Good location, clean room and helpful staff

It was hard to find because the sign outside is actually Uvita Lodge.

Ok place to pass a night as conveniently located near to the entrance of the National Park. Rooms are OK size, clean and have airco. Friendly manager.

You have to pay extra for hot water, though thus was not really an issue due to the warm weather during our stay.

If you are in Uvita for the Marino Ballenas national park (and/or diving in Isla del Canos), location is excellent, just a short stroll to the park entrance, the dive shop, and the restaurants there. Communication was good after the first hiccup (when I got a message in Spanish of "no space on the property" a few days before arrival and no response to my questions about it for a while on Booking chat). Room is no thrills but with basic comforts and clean, wifi and a/c worked very well. All in all, very good value for money.

These are not complaints but suggestions because I do wish the owners well - small improvements could make a nice difference. Entrance signs to the property could be clearer/repainted - I arrived in the dark and it was not obvious how to get to the property (the next door hotel/cabinas could not tell me where the property was when it was just on the other side of the fence... not sure what's that saying). The fact of credit cards not accepted for payment should be made clear before the arrival. There should ideally be someone on the property if not all then at least some of the time who speaks at least a bit of English. There shoud ideally be at least one chair in the room. A small TV hanging in a far corner that can be barely watched from the bed or the couch is owners' money wasted on the tv - some basic no-cost room rearrangement would make it more convenient and useful.

Top Location Really nice host who speaks french and spanish but is accomodating with hands and feet to find a language together ;)

Me and my boyfriend stayed there for one night and were really happy with it! Friendly and helpful staff, around 5 minutes walking to the national park, very comfy and clean room. Really recommend it, it exceeded our expectations!

Convenient location - less than a 5 min walk to the national park. Air conditioning was nice. Beds were comfortable. The lodge is next door to a yummy falafel place that we ate at twice!

Toilet had flushing problems. Shower door was leaky, and water from the shower would leak onto the floor in the bathroom. Christophe was nice and helped clean it up and we just had to be careful how we aimed the shower head later.

Excellent location just down the road from Marino Ballena beach, which is beautiful. Air conditioning in room. Friendly host. Information booklet provided in room.

It has a very hostel like feel. There are only two small wire racks to put your things (one in bathroom). The beds are a bit hard with springs you can feel.

Very nice room, the owner was very helpful and friendly, the location was very convenient, all was good.

The location was not clear on the listing or Google Maps, it showed the location as down by the beach, which was not correct, so we had confusion trying to find the place and finally got help from a local.

The place is wonderful, very peaceful. Really sleep well and Falafel Uvita is a great place for dinner.

Location is good to walk down to the ballena national park. Room is basic but pretty clean. Helpful owners which is always a plus.

Good quality for quite good price. Beautiful and quiet neighborhood. Idyllic atmosphere. Very close to the Parque National Marino Ballena. Restaurants are also just around the corner. Super friendly and helpful hosts. Room was big, clean and comfortable. We can recommend this place!

It’s not possible to pay by card. Hot water is payable additionally, which is quite uncomfortable with the relatively high price per room.

This a very good budget option if you are looking for affordable accommodation in Uvita. It is rather basic option but clean room and A/C does the job. The people running it are very friendly and helpful.

Great relaxed atmosphere. Sandrine and Christophe were amazing hosts, available, friendly and full of good tips. Restaurants are just around the corner as well as the entry to the NP and tour companies for whale watching. Perfect place to stay in Bahia Uvita.

The staff is very helpful and kind. Very lovely place.

We could leave the car there for a few more hours after checkout so we could go to the beach. There is a falafel restaurant right there who was really friendly. It's walking distance to the national park.

It took us pretty long to find the Cabine as it's not where Google maps says it should be. The owner doesn't speak English at all but he was still trying to help us.

The owner and his family were really nice!! They helped us with everything and even gave us a ride to San Jose! It were the nicest people, we have meet on our trip!
