That's is very dirty room I think not clean bedroom similar unfortunately I am not sleep Naver going back anymore

Nothing crap place crap atmosphere crap staff poor service poor beds and bedding noisy area old fashion sinks toilet was too low

Fist off door was hard to open room was small and bed was hard and pillows were paper thin I heard boiler room all night I was ment to be there 2 nights but left at 10 15 the respsiion was rubbish all I could hear is doors bang and the smoking area was not light enough I was up at 8 30 am no respsiion I couldn't find anyone so I could get milk or sugar for my room or door to smoking area was locked waste of time I couldn't sleep and waut until I checked out and plus they said that breakfast was available witch it is not

Hotel was OK but needed some work , was good base for what we did , would be better with restaurant up and running.

Could do with tidying up and food available.

The hotel was clean and my bed was very comfortable leading to a good nights sleep. There’s a bar downstairs where you can relax on an evening. Not far from Gateshead and the Metro Centre- there’s a bus a short walking distance away. And finally, the hosts are lovely people, friendly and welcoming.

Nothing - I was happy with the property for what I paid, it more than fulfilled my requirements and I was comfortable and felt looked after.

Staff were friendly

Room was tiny and dirty, tobacco all over window sil, tide mark in the bath and hairs everywhere generally didn't smell nice in there, Room's are in desperate need of a make over, The heating was on and radiator was broke so couldn't turn it off, staff said twice they'd turn it off heating to room and they didn't, was too hot! Shower was a nightmare spent the whole time in there having to constantly adjust the taps to keep it from getting to hot or to cold, drunk old women outside entrance singing and smoking just topped it off we left after 3 hours if veing there. Never again!!!

Prompt reception, despite staff being busy with a bar function.

Little hot water in shower, low water pressure. Addressed by using other showers. There's no-one present overnight, until around 8:30 (weekend). Made it difficult to address shower issue.

I didn't try the breakfast as the hours were too early. The room was phenomenal though. I can't see why the place gets bad reviews.

The pricing was a bit high.

Close to the venue we were using for the weekend and the staff were excellent.

The hotel is very dated, we appreciate its an old building but needs a little updating.

Went there last year for the Northern Soul weekender, 12 minutes walk to the venue, clean tidy room, tea and coffee, 15 minute walk to the metro centre maybe 20,,Book early for August,,

Cheapishly priced.

Had to ring doorbell to get in at night. Shower I room didn't work and was hanging off wall had to go to a shower room next door.

Nice room, comfortable. I liked talking with the staff and having a drink at the bar, all in all a good experience. Thank you Simple Bar food next time please , chips chips chips!

my only issue was i think the shower may need having a look at as it would go too hot and cold randomly while in use. but it also may just be that i dont know how to use it correctly.

The staff were nice. The room was comfortable enough. The karaoke was great fun!

The room whilst comfortable, was nothing like the photos portrayed. We unfortunately didn't find the breakfast that it said was available on the poster in the rooms. Having said that for the price it did the job of keeping us warm and comfortable.
