The great location on the river and the proximity to the river from the actual hotel. The fact that we were so far forward at the pool felt like you were always part of the activity on the river.

I was not crazy about the breakfast venue in the Krungkrep wing, it felt like it was a lounge they turned into a dining room for breakfast each day. The selection was not as great as the main wing either. And I HATED the new coffee machine, not everyone wants that horrible machine coffee - these machines are best kept at bad airport lounges..........give us the coffee service back.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting on the river. Was perfect for our one night stay visiting a friend who lives in Bangkok. We were able to book a river boat trip right outside the back of the hotel - a trip that allowed us to see so much of this fascinating city. The service was impeccable & our room was immaculately clean. We couldn’t have asked for more & would certainly stay again.

The fact that we didn’t have time to use any of the amazing facilities! Next time, we will stay for longer so that we can.

Excellent location of room (as requested): high floor, quiet area, with beautiful view of the river, especially from balcony. Even a chandelier in the room. Icing on the cake: Fantastic fireworks one night!!! Responsive housekeeping, wonderful in-room dining. Breakfast selection excellent. Just a few steps to main boat pier (both tourist hop on and off and local service) AND skytrain/metro system. Easy access to good local dining besides hotel restaurants as well as money exchange and tuk-tuks. Hotel grounds are stunning, providing beautiful green spaces and a calm environment - a respite from the hustle and bustle of a busy city. Requested early check-in and it was honored without hesitation. Preferred being in the New wing of hotel. Would choose it again.

Die Lage direkt am Fluß und die Citynähe. Das Personal am Frontdesk war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Der Service war unfreundlich in den Restaurants. Im Kungkrep Wing gab es keinen Service, das Frühstücksbüffet sehr gut, das Personal aber nicht gerade freundlich.

Gute Lage, äusserst freundliches Personal, allerdings bei Fragen an personal äusserte sich eine gewisse Unkenntnis betr. das Hotel ( wo ist Spa, wo Health-Club), konnte zweimal nicht beantwortet werden.

Location salle de réunion: En plus d'un service irréprochable au niveau hôtelier, nous avons beaucoup apprécier le professionnalisme de l'hôtel par rapport au service de mise à disposition d’une salle de réunion et d'un service boissons chaudes / froides et petits gâteaux. Le forfait est très peu cher et la qualité de service impeccable. Le service de réservation de ce type de prestation au sein même de l'hôtel est également à l'écoute et proactif.

Das Hotel liegt zentral und direkt am Wasser gegenüber von der großen Icon Mall. In der Lobby gibt es eine schöne Bar und auch musikalische Untermalung von einem Pianospieler und Sänger/in. Aber es war nicht viel los dort. Personal war sehr aufmerksam und nett.

Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen. Die Terrasse liegt zwar gut, ist aber auch nicht mehr auf dem neusten Stand. Das Frühstücksbüffet ist sehr vielfältig aber zu überfüllt, und unentspannt. Der Pool und die Liegen haben den Charme der 70er Jahre.

I’ve been many times during the years in this particular Shangri la, but this time is the last time I will be staying here. We stayed only one night but from the check in to the time we left to the airport, the staff was just plain rude. We tried to book a private boat tour on the river and the conceive suggested that the public tour is more suitable for me. I asked for a late check out as my flight was after midnight and I have been told to pay half the rate of one night for 3 h. More than that, my luggage stayed at the exit of the hotel from the moment of check out till we left the airpot at 10 pm. As much as the location is great, the staff made this stay horrible.

I liked the staff who are very friendly and nice . I like the restaurant for the breakfast time , a lot of variety

The location is little bit far and the surrounding area is not clean

체크인 과정에 살명없이 대기시간이 지속되고 어떤 사과도 없었어요. 크룽텝 윙은 완전비추입니다.

Loved the Shuttle boat over to the shopping centre and also that we could do boat tour from the pier

The room with the view of the river was very comfortable and a great size. The breakfast downstairs was as usual amazing with everyone’s taste catered for. There are great restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, we tried a few and had some great meals.

Breakfast was disorganised there was never anyone to greet or explain , food would be as expected with the staff being unfriendly and unhelpful.

Room was damaged , bathroom would flood and with the shower having mould, totally disappointed in the whole experience

Breakfast menu was so great for my family, and the location of the restaurant was reasonable. All the staffs are very kind, especially reception desk manager was so kind and gentle. Thanks for the staffs.

The water pressure was weak and so was the water flow in hotel shower room and washstand in spite of the powerful flushing toilet, and too small soap size.

I love the wonderful view over Chao Phraya river from my room. Staff are all professional and supportive during my stay.

I hope it would be less cold in my room and the bathroom was brighter

The ShangriLa has been our favourite/preferred Bangkok Hotel for many many years (despite this being our first visit to the city in 8 years)due to its Chao Phraya location, Hotel river boat shuttles, proximity to Skytrain/and Salthorn Pier, the high level of accommodation (having stayed on Horizon Club levels on previous stays) and the excellent staff. We also thoroughly enjoy the breakfast buffet on the riverside terrace - and the diversity of the neighbourhood which, since our last visit, now includes some dining options and little boutiques worth exploring. Our room (on the 20th floor) was very comfortable and extremely quiet (given how full the hotel appeared to be) for our 6 day stay with excellent bathroom and a partial river view. The pool area does provide some quiet corners during the day for reading - or perhaps a poolside massage.

This was our first visit mid year (previous visits have been in December) so perhaps it was time of the year but we found the Hotel very crowded, breakfast buffet a little like a train station and often the reception area full of luggage/people waiting for airport transfers. Of course we understand a busy Hotel but prefer the quieter more sedate ShangriLa of previous stays.

Staff was fantastic - also, what an amazing brunch!

The River of Bangkok is quite polluted 😞. This is of course not the hotel’s fault
