Property was awesome, Stratton open space right out the back door, deer in the yard everyday and multiple times a day. House was clean and comfortable and contact available and responsive.

Our stay was amazing. The cleanliness was never an issue & everything worked great! We loved sitting out on the patio when we were relaxing because it was quiet and peaceful. If you’re looking to hike or ride a bike, the trails located behind the house were perfect and easily accessible. We also got to see several deer passing through. We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed during 4th of July and was very comfortable. Saw deer each morning and close to a trail to do early morning hikes. It's right next to the mountain that is very dear to me and my family. We visit each year for Labor Day but this year were came early to visit family.
Neighborhood is quite and cute. Love the area.
The house had AC which is a must for us TX people LOL.
Steve the property manager was helpful as well when needed.
Will be looking for this place again on our next visit to CO.

Steve was the best host! Answered any questions that I had. The house “cabin” was very clean and stocked with everything you would need besides food and drinks. It’s location is in a great place for you to go and do just about anything in the area. You can literally go hike the Open Space by walking out of the back door. Drive down the road to I believe Cheyenne Mt. There were twin fawns and their momma who were there when we pulled up and visited often during our stay along with rabbits. The complaint’s I have and it’s really not about the cabin, is the roadway outside is very busy and kinda loud at times. Someone around there close also had a dog that barked for the nights that we stayed and it went on for hours. I am not sure if it’s someone who lives there or if it was someone renting for the weekend. The AC units kept the bedroom and living room very cold but the downstairs did get a tad bit warm. The bed downstairs was a little firmer than we liked but we made due. Overall it was a great stay.

Steve was a great host. The property was clean, bed comfortable, and water pressure great. It is not fancy but it is everything you will need for a long weekend or entire week seeing Colorado Springs and exploring the surrounding area.

The house was a perfect size and such a quiet neighborhood. It was our base location while we exploded Colorado and it was amazing. We spent time after our days sitting on the porch and enjoyed the stars and even the nature trails behind the home.
Most definitely a place we will be coming back and Steve is a great host!

This is an older home in a neighborhood that is convenient to absolutely everything in Colorado Springs.
Steve is responsive and very efficient.
Unfortunately we didn’t see any bears however, one morning there were 11 deer in the yard!
Good hiking trails are just outside the backyard. We hiked, ate dinner on the deck and thoroughly enjoyed our time here!

The owner was very helpful and easy to reach. The location was perfect. It’s right next to stratton open fields and right down the road from thw cheyanne mountain hiking trails. Perfect if you’re wanting to hike. But it’s also still in town, so you have everything you need right there.

This property is outstanding. We’re planning on another stay next year. If your family or just you and your better half are looking for a quaint quiet and majestic place to stay Steve’s rental property is the place for you. There’s plenty of room and many things to do. Steve is a great host he gives you privacy if you need anything he’s there to help and gives good suggestions for things to do. Can’t wait till next year to stay at this beautiful place again. Thank you Steve we had amazing vacation and my birthday was great. Thank you you and your family stay blessed and look forward to talking to you next year.

Little house in Co Springs
This little house is in an older populated Co Springs neighborhood but with its own privacy. It is located right beside the Stratton Open Space. Several times deer wandered slowly through the yard. We could walk through the backyard to the Open Space area and take a beautiful evening hike. The house was well equipped, cute, cozy, and charming. Close to Safeway grocery, Wallgreens, and other beautiful hiking areas. We really enjoyed our stay.

Average Stay
This house served its function for what we needed for a short visit. The house itself was ok. It was clean and as stated on the website, the ceilings are low, especially in the downstairs bedroom. Our kids were a little scared sleeping downstairs and found some beetles crawling around at night that we had to remove. While the AC was nice, it was extremely loud and placed right above the bed upstairs. Luckily I had earplugs which helped a little. If you are a light sleeper, good luck with that if you need the AC. Fortunately the last night it rained so we were able to just open the windows. Other than the AC, it was very quiet. The bed upstairs was comfortable. The kids said the downstairs bed was too hard and my daughter ended up sleeping in the couch upstairs. It was good that there was another sitting area downstairs for the kids to hang out as the upstairs wouldn’t be able to accommodate the 4 of us comfortably to hang out and watch TV together. The kitchen was fine but we didn’t end up really cooking any full meals or use the bbq. We pretty much just made breakfast which the kitchen was fine for. I doubt we would stay in this house again next time we come out.

TV has a life of its own and people may need instructions😂, carpet was super soft and shower was excellent. We didn’t cook so can’t comment much on the kitchen, however it had all the supplies we would have needed. It is a little smaller than the pictures but overall cosy and lovely:)

Awesome wildlife and location
We were thrilled to have mule deer visit each evening! They must have felt very safe because they didn’t move when we opened the door !
The location was fabulous for visiting all the Colorado Springs activities we love including Jeep Tour, rafting , cog railway and the Cheyenne Zoo.
Would definitely recommend!

Cabin was very clean. Enjoyed different hiking trails right out our back door. Close to 7 Falls, Old Town, Broadmoor and Pickleball courts. We really enjoyed our 2 weeks and are planning to return next year.

With the mountains and trails just a minutes walk from the back door, we not only enjoyed the hiking and scenery, but also the wildlife such as the family of deer that came around the yard often all week long. We plan on returning next year for a 2022 stay once again and very much look forward to it! We highly recommend this property for anyone looking to get away in Colorado.

This location is conveniently within driving distance of many awesome Colorado Springs spots like Garden of the Gods and the Manitou Incline! Very clean and cozy location, would definitely stay here again in the future.
