The cottage was gorgeous. It was small, personal and comfy. Everything we needed for our 4 night stay. We explored Lechlade, went to several pubs and ate out, as well as cooked in the cottage. I did lots of sketching, and went fishing with my boys. It was a great short break. Julia's property was perfect.

We loved the week spent at Lechlade and the clean, restful home. Everything we needed was there and it is sweeter than the photos show.

Our second stay here and as great as the first time. Very close to shops and cafes/pubs and even a playground for children.
The cottage is clean and had everything you need, including a beautifully kept garden. Great value for a weekend in the countryside!

We really liked the cottage, it was perfect for us as two friends together. We really appreciated the little extras that were left. It was very quiet although central to Lechlade. Parking was in the street but we found somewhere each day for two cars. Highly recommend this cottage

A tidy and well set out cottage that had everything we needed for a four night stay. Local facilities were great and Julia was a great host.

We hadn’t come far, just from Oxfordshire but we wanted a short break which didn’t require hours of driving. Lechlade didn’t disappoint! A charming olde-worlde cottage but with all the modern amenities you could want. We appreciated the log burner as it is February. We did some fabulous walks with our little dog, including one to Kelmscott along the meandering River Thames. We ate at the New Wave fish restaurant on Saturday and highly recommend it, particularly if you’re a fish lover! Julia was helpful and swift to reply to one or two questions we had. The shower attachment over the bath didn’t bother us as we’re happy to have baths. We would love to return one day!

An utterly charming and well equipped little cottage in a great location. The weather was atrocious (wet and windy) during our stay but we felt so cosy and warm, with the log burner and our glasses of wine that we didn't miss going out and had a lovely post Christmas chilled stay. There is plenty on your doorstep - good pubs, 2 supermarkets, a great local butchers / deli and coffee shop. We enjoyed a walk to The Trout for a yummy lunch but we did venture further afield to Blenheim for the fabulous Christmas lights. Communication with Julia was seamless, with good local recommendations and the welcome bottle of prosecco and biscuits was so thoughtful and enjoyed. Highly recommend.

We fell in love with the cottage immediately. It was just as pictured, but somehow more lovely and charming in person!! Julia was so proactive and kind. Parking on the main street was very easy and Lechlade was a fantastic central spot for exploring the Cotswolds. We hope we can visit again soon!!

This property was comfortable for the 2 of us. We stayed in the area to visit family and had a nice week visiting different villages in the Cotswold. It was very quiet and peaceful. Parking on the street, sometimes needing to walk a bit but always found a spot. The cottage is old and quaint but has many upgrades to suit travelers. We were able to sit outside with a beverage and play cards. Very nice garden area! Don’t forget to say hi to Hector, the neighbors dog!

The cottage was a lovely place to stay for the week. The kids enjoyed having their own room with separate beds. The cozy garden was just what we needed after the long trip across the pond.
It is well located, within a 3-5 minute walk of grocers, butchers, and pubs. Take a 15 minute stroll down to the Trout Inn if you get a chance, it sits right on the Thames and the staff is very friendly.

A quaint cottage beautifully presented warm cottage .Had everything you need for a short stay and within walking distance of several places to eat. Parking on Sherborne Place difficult but did manage to find somewhere close by each night.
Only con is the lack of a proper shower only a hand held one attached to the taps which without a curtain or glass screen goes everywhere!

We had a wonderful week stay in Lechlade. The cottage is very comfy and has all the facilities we needed. We loved the fact the cottage hasn't been "white washed and chromed" and still retains a lot of the charm of its original features making it a very cosy stay, whilst still having the mod-cons people like these days such as dishwasher, microwave, etc. The owner was very kind and attentive to our queries. We will definitely be recommending the cottage to our family.

This cottage is in a great location and a short walk to everything in the village. There is enough space for a family of four. Garden out back is a bonus. The only negative for me was lack of a proper shower (there is a hand shower in the bath but it is not wall mounted). Overall, great choice for a short stay.

