About this house rental
OCEANFRONT Salvo – Ocean St. – King Arthur’s utopia may have been fictional, but a setting of idyllic happiness and peacefulness is very real at this CAMELOT, a stunning six-bedroom/five-full and two-half-bath home that turns your vacation dreams into enduring memories. After you arrive, unpack your belongings with the convenience of an all-floor elevator, allow the dogs to run in the enclosed front yard and marvel at the ocean views that will greet you from morning to night, you will notice the thoughtful details that make this custom-designed home the perfect place to let go.
It starts with the ground-level pool area, a professionally landscaped oasis to while away sunny days. Beside it, are two outdoor showers and a six-person hot tub that sits under cover for no-matter-the-weather soaking. Just inside is a half-bath and a game room with a pool table, Smart TV and full-size refrigerator to load up with beverages and snacks. Two bedrooms — one with two twins and one with a pyramid bunk and trundle — along with a full-bath on this level, give the kids their own private space to be, well, kids. Three more bedrooms are located on the first level with access to a wrap-around deck: Two queen master bedrooms, one with an ensuite accessible-friendly bathroom, and a double with ensuite bathroom. All of the home’s bedrooms have TVs, but when it comes to enjoying big-screen entertainment all together, the theater room on this level does not disappoint. Grab a beverage from the wine cooler, settle into the comfy sofa and morph into movie magic as the screen descends from the ceiling.
The sixth bedroom, a king master with ensuite bath featuring a jetted tub is located on the top level. Walk out onto the deck and let the rising sun greet you good morning. Better still, enter the adjacent great room, where 80 oceanfront windows flood the open and airy space with natural light and gorgeous views. A gourmet chef’s kitchen addresses the challenge of feeding a crowd with a double wall oven and plenty of counter space accompanied by six stools for preparing and sharing the day’s feast. Two adjacent areas provide family dining around table for 10-12 and an additional round table that seats four. Two separate great room areas accommodate those who want to settle in for an evening of TV and for others who want to catch nature’s show outside with the benefit of a telescope. There’s a half-bath on this level, too, and an expansive deck to take it all in — the sound of the waves, the smell of the salt air and the peacefulness of it all. As the lyrics go “there's simply not a more congenial spot for happily-ever-aftering than here in Camelot.” Book it today.

Enjoyed a wonderful beach vacation with family/extended family (adults, teenagers). Our first time on OBX and can’t wait to return.
Highlights:
- Property is large and we had plenty of space to spend time together or alone time.
- Beach is amazing, midsummer with tons of room to spread out and enjoy the coastline. Have to love places where you can head to the beach whenever you want and still find a great ocean front spot to pull up a chair.
- Very quiet area of OBX, nice neighborhood.
- Lots of features for all to enjoy rain or shine: large kitchen, great room, multi-story decks, entertainment room with pool table, theater room, pool, hot tub. If you don’t like sand, the home has everything you want for a stay-cation.
Wish list:
- Rental is probably better suited for people traveling by car. For the price of the rental, it was really sparse on basic household items, eg no hand towels or travel soaps in the bathrooms, no starter spices or condiments in the kitchen, no beach equipment. We used the towel service but those too were quite limited and very scratchy, poor quality. The property manager was clear when we emailed ahead of time, so the listing is on point. No complaints there. If it’s not stated, it won’t be there. Unfortunately, as we were traveling by air, it’s an annoying ask to pack those extras or buy a number of things you need for a week and won’t bring home.

Had amazing time. Other than the grill being a bit dirty and a drawer being broken. The place was great. Fit 13 people. Pool was great. Everyone had a blast. Great house!
