Poor breakfast, horrible comfort ie beds, tv cable box no patio furniture and no free water. Beds are like cement and they have no idea how to make an omelet. Example. No cheese on omelets.

This is truly a 5-start hotel with excellent (English speaking!) service and amazing amenities including two pools - one that is reserved for adults only. There are two main restaurants, one with more traditional food and the other with more seafood, both are excellent. I did have one issue which was that there was some noise from a party I could hear in my 7th floor room but the reception accommodated me to move to a different part of the hotel where it was quieter.

This is not a 5 or even a 4 star hotel if you’re well traveled you know the difference. Junior suite, room its self is decent but for $280USD a night underwhelming. A ocean view unit suite is only an ocean view when you turn to the right. Directly in front of you are apartment buildings. When you arrive you’ll be charged another $60 for breakfast. But that’s just the beginning of the comedy show about to take place during your visit. That voice in your head will constantly remind you “you paid $280 a night for this garbage” mostly for the following reasons: No lay flat bed or chairs on beach just a hard plastic table type chair. Listen to me, this is your warning, you want a beach vacation to relax but you won’t. You will be bothered every 45 seconds by a vendor peddling something , there’s more of them on that beach than actual guests. I’ve been to 60 countries. I’ve been to every beach in Colombia and this is absolutely out of control, BELIEVE ME, it’s worst than you can imagine! Food is just horrible, servers are lazy, lethargic and slow. VERY SLOW. They won’t serve you, you will have to chase them down. At any bar or Resturant in that hotel. No mini bar in your room. Not even a bottle of water. Service from everyone you encounter is subpar and just generally unfriendly. Towels are small , thin so I hope you love that sandpaper feeling towel after that sunburn you just got. 1 robe in room with 2 guests and I asked 2x for a 2nd robe for my girl… it never arrived and I gave

We stayed 4 nights, and the furthest we went from our room was the beach in front of the hotel. Had the jacuzzi suite with a huge balcony overlooking the beach, incredicble views. The food from room service was excellent, maybe next time we will make it to a restaurant. My favorite hotel room ever, and goung back in a few months!

I bought a ocean front room and ended with something else and the staff couldn’t accommodate because they over sold the rooms but never credit the extra that they charged for the ocean front.

The property and location were great, so we're all of the staff and features like the pools and restaurants. The only major gripe was with the bed, it was so hard and terrible me and my partner preferred sleeping on the fold out bed from the couch after 2 days because we both started to have awful back pain, and both of us are active young people. There are some awful design decisions like how you can't take a shower without most of the water getting onto the floor, the super bright flashing lights on the ceiling at night, the light switches make 0 sense and require trial and error to see what they do, and claro the tv service going in and out, but in the grand scheme of things those are mostly irrelevant. Overall, if they swapped out the mattresses for literally anything else I'd definitely return in the future, the staff was fantastic.

-We did not like that the swimming pools closed at 6 P.M. They should at least stayed opened until 8 or 9 P.M. -The pillows must be replaced. Once one puts his/her head down, the pillows sink all the way donw to the mattress. -There should be soap and shampoo at the showers where the guests that are checking out go to after exiting the sea.

Every room has an amazing view. Staff is extremely friendly and attentive. Breakfast is good and the pools and beach area are amazing. The gated beach loungers mean you can get the beach rays and hotel wait service while still running out to dip in the ocean. We enjoyed po drinks and the rooftop bar. The cleaning staff does an amazing job in the rooms. It’s easy to get to Santa Marta’s historic center and it’s walkable to Zazue for a relaxing dinner (go to Cinto it’s the best!). Special appreciation to one server - Maribel. Maribel always had a smile, was quick with the coffee, and even served the beach lounging guests. She was friendly, approachable, and always ready to help. Really appreciated Maribel remembering us after our first breakfast and making sure we were well attended to afterward. If you go look for Maribel!

Property itself is in great shape and new. The service is terrible in every department. Staff needs better, extensive training and good management is required before I can rate this higher than a 3 star. I was warned about the service from a friend, but I wanted to give it a shot. Lack of employees, lack of professionalism, and overall a disorganized staff with little communication hurt this rating badly.
