Nice and clean but due the weather no tv signs so if I book again will check the weather reports.

Great stay as always. Staff really lovely and friendly and efficient. Thanks so much. PS. Lovely spa! đ

Just a small thing if you have a bar meal tables are either too low or too high for the seats. The velex window could do with a clean

We stayed here for the MotoGP at Silverstone, about a 30 minute drive away. All the hotel staff were very friendly and efficient and the hotel itself is a comfortable place. Reasonable price compared to what was on offer in Silverstone. Didnât have dinner here so canât comment, but we did have a good breakfast here each day. Would probably stay here again next year.

Great service and friendly staff.
3.8
Friendly and helpful staff. Good food at the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. Unfortunately, though the room was confortable, it was dated and extremely hot with no effective ventilation. Disappointing also that the swimming was only accessible to adults (or children >16 year old) and at a fee of ÂŁ20/person. This should be made clear at booking with regard to the Spa.

Really enjoyed our stay here for the Grand Prix. The only slight moan with be with the pillows, too soft for our liking. Apart from that excellent hotel and staff.
3.8
Have to mark this down because it was impossible to sleep as the room was a sauna. there was no air conditioning in the bedroom and the only way to cool the room was an ancient fan which had a timer of max 2 hours.
3.8
Staff were great. Rooms were clean and very spacious.
3.8
The golf course and the property are beautiful as well as the surrounding area. Take note that the rooms are not air-conditioned. They do provide you a fan if you can figure out how to make it work or you can open the window that has no screen on it.
The workers were friendly however the price for food and drinks was on the high side, especially if you are converting from the Canadian dollar to the pound.
3.8
Friendly staff. Great view from dining room, and delicious breakfast. Sadly no time to try any facilities.
Clean quiet bedroom, once I found my way to 2nd floor!

I had a very nice stay at Hellidon Lakes Hotel. The check-in and check-out was very easy and went smoothly. The evening meal in the bar/restaurant was delicious.
3.8
Amazing break from city life, spa facilities are superb!
Would recommend 100%

Very noise room, knocking radiator all night and a very early wake up by the geese so really not a good night sleep. Saved by a very lovely lady in the breakfast room called Vicky who was an absolute ray of sunshine. Big thank you to her for making my morning âşď¸
3.8
Hotel is extremely tired. Corridor up the the room smelt of damp. Room was freezing cold and had to get someone to come up and fix the radiator.
Hotel was full of loud groups. Food was bland and expensive for what it was. Would never stay again.

My fourth use of this hotel
Arrived 2210 after dining elsewhere
No obvious staff at reception. Had to call for check in
Had requested a standard double room as previously, allocated a twin room 102
Dilapidated wing of hotel. Loose toilet roll holder in bathroom - sign of a lack of maintenance
Bitterly cold. No heating. Heater did not work minus 4 Celsius outside.
Woken at 0610 by singing and slamming of door by noisy guest in corridor.
Yet to experience the bathroom and the breakfast, check out etc
Not likely to use again for winter.

I stayed here for three nights as I was attending a property course and I was really disappointed in my bedroom facilities. The hotel itself is really nice and the outside scenery and views are spectacular. The staff around the restaurant are friendly and helpful including Ben, Julian, a young girl whose name I forget and another lady who looked after breakfasts - they are all helpful, friendly and approachable. Lucy at reception is also very friendly and easy to talk to.
The issues I encountered were a few fold with the main one being that my room was freezing, no matter what I did - it was so cold. I remember falling asleep on night one and I made a point of answering the "how was your check in" email from Expedia and I mentioned the issues. No response was received by me so I went to the reception in good faith and I let the receptionist know that my room was freezing to which she confirmed that she would let maintenance know. In addition, my room had not been made up after night one even though I specifically left the door notice on.
I then went back to my room to sleep on night two and evidently realised that my room hadn't been made which was quite frustrating. The food is also overpriced and the portions are tiny, although delicious. Value for money is not a thing at this hotel, I feel and customer satisfaction isn't high on the priority list.

