We loved the breakfast! It was one of the best breakfasts we ever enjoyed in our travels. The location is right on the tram's path and very close to the city center. Ollie and the staff are amazing, and made the whole stay wonderful. We will come back with a big smile 😁

La chambre a été refaite récemment. Elle est spacieuse, douillette, confortable calme. Un vrai refuge contre le climat humide de l'Écosse. L'accueil d'Ollie et Mirella est irréprochable. Toujours partant pour échanger et donner de bons conseils touristiques. Le petit déjeuner est une merveille, copieux, servi à l'assiette et de grande qualité !

Quelques petits détails à revoir dans les équipements mais rien de grave : un tablette dans le placard qui ne tient pas, la porte de la douche qui ne ferme pas très bien, l'abattant des WC un peu branlant.

Ollie and the staff were great. They prepared a wonderful breakfast and took time to talk to us every day and give us suggestions on touring around. The location was perfect and easy walking distance to Royal Mile and other sites.

The room was a bit too small and warm. Ollie provided a fan which helped cool off the room somewhat.

Great place and location

Das Frühstück ist sensationell. Oatmeal mit gutem Honig und Whisky, dann eine Auswahl verschiedener warmer/kalter Optionen und dazu Toast. Der Orangensaft war, soweit wir beurteilen konnten, frisch gepresst. Der Gastgeber und das Personal waren alle sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Unterkunft liegt etwa 200m von der nächsten Bus-/Strassenbahnhaltestelle entfernt. Zum Laufen sind es bis zum Zentrum etwa 15 min, in Richtung Hafen etwa 30.

Das Zimmer 1 ist sehr klein und liegt an der Strasse. Das Fenster liess sich zum Lüften nicht öffnen. Wenn Gäste nachts zurück kommen, hört man das sehr gut, was den Schlaf etwas stört.

Super friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were amazing, cooked to perfection and very generous portions.

A szálláshely közvetlenül a villamos megálló mellett illetve busz megálló közelében van. A közlekedés kiváló, percek alatt az óvárosi központban lehet lenni. Gyalogosan is igen gyorsan megközelíthető a központ. Nagyon jó infrastruktúra két élelmiszerbolt és rengeteg étterem a közvetlen közelben. A szállás makulátlanul tiszta, nagyon szép tágas, kényelmes szoba, kényelmes ággyal, tökéletesen felszerelve (diffúzoros hajszárító, törülköző, tisztálkodó szerek, tv stb). A személyzet végtelenül segítőkész és barátságos, jobbat el sem lehetne képzelni. A reggeli pedig eszméletlenül finom nagyon bőség és nagy a választék. Egy szóval tökéletes!

Jeg blev aldrig gode venner med bruseren på badeværelset. Vandet var enten KOGENDE eller iskoldt.

Wonderful location, close to tram and easy walking distance to train station, coach terminal and a selection of good pubs and great restaurants. Although situated just off a main road, the room was quiet, and the area very safe for walking in the late evening. Room was clean, with a comfortable double bed and an en-suite shower. The staff were very friendly, helpul and efficient. Excellent cooked to order breakfast

The bedroom was small and the en suite likewise. Very little room to unpack, and no space in the bathroom to keep toiletries

Everything was great! The host was very nice and helpful. The room was clean, with comfortable beds. Breakfast was excellent, with many options to choose from. I especially liked the porridge with honey and whisky.

The staff were so welcoming and friendly and our room was very comfortable. Location is great! Easy walk to many restaurants, bars, historical sites and Old Town Edinburgh.

I stayed at the Atholl Palace before getting to Edinburgh. I paid £30 more for so much more. The Ben Cruachan was really nice but not worth the money, facilities and services for the price I paid. The most disappointing thing was the space I had....not worth what I paid for the room. We couldn't fit in the bathroom together. It was really tight when I opened the door I had to almost step to the toilet in order to close the door to reach the shower. Also room 1 was so small. We couldn't even move around the bed to get to the bathroom or our bag. There was no chair or fauteil to sit on so when we were in the room we had no choice but to sit on the bed. We spent 5 nights here. When the host asked us about how our stay was, we answered honestly. However it was clear that that was not what she wanted to hear. Her response was to blame Booking.com. Apparently because we booked through booking.com we got a discount and therefore the smallest room. I saw the other rooms and asked we could be moved but the owner said he was fully booked. He could have made a change. Even a single guest had a room bigger than we did. And we stayed the longest. Others came and stayed a day and a few two days. I was not happy with what we got for the price we payed. Please share this with the Ben Cruachan House.

I stayed a year ago and liked the touch of a minature sherry none this time, there was no bottled water in room either
