Firstly we were given the room with mold smell A/c works loud Breakfast is not tasty but eatable Restaurant food is awful Beach towels are really old Rooms are old, probably need some renovation but it’s not crucial The reception staff are not helpful, perceive your requests like - ok, tell us again tomorrow Finally, my husband has seen cockroach in our bathroom, maybe we’re just lucky🥺 Even glasses in the room were dirty The TV have smart options but they are locked😂 (so no Netflix, Apple TV etc)

The atmosphere is very good. The staff is helpful and caring. The hotel is beautiful. The beach is very beautiful and private. The location is quiet and excellent for those who don't like noise and bustle. Very good breakfast. Finally we had a great time here and we were sorry to leave.

The hotel is old and so is the air conditioning system that smells of mold and there is no feeling of luxury when you enter the room. It was a 5 star hotel that over the years has eroded. The pool and beach area is small. The bar does not have professional people who know how to make cocktails.

We had a wonderful holiday at the Royal Muang Samui Villas. We enjoyed the traditional style of this resort. It provides a tranquil oasis from the bustle of Chaweng, which is only a 10 minute drive away. There are great local restaurants within a short walk from the resort. The staff are always friendly and helpful. There was an excellent range of options for breakfast each day. The gardens are kept in immaculate condition.We loved the facilities of the pool villa.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. There are a few stairs to climb to access the pool villas. We saw this as part of our exercise for the day.

We specifically booked this hotel as it has a jacuzzi and a private outdoor pool but the jacuzzi wasn’t working properly. Also when we were shown to our room we were advised that we shouldn’t use the pool between 5am - 7am and 5pm - 7pm as they have the biggest mosquito’s and they would be out during these times, which really was very disappointing.

The beach is the best on the island and steps from the hotel (sandy, no rocks in the water) and lots of great restaurants within close walking distance. The spa is also great. Housed in a faux cave with a very relaxing vibe and great staff.

We have stayed several times before over the years and most of the current staff are new. They were mostly very nice and and attempted to be helpful but the level of English has definitely declined.

The hotel is old and shabby, the staff are polite but very poorly trained, they seemed to spend.most of there time on there mobile phones, the bar area and pool area is like a builders yard, at best this hotel is a 3 star.

The staff ia really nice and helpful with a very good english. We took the suite with a private pool and garden view. The room is really big, nicely decorated and clean. The beach is beautiful with a direct access to water activities and a cheap and good massage. The breakfast was pretty good.

The water in the shower are not hot enough. The temperature of the private and public pools is really low. The breakfast lacks bread variety and quality. The hotel is pretty big so the room is pretty far from the reception. The hotel also lacks some facilities like pool or a ping pong table. The location of the hotel is not the best in order to get to Chawend and the Fisherman's village you have to ride around 15mins. The private pool view is not that welcoming. Finally the overall design of the hotel feels a little bit too old to my taste.

The room was spacious & very traditional & the resort was lovely, right on the beach, with a lovely pool.

Quite, intimate and rustic hotel with a beautiful pool and beach area. We stayed in a two bedroom family pool villa which was perfect. The location on the beach and outside near other restaurants and bars was convenient with a lot of choice. Also close to some main attractions, we don't want to leave!

Only a few minor niggles. Restaurant choice in hotel is limited and expensive compared to outside. There is a small kitchenette but not enough cutlery or plates for 4 people.

Amazing room with an amazing view. Sitting in your private rooftop pool, in amongst the tree tops watching the various birds, butterflies, and insects. Beautiful place and a very relaxing stay

Nothing, service, room and food were exceptional

This hotel is really not suitable for kids! The room is located on the 3rd floor, no elevator, no TV, The most horrible part is that our 3.5 years old daughter was supposed to sleep in a separate room, were there is a pool in between. It was a matter of safety and we decided to leave before check out.

cleaning service is not good, during a week’s stay they came to clean only twice. too much chlorine in the pool
