Bruit toute la soirée car mariage dans l hôtel salle sous la chambre lamentable ! Dîner au restaurant moyen et cher cadre viellot

Booked a family room through booking.com for 2 adults and 2 children. Description below from booking.com:- "Family Room (2 Adults + 2 Children) This family room features one super king- sized bed and two single beds. Each individually designed room has its own distinctive wallpaper, lighting and artwork. All rooms are situated over one upper floor and includes spa toiletries and tea and coffee making facilities" When I arrived at Westport Country Lodge Hotel they clearly saw I had 4 members of my family when they took my money at reception. Opened room to find 1no double bed and 1no Single bed. Went back to reception and explained. Reply from reception was mind blowing. They would get me another bed for £250 euros more. I asked for a refund and they refused. All about the money with this Hotel, even though the receptionist agreed with me about the room I was supposed to get. At to find alternative accommodation. Very disappointed with booking.com as they have washing their hands of the whole thing. They said Hotel didn't want to refund money and that's all they could do. Pathetic experience from Hotel and booking.com from start to finish. Currently with trading standards to get my money back as booking.com failed to fulfil their contract .

Food was excellent, prices spot on, lovely friendly staff. Super scenic views all around hotel.

I didn't like the misinformation Booking. com give, regarding walking to Westport Town being a 20min walk, first off, it's a main road with No footpath, it's to dangerous to walk and it would certainly be more that 20mins, A Taxi is 5min trip for €10 or €12 in.

Mat in shower in bedroom was mouldy

Family room was great. So spacious and tastefully decorated. Lovely big walk in shower and comfortable superking bed. Lovely sunny terrace to the front. Friendly staff.

Breakfast left a lot to be desired. My Husband was happy enough with his but i didn't love mine. The scrambled eggs were dry and the bacon was cruxified. No pastries at 9.30am.
