Location

Old grotty dirty generally very poor! Stained carpets, bedding, curtains and towels, bathroom plastic sink looked like it had been stained by vomit, the shower over the bath was set so high that my head touched the ceiling, I fell trying to get out of it as it was very high to get my leg over the side whilst stepping out. I had to carry my suitcase up 8 flights of stairs as there was no lift, most of the hotel seemed to be closed off due to building works, there was often hammering and drilling going on. My friends room was cancelled due to these works, however mine wasn’t cancelled but wish it had been as they paid a much cheaper price at another Hotel, if I had known it was going to be like this I would never have booked it in the first place, I should have been informed of the woks going on and offered a refund so that I would have had a choice and be able to book elsewhere, the place should be shut until all the work is carried out and had a total refurbishment.

Great location, spotlessly clean and excellent value for money

Some areas are a little tired or dated but there are improvements being made and the whole place is spotlessly clean. for the price its excellent value

Ontbijt was goed. Zeer aangenaam onthaal. Gezellige pub vlakbij. Ruime kamer en badkamer. Allemaal proper en verzorgd.

The room was impeccably clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. The heating and hot water in the shower worked perfectly. The location was perfect as well, right in the town center. The breakfast was decent, and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful!

There is no elevator, and the stairs can be a bit tricky to carry suitcases up and down. I didn’t travel with a lot, so I didn’t mind. But if you’re coming with a lot of luggage, be mindful that you could have to carry it up 4 flights of stairs (depending on where your room is).

Breakfast was ok . Location was great

Very noisy , could hear people and phone alarms in next rooms . Not double glazed so lots of street noise . No outside street lighting so was very dark outside front of hotel . Website states food available. Not the case . Breakfast only . Seated area on first floor contained boxes of toilets . Lighting in room bad . Main bedroom area only had bedside lighting .

Location. Friendly & welcoming staff

The rooms. The interior decor very basic, wallpaper peeling off the walls, smoke detector hanging, first bathroom bathtub peeling, shower curtain not clean, the lighting dim. We had a leak in our first room and the staff swiftly moved us one floor down where the room was far better then the 1st. Cleaner tidier bedroom and bathroom. No damp. We did on the last night have an issue with heating but again staff swiftly responded and sorted it out. My personal view is..... Maybe if I'd booked direct with the establishment I'd been offered a much better room. But! On the bright side the bed very comfortable and the towels crisp white and soft. I'm sure after the big reno it will look amazing and cozy. If I'm ever again in that part of the country I'd stay there again.

Friendly and helpful staff.

Booked sea view room. The view from the window was amazing. The staff seemed lovely

Property very tired. Bed not so comfy but clean. Breakfast was ok. Some of the ingredients not so good but edible. The builders were in doing the windows which did not effect or stay at all. Hopefully the work extends to the rooms.
