This hotel is convenient for visiting the city centre, cathedral and shops. My only criticism is that we were not forewarned about off site chargeable parking. This is not clear on the Hotel.com website. Staff and facilities at the hotel can't be faulted.

The Chapter House is an older but charming hotel. The in house restaurant is very popular in the area, consequently you’ll need to make a reservation for dinner. Our room was comfortable and clean with all the expected amenities. The adjoining bathroom was very large and newly renovated.

We loved the bathroom: large bath and separate shower with good quality toiletries. Separate loo. Subtle lighting to see the way to the bathroom at night. The only small criticism is the Sunday breakfast ran out of items that were not replenished and staff although very polite were a little over-stretched.

Kind of a compromise and a chance to stay in an medieval house. Though I would not recommend for people with disabilities as there are uneven stairs only - looks like at the century the house was built nobody thought about elevators 😉

Lovely and charming! This 800 year old half timber building with its slanted rooms, steep stairs and beautifully appointed rooms was a treat! The bathroom and shower was large and updated. The restaurant service was impeccable and the food delicious. Conveniently located across from the gate entrance to Salisbury Cathedral. You won’t be disappointed!

Staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. One of the ladies saved the day by getting us a cab to Southampton in time for our cruise. We were going to Uber and found out there are no Ubers in Salisbury. Do not know her name but we are eternally grateful.

The staff could not have been more professional, accommodating, and charming. The room was well appointed and the soaker tub was a “godsend” for weary travelers. Breakfast was outstanding to boot !! Would happily return to this property.

Our stay was amazing. The room was spacious, quaint and felt like we had gone back in time. The building was 800 years old, so the floors and stairs were uneven, but it only added to the charm. We loved it! The bathrooms were modernized and spotless. Breakfast was cooked to order along with a buffet. It was delicious. The staff was delightful. They couldn't have been any better. The location was close to the cathedral and about a 20 minute walk to the train station.

Very easy to get to from the train station and very central to shops and restaurants. The cathedral is just across the street. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Although the building is over 500 years old the rooms are roomy, nice and clean!! Loved this place!

Great food. Loved the stairs! We were up on the top floor, so it was quite a workout. Everyone was helpful and friendly. The road was noisy, but—heck—it’s at a junction in the city centre, so . . . Not a fan of the Royalists, but hanging out where Charles I reportedly stayed was charming.

Have been staying here for years because it’s a great experience all round. Staff can’t do enough for you, rooms are beautiful and full of character and a great kitchen with some of the best steak you can get. Never fails to deliver.
