Truly made our trip that much better! The place was spotless and clean. We loved having the balcony that literally put you in the trees. Every morning we would hear monkeys and it was a delight! We went during the raining season and when it rained it was magical to sit on the balcony. There was a plunge pool and one day while sitting in the pool a monkey joined me on the other end! Incredible experience you won’t get elsewhere. We saw parrots and toucans we didn’t see at the national park! Walkable to shopping and restaurants. Would recommend driving to the beach.
The check in process was a bit confusing so I wish we would have just worked it out prior to us leaving the US. The other thing is that it is a guesthouse with pets. We love pets, but just was a shock to us.

Hosts:
Alberto and Milena are there if you need them, but everything we needed was in the house. They have a separate house on the same grounds and in the morning or evening we would run into each other and chat. They have the friendliest and most well-trained dogs we have ever met. They were always so happy to see us when we returned after being out for the day.
The interior space:
Beds are comfortable and clean. I always check rooms for bedbugs, hair etc., not a single issue at this place. Each room has a fan and AC. It was amazing to be able to cool off on hot days, and sleep in a cool room.
The house is very modern. The kitchen has an eating area, stove top to cook if you prefer to not always eat out at restaurants. Clean water. Fridge/freezer worked very well.
There is a sofa to lounge on as well, which is quite comfy and brand new. Bathroom was clean and modern.
All the tour operators know this place and will pick you up outside the gate for day trips. Alberto even arranged the whole Manuel Antonio Park experience for us.
This space is also within 10min walking distance of all the best restaurants and grocery/convenience store.
Lots of wildlife at the back deck: Macaws, Monkeys, Agouti, Parakeets, geckos.
Pool was great in the evening to cool off. Outdoor shower/hose was great to clean off sand.
Big gate for security with room to park inside.

Perfect location. This was very walkable to shops and restaurants and just a short distance from the central tourist area by car. Loved waking to the howler monkeys and seeing monkeys in the back. The pool was also great. This was a great home base for exploring.

We had the most wonderful time during our stay with Alberto and Milena! The house is surrounded by beautiful trees, so there is much wildlife to observe from the balcony. We could hardly pry ourselves away from the house because we were seeing so many animals close-up. We had monkeys come and visit our balcony and peek in our windows daily, a sloth that perched itself 15 feet away from us in a palm tree, and we also saw many birds including a toucan during our stay. The location is perfect, you can walk to many shops, restaurants and markets. Alberto and Milena were so easy to communicate with! They arranged our airport transfer, brought us to the beach, ordered our pizza for us (as our spanish is NOT good), and even drove us to La Fortuna themselves! Don't hesitate to book this property, you will not be disappointed. They made our trip unforgettable, and we would love to stay with them again someday.

We really enjoyed our stay. Very nice, clean, and helpful host. The pool was a great place to chill at the end of the day. We arranged a tour of Manuel Antonio Park. Pick up at the house. Others picked up at other locations. We were dropped right at the park with our guide. Our group was about eight people. The guide was great! Highly recommended. The is a grocery store and restaurants a short walk from the house. Great stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Tabacon. The place was very clean, super comfortable and was well equipped with everything we needed. The location is great, just off the main road but within walking distance of a supermarket and several restaurants. There is secure off street parking. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and live in a separate house on the property in case there are any issues.

Albertos place is in a cozy interior neighborhood that's close to a market and Manuel Antonio. Great alternate to staying in a gated resort. The guest house is facing a ravine on the back side of the property, with a very nice and clean plunge pool, which we made good use of, and secure parking. We did see a bunch of monkeys on a rainy afternoon, and usually heard them on the roof in the morning. The guest house is clean and new and well equipped, with these minor caveats: bathrooom/shower could use a storage shelf. the lighting is a bit harsh with blue-ishg lightbulbs. Also, the key to the gate wasn't working so we needed to coordinate coming and going on a few occassions. Other than that this is a great spot for a unique and local experience. Its a very relaxing yet authentic Tico place and we felt lucky to have stayed here instead of a generic resort. Thanks Alberto!

