VISIT ENGLAND GOLD AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE
Awarded the highest accolade of 5 star, Gold Award by VisitEngland, Teglios is a stunning duplex apartment occupying the upper two floors of a 3-storey 19th Century Fish Palace situated on the banks of the Looe River. The property is wonderfully spacious (circa 3000 square feet), full of character and has the loveliest views of Looe River and the harbour from all the principal rooms.
On entering the property there are stairs to the first floor landing. This is spacious, floored throughout in oak and gives access to:
Master bedroom, a very large dual-aspect room furnished with a super-king size double bed from which you can watch the boats glide up and down Looe river. Flat screen TV with Sky mini box. Door to: en suite bathroom, which enjoys a stunning Jacuzzi spa bath, supersized rainfull shower wash hand basin with vanity unit below and WC.
Also accessed on the same floor are:
Gullys bedroom: a spacious and light dual-aspect bedroom overlooking Looe river with a king size bed. This bedroom enjoys a fabulous shower room with an oversized rainfull shower, wash hand basin and WC.
Mackerel bedroom: made far more spacious for 2019, this attractive bedroom overlooks the Looe River from a luxurious super-king size bed.
Dark lane bedroom: the smallest bedroom, this has a standard double bed.
Guest shower room with oversized rainful shower, wash hand basin and WC serving Mackerel and Dark Lane bedrooms.
All bedrooms have ample storage, sumptuous carpets and luxury designer bed linen. All first floor bathrooms have heated towels rails, illuminated mirrors and luxury glass-enclosed oversized showers with rainfull and hand-held shower heads.
Stairs lead to the upper floor landing giving access to:
Top shower room with shower enclosure, wash hand basin with vanity unit below and WC.
Living area: this is a vast and stunning open-plan room (40ft x 30ft), floored in solid oak and with two sets of double doors opening on to Juliet balconies overlooking Looe River and the harbour. The ceiling is vaulted with extensive exposed beams and the furnishings are a happy blend of the modern and traditional including high quality burgundy leather sofas and armchairs, antique furniture and, in common with the other rooms, attractive fabrics. There is a regulation size slate-bed pool table, table football table, 48" flat screen smart TV with Sony sound bar and sub woofer, full Sky TV package including sports, cinema and kids, a DVD player, unlimited fibre speed WiFi and an Alexa Speaker so the whole family are sure to be kept entertained whatever the weather! There are two occasional single put-up beds as needed, one can fit in two of the bedrooms to make a twin/triple room or they can be used in the upstairs living space.
The dining area has a very large antique mahogany dining table just perfect for entertaining and the kitchen area, which is open plan to this room, is finished in a modern "Shaker" style, fully fitted with halogen hob, electric oven, large American style fridge freezer with wine cooler, ice maker and cold water dispenser, "Nespresso" coffee machine, dishwasher and microwave. The kitchen is very well equipped for cooks and has everything needed to keep guests happy. Off the kitchen is a new laundry room and larder store. This is equipped with a washing machine and tumble dryer, ironing board, clothes dryer and steam iron.
The location is superb with the main sandy beach of Looe only a minutes stroll away as are a wide selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. The busy harbour with its constant flow of fishing and pleasure craft is a delightful prospect both by day and night. The accommodation will be appreciated by those wishing to be at the heart of the old town with all that it has to offer immediately to hand.
Teglios welcomes up to two well-behaved dogs but please note there is no outside space and the main beach is not dog friendly. The Wooldown is a popular dog walking spot which is a 5-10 minute walk up the hill.
There is a reserved parking space in a locked car park just a short distance away at an additional cost of £50 per week. The parking space is suitable for a small to medium sized car.
There is a large public car park at the MIllpool. Please see the facilities tab for further details and accessibility.

Right by the water - so exciting!
Our teenage children loved Teglios with its spacious living area at the top and hotel style bedroom underneath.
The pool table was a big hit, we all had to play after supper every night!
I just loved looking out of the windows at the passers by, watching the boats coming up and down the estuary and the gulls adventures.
Great fish and chips, fab pasties and yummy ice creams. Some interesting shops dotted amongst the charming old fishing streets by the beach.
Perfect!

Christmas 2019
A perfect gift for all the family - A property with all the amenities to cook a Christmas dinner for 8 people and enough space and activities to ensure we didn't need to leave the building. We would definitely recommend and use again. Thank you.

Fantastic central location.
Superb location overlooking the estuary. Beatifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Everything you need is supplied and if there is anything else the shops are on your doorstep.
The parking space is essential as all the spaces in town are allocated and the car park as you enter town is always very busy. We had a brilliant stay and would highly recommend it!
