We first stayed here in 2023 for a week in August, We liked it so much that we came again this year (July 2024)
It is a huge house, more than enough room for all 12 of us and our 3 dogs
The bedrooms are massive, the bedding is lovely quality.
The kitchen is well equipped, with room to dine in as well, if you don't want to use the dining room.
The grounds are well kept with lovely views at the front and plenty of parking space.
We loved having the use of a swimming pool and hot tub, in particular.
Just along the road is a fresh milk Kiosk where you can buy milk, eggs and create your favourite flavoured milk shakes, this was a big hit for the children.
The location is perfect for a peaceful retreat, with the benefits of shops, restaurants, tourist attractions and lovely beaches very close by.
The only reason I wouldn't recommend this holiday venue is that it might prevent it being available for us to come back again.
Thank you to Anne-Louise and Paul for being such great hosts

The beds were very comfortable
Paul and Anne-Louise were very responsive to an issue we had
We would recommend this house but transportation is a must

We absolutely loved our stay at High Park House - the gardens/grounds and space are stunning and work brilliantly for a large group (we were 14).
There are very small things that we noted that are ways to perfect (so not complaints) - move fridge closer to the kitchen, cords for the blinds to be brackets, vacuum under beds and bit a bit more thorough with cleaning as some dusty/cobwebby corners and plugholes, outside front patio could do with a clean, fix the second bulb in the swimming pool and ease departure by half an hour. These are all small things but they don't detract from the fact that the property is fantastic and has a great set up, the pool and the trampoline were a huge hit with the children and we'd definitely go back which we've not said about a property before! Thanks so much to Paul and Anne-Louise for a really lovely and memorable stay, we loved it!

I hired the Big House aka High Park House to bring my disparate family together to celebrate my parents 80th Birthday. There were 14 of us aged between 12 and 82. The house fit us perfectly especially with the large kitchen and farm table, the easy access to the swimming pool and hot tub, and the additional rooms for those needing space and quiet time. The owners were approachable and welcoming, with good communication. We found ample outdoor locations to have a family photo shoot to commemorate the stay.
All local amenities ie supermarkets and beaches are close by, by car.

We had the best weekend away celebrating an 80th birthday. There were 14 of us, the house was plenty big enough and we all enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful and really well equipped, the beds were super comfy and everyone slept really well. The pool game, swimming pool and hot tub was a hit with everyone! The welcome basket was a really great feature, the scones were really yummy! The owners were lovely and they made sure we had everything we needed, they also showed us around the accommodation and facilities. The location of the house is perfect, it was lovely and peaceful but you aren't too far away from shops etc! We will definitely be back, thank you for a lovely weekend 😊

Biggest and best house we have ever stayed in. Beautifully presented with more than we needed. We loved it. T
We were there for a family get together for a 50th birthday. Ages 8 to 72 and one small dog. Space was amazing. Swimming pool and hot tub across the garden. We didn't want to go home! Peaceful rural setting but close to Bideford and lots of places to visit by car. We would recommend it highly.

The house suited our needs perfectly and we had a lovely week with all our family together. The kitchen is really well stocked with all cooking and baking items, plus plenty of crockery and cutlery, as well as cups and plates for the children. There was plenty of space for the children to run around, and we all loved the pool and jaccuzi.

Family holiday of 3 generations, we all enjoyed our stay. The indoor pool and hot tub were a big hit with everyone and the games room with the pool table provided good entertainment in the evenings. Lovely grounds for outdoor use. Would recommend to anyone with a large group.

Our family (age ranges 4years to 79 years) found that High Park House suited all their requirements. It is a well maintained and equipped property set in lovely grounds which are great for children and adults to enjoy. There is even a trampoline for the children. The indoor swimming pool is an excellent amenity. The owners are friendly and very approachable. We hope to be able to visit again.

High Park House is in a league of its own. So well proportioned, decorated and equipped. We had everything we needed. Anne-Louise and Paul were perfect hosts and I couldn't recommend this place enough. The swimming pool was the icing on the cake, a perfect place to go to meet up with all our family. We very much hope to return as we're all having withdrawal symptoms!

I booked High Park House for my 40th Birthday, and I'm so happy I did!
The location is perfect, only a short journey to some beautiful places. The house was perfect for the younger children as they enjoyed exploring the house and the grounds. There are so many positives about our stay I can't list them all, but I highly recommend High Park House!!
Friendly owners and great communication!

What an amazing place. The property was immaculate, the facilities were fantastic, and it’s 10 mins to the beach. We all had a brilliant time in the swimming pool and hot tub too. What more do you need. Thank you

High Park House is an excellent choice for any small or large business events or for family holidays.
A superbly located house set in beautiful countryside with multiple rooms and areas to sit and play in.
Very well equipped kitchen allowing you to cook anything for all 16 people. Most rooms have an ensuite leaving only a couple of rooms to share the main bathroom.
Close to shops and attractions in the local Devon area.
Would definitely recommend.

As a big family we wanted somewhere spacious this house was perfect. There were 16 of us including 6 Children. On arrival we received complementary scones with jam and cream which was an absolute treat after a 2.5 hour drive. The house is absolutely stunning so warm and homey and was also decorated with Christmas trees. We loved the pool which was heated well and also the hot tub. The house was very clean and we were amazed at how well equipped it was. The grounds are stunning unfortunately we had a lot of rain so didn’t get out much but we left very well rested. Great location with supermarkets and shops a 5 minute drive away. We will definitely be returning. Thank you to Anne-Louise and Paul for sharing this stunning home.

