The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The location was within walking distance to town and restaurants.

My bed was a little uncomfortable, bit of a lump in the mattress, other than that relatively comfortable for the duration of my stay.

The room advertised let us to believe the room booked had two separate double bed rooms off of the main living area. There was only one separate room, with a double bedroom in the living area, which was less than idea for our group.

Great location short walk to the downtown lakefront area, excellent pub restaurant part of the building, great home cooked food and good atmosphere.

Lady at reception was very helpful, room was nice. And Jolly Good Fellows next door was a nice place for dinner.

Great view and the spa was good.

It was outdated and needs alot of cosmetic work to make it look nice, could do with new furniture as the existing table etc are damaged, needs paint work done too.

Location and price.

Room didn't have much privacy - people could easily peer in if curtains weren't closed. Carpet needs to be replaced. Rooms and bathroom need a revamp.

Our first room that we booked was lovely. Albeit dated it was clean with a nice kitchenette and good bathroom facilities. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We were forced to stay in Taupo owing to cyclone Gabrielle hitting Auckland and Tina was extremely helpful and accommodating in finding us another room to stay in until we were able to leave. The location is superb with great views and access to the town a few minutes away.

Unfortunately our 2nd room was extremely dated, had no kitchenette to wash cutlery & crockery and was even missing something as simple as side table lamps, so is in serious need of a facelift. The cost of the 2nd room was definitely not value for money.

for the price I’d expect better. wasn’t clean felt gross, you could hear your neighbour fart. didn’t sleep a wink.

Good location

Water in the shower was either really hot or freezing cold. Beds were all super uncomfortable most of us woke up with bad backs. Rips in carpet, really loud. Door didn’t lock properly. Room looked absolutely nothing like the photos. Woke up feeling really itchy. Bathroom was a little dirty.

The views of Lake Taupo and the large family unit with plenty of room.

Although the beds were comfortable, the rest of the furniture was very tired and worn, the seat of the dining room chair fell off when I moved it. The light was broken in the bathroom, flicking on and off. The front glass door had a crack in it. It would be concerning if a toddler banged on this.