Lovely home from home
My husband and I greatly enjoyed our time in Julia’s characterful cottage. It is located in a charming, quiet neighborhood within short walking distance of scenic countryside, grocery markets, shops, excellent restaurants and welcoming pubs. The cottage was supplied with everything we needed for comfort. Julia kindly left items to give us an especially warm welcome. Communication was friendly, timely, and clear. We would love to return.

Great spot
So close to the centre of town but still private and quiet, Julia's place was a lovely base for walking parts of the Thames path. The garden at the rear was perfect for eating breakfast and having all the amenities was so useful.

Beautiful cosy cottage in the quiet countryside. Perfectly located in the town with great access to the rest of the cotswolds.

Comfortable cottage and good location
A compact comfortable cottage with a lovely secluded garden. The Prosecco and chocolates were a great welcoming gift. The shops were really close to walk to and the Londis and local butcher had all we needed. Although we could not always park opposite the lane for the cottage we always found a space in the road. A good location for visiting the surrounding villages - in particular we loved the Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens.

Wonderful stay
We had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous little cottage. The cottage was spotless, quiet, comfortable beds and had absolutely everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The owner Julia was extremely helpful and gave us great recommendations of restaurants. On our arrival there was a lovely surprise of a bottle of Prosecco and local fudge from Julia. We would definitely stay here again and I would highly recommend this property. Thank you so much Julia for a lovely welcome and for your wonderful recommendations .

Great Stay
Well situated cottage within a lovely little town. Rooms were very clean and had all amenities that me and my partner required. Would stay again as in a great location to visit many of the other towns/villages in the cotswolds. Thank you Julia.

Lovely cottage
We had an excellent 3 night stay at the cottage. It is cosy inside and has a lovely back garden for relaxing in the sun.
The location is great, right in the middle of the village. Plenty of pubs and a couple of restaurants within walking distance along with a child's play park which our daughter loved.
Would definitely like to stay again!

Perfect Cotswolds break
We had such a lovely time staying at the cottage, the wine and chocs was a great surprise, everything you need is in the cottage and the village is a 2 minute walk away with some lovely pubs, deli and shops.

Great place to stay
Property is lovely and the only two reasons I gave it 4 stars was the garden needed some attention as hedges were too overgrown to walk down path and the other was the neighbour putting the barking dog out at 10pm every night.

Lovely catch up with family in beautiful cottage
Lovely little cottage, Julia was an absolutely excellent host we were really welcomed, there was a lot of goodies she left for us including wine, biscuits and all essentials there tea, coffee and we loved her cottage, easy to find and get in, all amenities including dishwasher and washing machine Julia even left us tablets and washing up liquid for all machines. Nice size room one with a large double the other had 2 single, plenty of room to store clothes, kitchen very well equipped, there was an open fire with logs provided, wifi signal was very good my daughters and I had to work for part of our stay and had no problem, little high street with small supermarket. We can't wait to visit again, in fact planning to book now!

Gorgeous bolt hole
We stayed here wanting a place in a quiet town just for a change of scene during lockdown. The cottage was perfect and having the garden was an added bonus, given the lovely weather we enjoyed. As others have remarked, the beds are incredibly comfortable and the bedding top quality. Feather duvets were a hit all round. Lovely touches like the wine, chocolates and biscuits on arrival (and the bottle of hand sanitiser) were much appreciated. Make sure you visit Fairford whilst staying in Lechlade and, if you have kids, download treasure trails for both Lechlade and Fairford - both were really good. We will be back!

A perfect bolt-hole in the Cotswolds
We stayed at the cottage with our 2 Labradors this weekend. Such a character filled, authentic little gem! Literally minutes away from a selection of lovely shops, cafes and restaurants but so incredibly peaceful, we could've been in the middle of the countryside! The beds are super comfy and the linen and towels luxurious. To say the local area was wet is an understatement but we found some wonderful walks close-by and plenty of water to dunk the muddy dogs! This place does exactly what it says on the tin. The cottage is clean, warm, cosy and comfortable. Park your car and leave it if you wish to. It's all there for you to discover and go find The Christmas Shop! Amazing. Thank you Julia, we had a really fabulous few days.