We had an incredible time in Manuel Antonio and staying on the property of Alberto and Milena made it very special. The house had everything we needed and was very clean, with very comfortable beds. We spent alot of time on the balcony watching monkeys, a macaw and many birds. We loved the pool for cooling off and we adored the dogs that came to visit us, they were a highlight to our stay.

Check in was easy, the host was quick on the emails. There was only 2 of us, so there was a lot of extra space. Washer onsite was handy as we had already been traveling from La Fortuna. We sat on the balcony ever morning with our coffees and watched the monkeys in the trees. We walked to El Avion restaurant for dinner and sunset drinks with a view. Taxis were easy to come by on the main road to get to the National Park and beaches. The host recommended other restaurants that we tried and were so glad we did. There is air conditioning in both bedrooms that we used. But you will be on the balcony enjoying the jungle view more than anything. We would definitely recommend this apartment is lucky enough to visit Manuel Antonio.

So cute with everything we needed..blender and rice cooker! The monkeys came to the balcony and made for a delightful experience. When we had one small problem in the unit, the host was right there and got the problem fixed. Wifi was pretty spotty but so is most of CR! Comfortable beds, chairsand couch!!

Absolutely loved Casa Tabacon. It was very clean, secure and perfectly located. We stayed 4 nights and were able to visit Manuel Antonio Nationale Park, Uvita Waterfall, Nauyaca Waterfall and the surrounding beaches.
Our host Alberto welcomed us and made us feel at home. Also, like others that have stayed here, we were able to see tons of wildlife each day from the balcony.

Wake up to the sounds of monkeys and Macaw's. Very convenient to restaurants, beaches and the National Park. AC in each bedroom is wonderful along with recently added wading pool. Nice neighborhood with off street secured parking. The unit itself backs up to a greenbelt and is nicely furnished. The host is a standup guy and his dogs are the most mellow easy going canines I've met.

We had a wonderful stay at the Casa Tabacon guest house. We loved waking up every morning to the sounds of monkeys and macaws and sitting on the porch watching them playing in the trees. We just spent four nights at this wonderful little VRBO and couldn’t have been happier! Within an hour of arriving, we saw a toucan and a very active sloth directly in front of our balcony. Everything was very clean and comfortable, and the hosts were very helpful and accommodating. We booked our tour to Manuel Antonio National Park through our hosts and had an excellent experience with our guide, Felipe. A bonus, especially for my two kids, was saying hi to the hosts’ very friendly dogs and cat each day. The location was great for easily walking to the grocery store and nearby restaurants. We also greatly enjoyed sipping our coffee on the balcony each morning. A wonderful little place in a beautiful country! I highly recommend!

Casa Tabacon is a wonderful location to see the sites of Quepos and explore Manuel Antonio park. The house is lovely and well equipped. The patio with the jungle view is a great place to eat breakfast and end the day. The monkeys came to play in the trees every morning which was a special treat. We look forward to visiting again.

We can’t say enough good things about our experience here! We had our wedding in Manuel Antonio and chose this as our home base. The owners were beyond friendly and approachable, and the stand-alone house we rented included everything we could need and more for over a week long stay. The location was central and made walking everywhere easy, plus we saw monkeys, macaws and more from our windows. Would highly recommend this spot, and if we come back we hope to stay here again.

Excellent location, great hosts!
I booked this property as part of a 2+ week Costa Rica vacation and wish we were here the entire time and not just eight days! The location is excellent, close to bus stops, grocery store, local restaurants, and a nice jaunt for exercise to the beaches. The property is not fancy but incredible! Clean, comfortable, and right on the monkey expressway. Every morning we sat on the deck watching capuchins and squirrel monkeys make their way over, below and across our place and enjoyed cocktails in the evening as they made their way back. Red scarlet macaws, toucans, even a sloth with her baby were all in close proximity, it was like being in our own nature preserve! Alberto and Melina were gracious, accommodating, and provided everything we needed. There is a washer that came in handy and the kitchen has the basics for meal preparation. Comfortably sleeps and accommodates four people in the two queen bedrooms. This is beyond the five stars we can give it! We are already planning a return visit with our young grandson.