The hotel rooms are great clean and comfortable lots of space.
Restaurante took over 40 minutes to order food it came with hot coleslaw dessert we request custard it came with cream.
If you want a cooked breakfast you'll have to be up early ran out at 8.30am
No croissants pastries. Tables left uncleared. We were attend a 3 day Taekwondo event which was booked over 12months ago the hotel wasn't prepared for such a large event.
Challenge Manager but our complaint seemed to fall on deaf ears. Staff seemed inexperienced. Didn't even know what their managers name.
3.8
A very tired hotel, our bathroom wasn't cleaned at all and the room could do with updating in every way. the double bed was two singles put together. Then from 7pm to midnight there was an event going on directly under our room that was so loud you couldn't here the tv in the room. The front desk didn't seem to care at all at the many complaints being received. The restaurant was okay but massively over priced.
3.8
Enjoyed my stay. A little in the middle of no where. In a beautiful quiet setting nevertheless. Renovation works to the pool are on going so didn't get the chance to check it out. However, I did use the spa and had a pleasant massage.
3.8
Check in was delayed as room not ready, I arrived after suggested time.
Flies in the room (end of October stay) which seemed surprising. I did seem to be in an annex over the kitchen/ rubbish section of the hotel and when i opened the velux style window the vent from the kitchen offered a wholly refreshing smell of sprouts.
Staff seemed to find every question (not that I asked more than 3) difficult to deal with.
Ordered food from the bar and which was ok but chips weren't cooked and condiments took quite some time to come out, my meal was almost over. It was not a busy time.
Overall, it was an expensive room for the night and quite frankly not worth the money.
3.8
Breakfast was poor selection for a healthy breakfast minimal⌠there was rubbish in one of the draws in my room from the previous guess.. could have been so much better
3.8
Quality of food was not so great
Very unfriendly staff
I went to check in 5 minutes before 3pm but they returned me back saying it is not 3 oâclock yet
3.8
Great experience in fabulous surroundings
3.8
Location was nice but the receptionist was not helpful at all, early check in was still charged at fully price for 40 mins early even after I had spoken to the resort twice in the day to have a room ready. No manager to speak to and no choice but to pay or wait till 3pm regardless of a wedding going on. No A/C, wasps come in, would not recommend.
3.8
The room was dirty, rubbish left in bins, towels used, dead flies on carpet and window sill, cobwebs around the windows.
Food overpriced and very poor service from the staff in restaurant and bar
3.8
Would not choose again based on money spent , have had better service in a budget hotel , was very disappointed with my booking and service received
3.8
Very disappointed
Never told until checkin that the pool facility werenât open again same as last year
If we know it wasnât open I wounded have booked
Hotel had wedding that took over the hotel
There was no were to relax and have a drink without been in the middle of the hotel party
No room service
No offering of a desert menu at the bar like last year ( itâs seems they offer less but the cost of staying doesnât reduce)
Breakfast was a shamble too they had probably 50 golfers in plus wedding party
So wasnât room at a proper breakfast table
Then fire alarm went off due to burnt toast !!
Then when everyone came in from the rain there was no food ready so had to wait another 15 mins as all the above hit the food at the same time
Oh and the milk was off at the coffee station
Not a good start to my familyâs holiday
3.8
Iâve been here 4-5 times but wonât be coming back. Everywhere looks very tired and dirty and the corridors had a horrible smell. The toilet floor looked like it had never been cleaned. There was a hole in the ceiling in the bar with a bucket under to catch a leak. Not enough bar staff so big queues. Tables and bar all covered in mess and spilled drinks. On a positive note the food in the restaurant was very nice and the staff are always friendly and professional.
3.8
Couldnât get into my room, when I went down to ask why seemed someone had been in they was water and toothpaste in the sink. Waited at the bar for 10 minutes no one around to serve so went to the local pub a couple of mile away
3.8
Hotel rooms where of a good size. It could have done with a better clean. The hotel was looking a bit tired in places. Tape holing down carpet was noticable. I would however stay again and the breakfast was good.
3.8
Nice large, seemingly very quiet but apparently very busy hotel.
3.8
I assume the hotel has been closed down or recently opened up as there was nobody there and a lot of facilities unavailable. Also no idea what food they served as I couldnât find menus online or any on site so I just got takeaway food and took it back to my room each night instead. The gym was very good though had great variety of equipment
3.8
Stayed for a work function. Room was spotless, beds comfy, nice bathroom. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Only grumble - The lights on the mirror didnât work.
3.8
Very comfortable and spotless room, exactly as advertised. The staff were very welcoming and friendly throughout our stay and made for an enjoyable break.
3.8
Hotel was lovely. We were never told of breakfast finishing at 9.30. They didnât mention it at check in or when we left for a wedding or arrived bk. so we missed breakfast. They were good enough to give us coffee and pastries. Also ÂŁ25 for early check in was a bit expensive
3.8
Just stayed for one night on business. Needed an early breakfast and Gary the Chef pulled out all the stops to accommodate before the restaurant even opened, that was the best customer service Iâve ever experienced!!
3.8
Good staff, good location very peaceful, great English breakfast. Room very clean but a little dated, no fridge and fan on its last legs. Some updating going on which should sort this out. Spa facility also being upgraded so closed currently.
Struggled with cold water supply during the heatwave ( maybe needed to drain a lake ). We will be back next year.
3.8
unfriendly receiption staff(some)
room not to high standards required for the price
breakfast to very standared quality
would i come back= no

We have just had a 4 night mid week stay in an Executive room which was clean, comfortable and had an amazing view over the lakes. Breakfast each day was delicious and served by lovely Deirdre. We shall be back.
