We’ve traveled to Amsterdam a dozen times, but this is the first for scoring a place on the water! Outstanding. Even in December, we sat on the stern of the boat every night. Location is perfect.

We loved the houseboat we rented. The experience was unique and the location was perfect for us. We were close to Anne Frank House, shopping, and restaurants. Our host was amazing. We loved this. The houseboat is very well equipped and comfortable and the hosts left vases of daffodils, a huge fruit bowl (the ducks like grapes and pears, it seems) and said we should help ourselves to anything else. I can't imagine a better place to stay in Amsterdam

We were received with a plate full of fruit, flowers, and a big smile! Everything you possibly need you ca find. We will come back for sure!

First time in Amsterdam ... What a great way to experience the the city that evolves around it's canals! Roomy, clean, very welcoming, great location - close to many attractions, stores, pubs and restaurants. Add to this the experience of life on the canal: boats passing by, people waving, ducks and swans rushing over whenever you step outside to the balcony, and the relaxed morning coffee and evening wine on the balcony. Who wouldn't enjoy it? We had a great time!! The owner, Fake, was very responsive. We recommend this rental property and would stay here again.

We had a wonderful experience at this Air B&B Fake was there to meet us and also saw us off 3 days later. Beautifully located in downtown Amsterdam close to grocery stores and restaurants not to mention many attractions Relaxing experience sitting comfortably on his back deck of the boat watching the rest of Amsterdam float past us. We were very pleased and highly recommend this as a unique way to spend time in Amsterdam.

The waiting flowers and the big fruit bowl were icing on a wonderful cake. It is just as advertised in the best neighborhood with cafes jammed with beautiful people. The sunny porch on the canal for morning coffee and evening wine while watching the boaters cruise by. A great place to relax between the hours of walking through a few city. Fake was friendly and seemed to really care about our experience. I hope to get back soon.

This is the way to live while in Amsterdam, to sit at the back of the boat while other boats are passing is very nice. The boat is cosy inside and you also get to use the owners vinyl record player, which is a bit of responsabillity. But feels like a warm welcome. We really recommend to spend some time on this boat

This was one of the coolest places we’ve ever stayed in. Short walk to the Center of the City and many of the tourist spots. Super nice host and a great experience ! Would come back any time !!

I throughly enjoyed my stay and the boat was clean and well supplied. The location was perfect and just a short walk to most anything. The boat is in a popular area with lots to do and watch. If you are looking for total peace and quite, you may not like this location. I throughly enjoyed the sounds of the neighborhood so for me it was perfect. Fake was very helpful and took a lot of pride in the upkeep of the boat. Fake was very responsive to my questions and or needs. I can highly recommend this location.

Fake was a wonderful host—exceeding our expectations w his thoughtful accommodations. The location and views made our stay in Amsterdam ideal—a great way to experience this magnificent city!

This houseboat has everything you want or need. Located in an area that is at once quiet and also humming with activity, you have cafes, pubs and restaurants minutes away from the door. But you may want to stay in and cook a meal after visiting the many nearby grocery stores, it is fully equipped for meals at home. Pick up a bottle of wine, cheese and bread and watch the boats go by on the back deck. The boat was clean and cozy, the bed super comfy. We really enjoyed our time on this houseboat and hope to return one day.

Had to wait 6 hours to get in. Owner wasn't very nice with his own communication breakdown with his own reservation dates. At the end of my stay we all had a nice time. Concidering this was my fist experience with VRBO. Not sure I would try it again.

Loved sitting out on the boat deck, sipping wine & eating cheese. Tourists passing by on canal cruises snapped our photo thinking we were an example of how locals spend their time. We wish!! The central location is perfect for popping in and out during a busy day of sightseeing. Catch your breath, have a bite to eat and off you go. One suggestion would be to install a simple handrail making getting on and off the boat easier.

This was our second stay at the houseboat, we absolutely love the place. The location is perfect for exploring the city and it’s wonderful neighborhoods. Many cafes and shopping close by. And the bells of the Westerkerk make the stay magical. Look forward to our next visit!

Without a doubt staying on this charming, quirky and beautiful houseboat enhanced our trip to Amsterdam 100%. We felt like locals waving to all the tourists in the tour boats floating by as we sat drinking coffee ( or wine! ) at night. The owner Fake, is thoroughly charming and very helpful with lots of suggestions and ideas for places to go. We so appreciated the bottle of wine and the beers in the fridge. The fresh tulips were a lovely touch too!! The houseboat itself is spotless and has absolutely everything you would expect in a well equipped kitchen ( great espresso machine!) To be honest we didn't cook at all as we ate out at the local restaurants/Bistros or just had wine and cheese. There was lashings of hot water and it was toasty warm inside. This was a big concern of my husbands as it was January. But no worries on this score!! It really does check all the boxes. The bed is comfortable, lovely duvets and gently rocking occasionally at night meant we slept like a log. My one piece of advice would be don't spend too much time going too far at night. This area is full of great bars and restaurants within minutes and don't take the Canal tour. You have your very own prime spot to watch it all. This is one vacation spot we intend to return too soon.

Fake the owner of the boat is very hospitable, friendly & welcoming. His houseboat is very clean and comfortable and in an excellent location. The Jordaan is such a beautiful area. We just like to sit on the boat terrace and watch the world go by. Lots of lovely restaurants close by. We are so looking forward to our next stay here!

We have just returned from our first visit to Amsterdam. We loved the city and found that staying on Fake's lovely houseboat really added to our overall experience. It was so lovely to stay right on the canal, in a very convenient location for the multitude of places to visit- especially the Ann Frank House, which should be a 'must visit' place for everyone! Amazing little boat sitting on a beautiful canal in the heart of Amsterdam. Wish I had more time to just sit on the deck listening to the awesome vinyl collection watching the canal boats go by, but the city is right there waiting to be explored. The houseboat was exactly as advertised yet more adorable and comfortable than we had imagined. In the best area of the city to get to the sights - the Anne Frank House is down the street. In all our travels we've never had a more gracious host and inn-keeper than Fake - he went above and beyond. We left feeling we were saying goodby to a friend. We're already telling people to look into staying at his place when they go to Amsterdam. We definitely intend to do that for sure.
