that restaurant, you would think you'd be getting top service...but no. Even other patrons sitting around us noticed and commented the same things of the restaurant.
Too bad cause the food is actually good - but the service is clearly not.

Fabulous views, nice room! Double check your booking when you arrive. My booking was incorrect, but they did upgrade me. Shower pressure isn't the best. Restaurant service is good although was slow at times. Not much in walking distance here. Need a car or car service.
