Room was lovely, perfectly clean, some toiletries provided and very spacious. Ensuite bathroom was much larger than expected and again very clean. Every member of staff i spoke to was friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable and slept really well. Room did get quite warm as was above the kitchen but a fan was provided in the room so wasn't an issue at all for me.

Nothing I didn't like, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Very small poor breakfast,the bacon was cremated unable to eat it, toast was hardly toasted. Previous stay the breakfast was lovely.

Very clean, properly dark at night which helped me sleep, comfy bed, friendly staff. Bedroom doors closed with a mortice lock which made me feel safe as I was by myself. The room was warm.

Doors were banging until late into the night which made me jump. It wasn’t a problem for me, but the standard double room is very long and thin and the bed is up against the wall so if there are two of you maybe consider an upgrade which is only a little more.

Convenient location near to where family party was held. Were looking forward to evening meal as our family say the restaurant is good. Helpful receptionist.

Didn't know restaurant shut on sunday evening - meant a drive to nearby town for evening meal - real pain. We were the only guests that evening - agreed no breakfast as it meant the chef coming in on day off just for us (restaurant shut on Monday). My mobility restricted - longish walk on gravel from car park round to back of building - all rooms up a flight of fairly steep stairs - glad there was a handrail. Room a bit cramped. Ceiling light fitting hanging from wires. Care not to let tray overflow when showering.

on arrival the white lion looked charming and we’re greeted warmly by the very competent staff. the bedroom was spotless with a exceptional comfy bed. The Dinner in the restaurant was amazing , delicious and great value for money.

the property was lovely, in a quiet location. the pub and food were fabulous.

perhaps noisy on the nights with live music, but we checked that there wasn’t any planned we stayed.