We loved our stay. The property is immaculate. Sitting on the porch you see monkeys everyday, lots of birds, and beautiful greenery. I would take my coffee there every morning and end my day in the rocking chair. I highly recommend taking the Manuel Antonio tour offered by the host with Filipe. It was wonderful!

Elegant Treehouse with animal shows!
My family and I have stayed at many VRBOs, but this house was by far one of our favorites! Situated among trees, we felt like we were living in a tropical jungle, yet enjoyed all the comforts of a beautiful house. Our hosts were absolutely wonderful; we could not have had a better experience here, and hope to come back! Such a value, conveniently located, safe, and beautiful - this is a true treasure. My favorite spot was on the balcony listening to the sounds of nature and watching the monkeys and sloths just meters away.

Pero, al mismo tiempo, el interior es como una casa moderna y confortable. Es lo mejor de los mundos y cada aspecto es perfecto: los dueños son tan simpáticos, el barrio es cómodo, y la casa es segura y bonita. Vamos a volver cuando podamos. Pudimos ver monos, perezosas, y otras animales desde las ventanas muchas días ...vimos más animales aquí que en el parque Manuel Antonio. Sin embargo el parque es sublime y vale mucho la pena verlo. Great host, great location
The place was just as it looked in the pictures. The place is surrounded by tropical trees so it is private and feels like it is in the jungle. There were lots of birds around, and there was a sloth in the tree just off our deck for part of our stay. There is a grocery store about 100 meters away which made it easy to get anything we needed. There was also an air conditioner in each bedroom which made it very comfortable for sleeping. I would stay here again next time we are in the area.

This property is a brand new luxurious, beautifully crafted 2 bedroom apartment with air conditioning.The owner spared no expense to make sure that the property would suit everyone’s expectations. It is ultra comfortable in every aspect.We actually had trouble leaving the property for it welcomes you and feels like home. The owners take great pride in making it apparent that the whole unit is thouroughly clean. The balcony is within the jungle, so you will experience seeing most of what Costa Rica’s reknowned Manuel Antonio National reserve has to offer right in this backyard. Besides the utterly beautiful foliage we saw an abundance of monkeys within 2-3 ft from us. Macaws, large squirrel looking creatures and Toucans.The host is extremely gracious and if you have an opportunity you should take one of their tours. For they are certified guides in all aspects of Costa Rica’s wildlife and ecosystems.Hope you are fortunate enough that your dates are available at this property, for you will be planning a return stay before you leave.I should mention that one went to several restaurants and ended up eating at the Morpho restaurant on 3 different days. Casa Tabacon will be our to go Airbnb from now on out. This property is a brand new luxurious, beautifully crafted 2 bedroom apartment with air conditioning.
The owner spared no expense to make sure that the property would suit everyone’s expectations. It is ultra comfortable in every aspect.
We actually had trouble leaving the property for it welcomes you and feels like home. The owners take great pride in making it apparent that the whole unit is thouroughly clean. The balcony is within the jungle, so you will experience seeing most of what Costa Rica’s reknowned Manuel Antonio National reserve has to offer right in this backyard. Besides the utterly beautiful foliage we saw an abundance of monkeys within 2-3 ft from us. Macaws, large squirrel looking creatures and Toucans.
The host is extremely gracious and if you have an opportunity you should take one of their tours. For they are certified guides in all aspects of Costa Rica’s wildlife and ecosystems.

Excellent Stay in ALL Aspects!
As a travel agent myself, I am constantly scrutinizing properties for my clients. I will most definitely send clients here who plan to visit Manuel Antonio National Park and also recommend Felipe for a tour (which was 7am-noon leaving directly from the property so our car was safe and secure while we saw so many things we would have never seen without a guide!). Our group ages 10-48 had an excellent time, slept comfortably, enjoyed watching macaws from the balcony, and just felt completely at ease. The hosts are super friendly, it was comforting having our car parked behind a gate (any time we travel anywhere it is!), and the facilities in the kitchen allowed us to save money with a market at the end of the street to cook our own meals. I appreciate the opportunity to stay here and highly recommend! Thank you - PURA VIDA!!!