Booked for our 40th wedding anniversary with our kids and grandchildren. Ages ranging 1 to 59 years old. Also 2 dogs. A great time was had by all. Plenty of space in the house for everyone not to get under each other’s feet. The swimming pool, hot tub and pool table were all firm favourites and were well used. We hired a private chef for our Sunday lunch, the day of our anniversary, he was amazing and made the perfect addition to a perfect stay. Anne-Louise, the owner, was at the house to greet us on arrival with a gorgeous cream tea. She gave us a tour of the house and pool and was friendly and very approachable. We would all definitely recommend this lovely accommodation.

Came with some friends to celebrate our A-Level results and WOW. The pictures don’t really do the property justice, it’s huge. We used the pool everyday which was warm and the hot tub was lovely. The location is great being only 5mins to an Asda and around 10mins to Westward Ho! beach which is lovely. The hosts were lovely giving us a proper guided tour on arrival and providing complementary scones, nothing was ever too much trouble and they were lovely and friendly. We had the best week together and would 100% stay here again :)

High Park House is a super large house with lovely views and accommodation. We were a party of 13 and really enjoyed the large country house feel. The kitchen is well appointed and fantastically large, we didn't need / use the separate dining room except for an office for one poor soul who had to work a bit on holiday! Fridge and freezer space is really good, and we loved popping to the nearby Milkstation for milk, eggs and milk shakes. The pool and jacuzzi have a timetable which we were unsure of liking before we went, but in the end we really liked it - it gave our days some structure and solved the problem of children wanting to stay in long past the adults stamina! Loved also the 24hr opportunity for a night lights/disco swim, amazing experience! It is also the best managed and maintained pool we have experienced (and we've experienced quite a few!). Tip top quality all week. It's also a bit mind blowing that you are in a lovely 'country estate' but only just down the road are opportunities for excellent shopping expeditions - can be important with teenagers! There's so much to do in the area you could never be bored! Highly recommended!

Super Devon Getaway
This house was a fantastic find for our family get together.
Spacious and fully equipped, we wanted for nothing.
Beautiful grounds, well kept and away from any road noise.
Local supermarket close by and easy access to the A39 to assist with access to beaches.
We had such an enjoyable stay, I would definitely recommend.

HIGH PARK HOUSE
We had a lovely stay at High Park House in May 22.
The accommodation was spacious and well equipped. The bedrooms had really comfortable beds and 5 had en-suites so great for a group of friends to relax and enjoy.
The swimming pool and hot tub were a favourite and the rota worked really well too.
Anne Louise and Paul made us very welcome and could be contacted to help with any queries.
Thank you for a wonderful holiday in North Devon. We would definitely recommend

We spent a wonderful family holiday with 16 people. The house is furnished to a high standard. We lacked nothing. The landlords were very nice and helpful. We can highly recommend the accommodation.

The home was amazing, welcomed with home baked scones, clotted cream and fresh milk from the dairy kiosk down the street. A well stocked kitchen for the cook in the family. The grandchildren loved the playing in the pool, parents enjoyed the hot tub. All enjoyed playing pool. Great way to bring in the new year.

Family get together 04/10/21 -10/10/21
14 of us covering 4 generations have just returned for a great weeks break at HIGH PARK HOUSE, from the initial meet and greet by Anna Louise ,to the welcome cream tea, the guided tour of the house, great start to our week. The house itself what can i say great rooms , quiet lounge ,family loud lounge , really social kitchen ,pool/games room and the bedrooms ,everything was there. Kitchen really well stocked with utensils ,crockery (some of which i do not know it's use) pots and pans , 2 fridges ,2 freezers and range style electric double oven , grill and multiple hobs. Well maintained grounds ,nice to stroll around or just sit and chill in the countryside. Swimming pool and Jacuzzi , a great plus on any holiday . Allotted times throughout the the day / week for main house and other accommodation , plus a lot of free periods when it is on a 1st come basis. Ideal spot for enjoying all that North Devon and North Cornwall has to offer. Will definitely be going back . Well done Anna Louise and Paul for having and maintaining the properties to make sure every visitor has a great time.

Lovely stay at High Park House in comfortable beds and relaxing surroundings. Wonderful views and well maintained garden areas, which were dog friendly. The owners were on hand and helpful without being intrusive. The house was very well equipped and the location ideal for shops and local resorts. Having private time to use the pool was great, plus the opportunity for additional swims made this the best organised place we’ve stayed. The only minor negative we found was that other quests walked their dogs on our garden area, and the lack of lights outside made the “poop patrol” difficult. Other than that we can’t fault this for a family holiday and would definitely stay here again. Our week flew by too quickly.

The loveliest week!
We had an amazing stay at High Park House. The house was stocked with everything we needed for a week of food, drink and games, and the surrounding grounds, pool and hot tub were fab. Anne-Louise and Paul were on-hand to answer any queries we had, including help on working the barbecue, and we loved meeting Bertie the dog! There are some good pubs nearby and coastal walks and beaches are within driving distance. All in all, a much-needed week of relaxation and rest after what has been a tough eighteen months. We'd love to come back and stay again in future.

Great Family Holiday.
This summer has been the first time our family (14 of us) has been able to all stay together since the pandemic first lockdown. Thanks to straightforward instructions it was easy to find High Park House and we were met by Anne-Louise and Paul. We had been were very impressed with the Covid 19 information read before our stay. We were welcomed on arrival into a lovely clean house with a Devon Cream Tea which was much appreciated after a long journey. The very well equipped property is geared to the needs of a family and was much enjoyed by us all for a week. The swimming pool was a very good amenity and the timetable for each property worked extremely well. We appreciated the sole use of the front garden and trampoline and we were able to make use of the barbecue without disturbing other properties! We wished we had booked for 2 weeks!
