A somewhat outdated (recently renovated ??!) apartment, which is rented and managed by a friendly older gentleman.
The cozy two-room apartment with a small, separate bathroom contains everything you could expect to cope with everyday life, although preparing extensive meals is difficult or impossible because some kitchen appliances are missing. Even if the existing ones are of poor quality and some are not usable (pans), you can still prepare simpler dishes without any problems.
Fortunately, and in keeping with British-Scottish politeness, some basic food items were already available (coffee, bread, bacon, eggs), so no additional effort was necessary on the day of arrival. The apartment was clean, but not pure: there is a need for minor improvement in many corners, starting with the moldy corners of the bathroom, a missing wardrobe, and squeaky door latches. Also not so convincing was the fact that the owner apparently entered the apartment several times while we were away - without asking first.
Nevertheless, a beautiful garden, a wooden terrace - also a bit outdated - and the silence of the apartment were good. In connection with the extensive tourist offer and the massive effort that the owner had put into the apartment and the various, self-created brochures for tours in the area, it is still a total of 4 stars.

We stayed here 5 years ago and returned. I think that says a lot :). The Annex is in a perfect little spot, and has everything we need. Bed is comfy, space is cozy, and feels like home. Besides the conveniences, Leslie is amazing. Great communication, willing to help with whatever you need. And had some items for breakfast there!… which was wonderful after a late night arrival. He is honestly just a wonderful man, and this time was hard to leave! He has become like family. I hope we can return soon.

My daughter & 16 yr old granddaughter & I are from the US. We wanted to see some of the Scottish Highlands so decided to travel as far as the trains from London would take us which was this enchanting small town of Nairn. Our host Leslie was more than accommodating and his apartment kitchen was complete with everything we needed to cook for ourselves including plenty of breakfast food with the best fresh eggs.
Be sure you take advantage of the town’s beach. My daughter lives near the beach in FL & found this one most attractive.
We recommend making reservations at Golf View Hotel’s lovely restaurant for dinner one evening. Great food & beautiful sunsets off the beach.
We hope to come back one day

Facelift??
First impression is that the owner needs to engage help as it needs a good deep clean throughout Far too much artificial /real plants and ornaments add to the huge amount of clutter in guest sitting room of property which needs a major update. Items in flat look and feel very old and over used. His keenness to please is charming but no answer to poor standards.

Great property and super friendly host
Leslie greeted us, explained everything, had basic food available and had excellent prepared information for anything you may want to do in Northern Scotland. Beautiful garden , great shower, fully stocked kitchen and a host that cares for his guests, what more can one ask for? We hope to return when we can stay longer.

Smashing accomodation
Leslie met us on arrival and was very friendly and informative. Accommodation was very comfy and everything you’d ever need was there. We have stayed in accommodation run by big firms and have to say they could learn a think or five from Leslie. Great hospitality all round. Thank you very much. Eddie & Heather

Scotland in the year of Covid
Friendly hosts who gave us good tips on places to visit as NTS places shut. Excellent location for visiting The Black Isle and Dunrobin Castle. Weather was sunny with sprinkling of showers. So lovely to be on holiday again in such an awful year.

Great location
The place was great. Only complaint was the WIFI was a little iffy but we could float around in the main residence to get a better signal for working if needed. The host was gracious and helpful. I hope to see Leslie again when in Nairn.

Wonderful Apartnent
Can’t say enough about our experience here. This was our first stop, our first time to Scotland. And talk about Scottish hospitality at its finest. Leslie greeted us upon arrival, had food in the fridge for our breakfasts. (Not only that, but being so jet lagged, he even prepared us a meat pie for dinner!). He gave us all the scoop about Scotland, travel tips and history. A wonderful start to a wonderful trip! The apartment has everything you need and is very modern, clean and convenient. The bed is comfy. The location is perfect. I just loved this first week in Scotland! Thank you Leslie! You are amazing!

Oais of calm
I stayed in apartment 1 - it has everything you need and with Les' thoughtfulness it is very comfortable. The weather was very kind during my stay so it was great to be able to move one of the hairs on the decking on to the grass to enjoy the sunshine. The apartment is ideally located off the A96 & is a gentle short stroll to the main shopping area. There is also a lovely walk from the apartment down to the sea & along the shoreline.

Great apartment!
The apartment had everything we needed. Clean and comfortable, a short walk to the train station and restaurants. A slightly longer walk to the beach. A lovely patio in the garden. Leslie was a great host, picking us up at the train station and providing some breakfast groceries. He also offered to drive us around and show us the sights but we already had tours booked.

Immaculate Annex
This is the best HomeAway i’ve ever rented! It seems brand new with every imaginable detail. There’s a beautiful front and back garden with a wooden deck to enjoy the ambiance. Apartment was Extremely clean, king size bed, 2 flat screen TVs, not to mention the host is on site to help with your planning, provide map of the area etc. Leslie also provided breakfast items plus the pantry was stocked. Nairn is a great location to stay in with easy access to the main highway! I hope to visit again and will definitely stay here!

Pleasant stay at the Annex
We were welcomed by Leslie, who proved to be a very welcoming host. The fact that he provided the apartment with basic groceries was very convenient, and helped us start the stay without worries about having to do some shopping first. Leslie gave good tips about touring the neighborhoods , which helped us planning our sightseeing.

Fresh, welcoming, tasteful and comfortable.
Leslie bent over backwards to ensure that our stay was a happy one. We especially appreciated the bikes to explore the waterfront, river and forest. He drove us to Inverness to pick up our hire car. He has detailed route maps and suggestions for places to visit. He even offered to drive us to the Highlands and be our guide. Everything you need will be there or he will try his best to get it for you.
The apartment was very comfortable and the bed brilliant. Thanks Leslie for everything.
