The staff, facilities, pool and food were great. The hotel exceeded our expectations. It is outside the bustle of the city and the views were amazing. We were made feel very welcome and really enjoyed our stay.

Just a note to those without a car, there is no public transport adjacent to the hotel. However this didnt affect our stay, we got taxis to Huddersfield Station ( <£10 - 15min) where there are plenty of transport links directly to airport & Manchester city centre.

Rooms a little tired but this was reflected in the price.

The room was large and comfortable, the pool was clean and tidy, food was good both in the evening and breakfast, staff were very friendly

The location is not picturesque, but it is handy for motorway without being noisy.

The receptionist on duty was highly professional and delightful

doors are all painted WHITE - perhaps doors to stairs could be differentiated? clearly an old hotel - good condition, a little dated.

Very modern, rooms were very big. The pool facilities were amazing and the breakfast buffet on offer was very good.

The bathroom could have been cleaner, i notices mould between tiles in our bedroom bathroom. Nothing great.

Location to M62, easy access to places of interest and the Dales. Food excellent.

Pillows were a little hard, bathroom a bit small. But these are minor quibbles, not complaints.

Everything! I paid just under £100 Inc breakfast, and it was such good value. Breakfast was excellent , as was their dining menu. Catered for vegetarian such as myself. Portions amazing and room service no extra charge. Hotel was really clean and paid attention to details, such as shower tiles and behind toilet. Rooms were large with balconies looking out onto a fabulous garden set back from the road..making the rooms light and so airy..perfect for a peaceful motivating work space. Iron and ironing board, safe, minibar with two pepsi, two chocolate bars, two packets of crisps and two water In with the price! Bathroom had bath and shower. Two full length mirrors. Plenty of space for my morning yoga but also a swimming pool and a really well equipt gym! I was flabbergasted at the amenities at this Holiday Inn. The staff were all friendly , accommodating and professional ... Overall this was the one of the best places I have stayed so far this year for work

Very good restaurant, good location close to the M62. Nice ambiance and well set out.

Long walk to the room as the hotel is on well level. Good for the daily steps but ask to be located nearer the reception area if you have mobility issues.

Perfect location for crematorium and to hold a wake as it’s close to motorway for people to travel but far enough away to not be noisy
