Friendly owner met us and showed us to room. Own entrance. Towels and clean sheets. Overall bathroom and kitchen were clean.

The bedding was very musty. The blankets and cupboards were extremely musty and need to be washed and aired. There were no fire alarms in the chalet. The fridge did not appear to work. There was no key provided or lock on the door.

The location is quiet, peaceful and beautiful. The driveway into the property is also beautiful. The owner was very friendly.

Ran out of water

I had a nightmare trying to communicate with this farmstay...and couldn't in the end stay there because I couldn't get confirmation that they could host 2 of us. I tried calling, emailing, texting through their sister Lodge...no response at all. Had to find alternative room and they are not even willing to refund me. I expected a better and their lack of respinse meant we had a very stressful time in Taranaki that night.

the rooms were clean and nice for a hostel and it was a restful resort! perfect place to settle some days and to refuel in your travel journey!

I liked the quiet peaceful location, with great views, and the old style building. Immaculate gardens. Very friendly host. Friendly farm animals.

Cleanliness could be much better and over all it was a bit dark inside. Perhaps better lighting and trim back the trees a bit from windows would be good.

Dirty accommodation like nothing had been cleaned in ages, no locks on any doors so I felt unsafe, ants in kitchen and toilet, very cold and insufficient heating, very disappointed.

Room was damp do need a dehumidifier or a room dryer when not in use on winter months
