The hosts, Peter and Sue made us very welcome and have great local knowledge. The lodge is quite small but very well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. The shower had plenty of power and hot water. Having an enclosed meadow on our doorstep was great both for us and our dog. We were able to do some lovely walks from the property. Unfortunately we were only staying for 3 nights and didn't get chance to use the summerhouse and bbq facilities... Next time!

Nice and peaceful location and easy access to many places of interest within a short drive. Plenty of wildlife too.

To be honest We can’t think of anything I’d want changed

Lovely views, very quit. We enjoyed BBQ facilities as we love BBQ. Easy to get to the property. The owner's were very nice friendly, open for a chat all the time even they were busy around the property, and helpful. Easy to get to the nearest shop and petrol station, just 13 minutes driving. Lovely walks around the property, lots of woods to go to and surroundings to be explored. The Lodge was very clean and cosy. We've been waited with a bottle of wine and refreshments in the fridge, followed by milk and eggs. We loved every minute and we can't wait to get back.

If you plan to stay longer then 4 nights as we did the only inconvenience is you don't have a washing machine as the lodge is small and doesn't have enough room for oven, washing machine and dishwasher. But I think if you will ask the owner's for help I am definitely convinced they will be happy to help you out. We had lots of food brought with us and they offered to take some in their fridge or frezzer. So it will be a solution for everything.
