Nothing. Everything surpassed my expectations

Location was good. Beds were comfy and private (had a curtain that made it feel more comfortable). Breakfast was good, selection of bread, cereal, porridge and fruit.

Some of the staff seemed a bit grumpy, and not that helpful. The shared bathroom was disgusting (granted it’s up the guest to keep it clean but maybe could do with staff checking it).

Location and price! Went there for a concert at Roger Centre. It took us 5 minutes to walk back to the room after the concert ended. It's so affordable considering that we're in downtown Toronto.

The AC wasn't working that well!

Amazing location in Downtown Toronto. The receptionist was extremely friendly and helped me with my bags, which was very unexpected! The kitchen was spacious and clean. The common area looked really nice. There is also free breakfast, though I checked out very early in the morning so didn't get to see what it was like. The room is very spacious and I appreciated having an ensuite bathroom. Having a curtain for each bed was great. Overall I would highly recommend this hostel!

The Clarence Park is very well located! It's very close to the CN tower & The Rogers Centre. We could even see the tower from our room. The host was very kind and spoke French! Breakfast was available between 8-10 am, which I didn't know prior and I was happy that it was included in the cost of our room. The bed was very comfortable, maybe a bit low on the floor, but overall it was great! Parking was behind the hostel and 15$ for a 1 night stay, many places were available. We had a great time and I would totally recommend The Clarence Park to people who would love to visit Toronto!

There was no soap or shampoo in the shower, only hand soap in the bathroom. We would have loved to have more towels (we only had 2 of them). We could also hear the others even with the door closed.

Excellent location, in older building with lots of character, facing a small park. The private double room is quite spacious and even has a little balcony (no view though). Clean and comfortable.

Given that the private en-suite room is in another building (2 doors down) than the main hostel building where the kitchen is, it would have been nice to have a hot water kettle and a couple of cups in the room for coffee/tea. As it is, to make a cup of tea, you have to get dressed and go outside round to the main building (not a fun thing to do in February!).

I was able to get a room on very short notice - my flight got cancelled and I was stranded in Toronto.
