The Ever Green Mount has beautiful rooms with a private balcony overlooking the views of the spectacular jungle landscape including a waterfall . We sat enjoying the calm and listening to the sounds of birds and cascading water. The room was large, clean and cool. The bathroom was also large and very clean. The breakfast was varied with lots of choices each morning, all delicious. The host family are very friendly and extremely helpful. They arranged transport for us to and from the property and they gave us lifts locally although it’s easy to walk into Ella. They have a brochure of tours which was very informative and arranged a cooking class for us which we really enjoyed. Ella town strip is quite busy so it was perfect to stay somewhere so tranquil and just dip in and out as we wanted.

diese unterkunft ist ein traum, schon alleine der blick aus dem bett einfach nur wow. diese unterkunft war einfach highlight unserer reise. wir wollten etwas einfaches, aber dennoch sollte es schön sein und wir sind mehr als zufrieden gewesen mit unserer wahl. die eigentümer super nette und liebe menschen. das frühstück wurde immer auf den eigenen balkon gebracht, was sehr toll war. man muss bedenken, dass man mit auto etwas probleme bekommen könnte hoch zukommen, daher holt der host einen mit seinem tuk tuk von der hauptstrasse ab. wir waren abends immer in der stadt was essen und trinken, dann haben wir den host per whatsapp angeschrieben und der holte uns immer ab und brachte uns in die unterkunft zurück. die unterkunft hat nen ganz ganz tollen view man sieht auch den wasserfall vom balkon. wenn ella dann immer wieder diese unterkunft. meine frau wollte einfach ruhe haben und die hat sie dort bekommen. einen riesen dank an die familie für ihre herzlichkeit und gastfreundlichkeit :)

Incredible views, great prices, and extremely nice hosts even collected us from the train station free of charge. We would definitely stay again .

Wifi was occasionally down and the water pressure for the shower was limited, but this really didn't change our experience and we loved our stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Ever Green Mount. The view you will see on the photos is actually the view from your private balcony. Amazing! 100% recommended!

The owners were lovely and made us a massive breakfast every morning which we enjoyed on the balcony over looking the hills and the wildlife in it. They even kindly made us a takeaway breakfast because we were catching an early train and they dropped us off at the station. The room was a good size, clean and comfortable. Short walk into Ella and the owners were very helpful with any queries we had, including taking us to the start of the ella rock walk.

Only thing I can think is the WiFi wasn't great but you can go into town and get WiFi at the restaurants if you need it.

Super beautiful view, the lady who owns the place is super gentle and kind, breakfast is nice, room was very clean. Big recommend when in Ella.

Highly recommend. Very clean, cozy, spacious room with great mountain view. And the host couple is very generous and helpful. They're also quite experienced dealing with all kinds of requests from tuktuk pickup to tour recommendation. We need a taxi from Ella to Matara, and they find us one with very good driver and reasonable price.

The room offered such a beautiful view and was really spacious. Also, the property only has two rooms which offers a lot of privacy. The breakfast was served on our terrace and it was just delicious!

Ashwani is so nice!!!! The best host I have met on this trip. He is a tuk-tuk driver, and he drove me to 9 arch bridge and little Adam's peak at an extremely cheap price. I end up giving him more than that. The host family give me black pork curry for dinner. That is the first time I tried black pork curry. The taste is so good. I went to Horton's plain the next morning at 6 am. While their breakfast start later. Ashwani's wife prepared sandwiches and fruit so I can eat breakfast on the train to Ohiya. After that, I come from Horton's plain. He let me take a shower at the hostel next door even though I checked out already. The sunrise is awesome!!!!!

The perfect accommodation when you go to Ella. The view from the balkony and the room is stunning. They serve a very good breakfast and you'll enjoy it with this amazing view. The owners are super friendly and helped us with everything (tips for sightseeing, informations about the railway and scooter rental). You can also see monkeys direct at the accommodation. We definitely would stay here again when we're in Ella. High recommended.

The view is stunning, it’s just 15 minutes walk to downtown Ella and the lady that runs the place is adorable and extremely kind. Best value for money we had in Sri Lanka :)

Ever Green Mount is by far the best place we've stayed during the last four weeks in Sri Lanka. We spent a week there, and it was fabulous. The room was spacious and beautifully clean, with a new mosquito net. The view, of course, is gorgeous. Looking from our balcony, we really felt we were in the jungle itself, with the lovely sounds of exotic birdsong and insects, squirrels running up and down the trees, and we often saw an eagle flying high in the sky. And yet we somehow had no problem with insects - perfect! But perhaps the best thing about this amazing family guesthouse is the owners, who live in the house. Both Anousha and Inoka are lovely, kind, helpful and very polite people. They were always available to advise or help with anything. They provided a fantastic and very large breakfast every day, with many different dishes such as pancakes with coconut, coconut rotis, eggs, water-melon, bananas and a different freshly-squeezed juice every day, as well as rice and curry when we requested it. We ate lunch in the house several times too, which was always delicious and very reasonably priced. Also, Anousha took us out on half-day trips in his tuk-tuk several times, and was always great company, giving useful information about the places we visited, and charged us a very fair price at the end. After the first trip, we never bothered to ask or negotiate the price in advance, as we knew he was totally honest and fair, so there was no need. This is something rare and special. Thank you very much, Inoka and Anousha - we wish you well, and hope to come again!

A wonderful place run by a very friendly young family. Amazing breakfasts with an even better view into the far & wide mountain landscape. Ella is just a short 10 minute walk away and yet you feel like you're very remote. It's very quiet and calm. The room has everything u might need (Tea kettle, fridge, a sofa, hot shower). If you don't want to eat dinner in the city the hosts can arrange dinner on the balcony so you can enjoy the view. The food was amazing every time. We stayed here for almost 2 months and enjoyed every minute of it. If you like being close to the center while still having some peace & quiet this is exactly what you're looking for!
