Fantastic personal treatment from all staff. In particular SAM their guest relationship manager is really outstanding. He was constantly looking for opportunities to make our holidays even better. Also their SPA treatments are amazing. Will come back again.

The breakfast wasn’t as good as we’ve had in other five star resorts we’ve stayed at, but we think it’s because we went in the low season and it’s to La Veranda’s credit that they didn’t waste food by offering a buffet.

Breakfast was lovely, and our family greatly appreciated the private beach. All the staff were extremely friendly, and in addition, we really enjoyed the free yoga in the morning! This was a lovely vacation, and we cannot imagine a better place to have stayed in Phu Quoc. It was a dream, such a beautiful property.

Great location, great architecture, comfortable rooms and fabulous staff! We had booked initially for two nights but we we ended up staying for six. We hung out at the beach and the pool a couple of days. The staff would come and leave some refreshments like mango sorbet at our day beds. The meals were really good and it was a great experience to sip on cocktails in the veranda while watching the sunset. There was daily complimentary yoga in the morning and the instructor was very good. All the staff members were very nice and helpful and made our stay comfortable.

Beautiful room with lovely added touches. Wonderful complimentary fruit platter, afternoon teas and wine evening. All staff were exceptional. The pool and view from the beach was great. Food in the bar and restaurant was outstanding.

Mosquitoes in the room whenever the maids cleaned as they left the door open. Bed nets and mozzie zapper were thankfully provided.

Beautiful old colonial style hotel set in immaculately kept gardens. Loads of areas to just sit and relax as well as a lovely swimming pool and beach area.

Not keen on the surroundings outside the hotel grounds, but fine if you just want to spend the whole time at the hotel. Some of the bar and restaurant staff need more training.

The only best location for 5 stars. All others are far away form centre in ugly “only hotels” area. But this place also calm and private.

LOVED MY TIME AT THIS HOTEL! Wonderful resort. I spent Christmas 2022 here and its an experience ill never forget, the staff have a mantra that they like to create a "home away from home" and they definitely did that. Special mention to Sammy and the team who were just incredibly professional, warm and friendly. The team remembered my name throughout my stay, the decor was amazing - lots of Christmas decorations throughout, little gifts for guests. The hotel beach is lovely - you can order drinks and food there. The food at the restaurant is really lovely and caters to dietary requirements, the menu is labelled veggie, gluten free, vegan etc which is quite rare in Vietnam. I stayed in a garden view room, was lovely and located near to reception. Also recommend the spa and yoga. Lovely facility, I did a detox day and the team were great, looked after me, pampered me and made me feel special, it was a Christmas ill never forget.

TV/video service is terrible. Could not get clear reception of world cup matches. No satellite or cable connection, only over the air TV. So, many channels have a poor signal.

From check-in till check out the ALL the staff were fantastic. Very personal attention, nice welcome drink, excellent bed room, Peppertree restaurant was awesome. Had 2 great spa experiences as well.

Unfortunately the adjacent hotels might get a wee bit noisy early evening (this is a typical Vietnamese hotel management problem thinking that loud boom boom music is welcomed by the tourists while sipping a drink near the bar / beach and enjoying the lovely sunset! Maybe mainland Chinese and Russians love it?) but it doesn't detract from our awesome experience in the very lush surroundings.

Romantic, elegant, and tranquil are some words that best describe this gem of a resort. In my line of work, I have had the pleasure of staying at some of the most iconic hotels around the world including the Draycott in London, Four Seasons in Istanbul and the Fairmount in Banff Spring but rarely did felt a need to write any review. La Veranda Resort is not the biggest nor the most modern hotel in Phu Quoc but it does have charms and the classic style of Indochine. The staff were helpful and courteous, and the food was delicious and my room felt cleaner than some of the 5-star hotels I stayed at in France. I cannot recommend this resort highly enough and if you are lucky enough to bump into Eddy who has worked with Madam Catherine whose family originally own this seaside mansion for nearly 40 years, please take the time to ask him to point out the original house with all its beautiful antique tiles and Imagine yourself as a guest of Catherine Deneuve in her movie "Indochine”….I will be back and indeed happy to make this hotel our family's annual getaway destination.

The narrow alleyway makes it hard to walk to the main road. The Hotel could offer a regular shuttle service for guests to go into town.

Very calm and atmospheric place with french indochine charm. The team was amazing and made our stay an unforgetable experience. On my partner's birthday they even surprised him with flowers and a delicious cake. The beach is very clean and the pool area right in the middle of the tropical garden. The breakfast offers a great variety of tasty international and asian food.
