Nos hôtes étaient charmants ! Un très bon tea cake en arrivant. Quelques œufs pendant la semaine (délicieux !). Ils nous ont invité à venir voir leurs poussins : les enfants étaient ravis ! Nous avons eu un petit souci de lave-linge et ils se sont tout de suite déplacés pour nous débloquer la situation. Nous avons pu rayonner vers le Connemara, Achill island et Clare island. C’est un bon emplacement. Le lac Measc (Mask) juste à côté présente quelques paysages magnifiques. Il a fait un petit peu froid quand nous sommes arrivés et nous avons fait un feu avec la tourbe fournie et c’était très sympa !

Les chambres côté route sont un peu bruyantes. Un vrai couteau de cuisine aurait été pratique.

Großzügig geschnitten mit genug Platz um sich auch mal aus dem Weg gehen zu können. Wenn es mal kalt sein sollte, gibt es eine Zentralheizung die sich auf Knopfdruck einschalten lässt oder auch über den Kamin mitbeheizt wird, wenn man ihn nutzt. Die Wärme und Atmosphäre im Wohn/Aufenthaltsraum wenn im Kamin das Feuer lodert ist etwas besonderes. Torfziegel gibt es in ausreichender Menge im Lager, es wird einem auch nichts extra dafür berechnet. Wer länger bleibt, wird auch Waschmaschine und Trockner im Anbau zu schätzen wissen, Waschmittel etc. gibt es ebenfalls. Bei trockenem Wetter ist auch eine Wäschespinne im Garten vorhanden. Wenn etwas ausgeht oder Fragen aufkommen, stehen die Vermieter die nebenan wohnen einem mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es in alle Himmelsrichtungen, für kleinere Einkäufe ist eine Tankstelle mit gut ausgestattetem „Krämerladen“ und Backwaren nicht weit entfernt. Als Ausgangspunkt für viele Excursionen mit dem Auto zu vielerlei Sehenswürdigkeiten ist der Standpunkt ideal.

Everything was fine!

Everything was available for our use, great to have the use of a cottage so we could relax as a family in our own space. The hosts were great, welcoming and left us to our own space.

I liked everything.

The cottage was ideal for a family holiday to Westport. The house was set up with everything you would need. The second tv room and a garden space is great for children. The hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome and ensure we had everything we needed.

Location was excellent.Our daughter got married in nearby Ballintubber Abbey during our stay and Cherry tree cottage was excellent for all the prep people who visited !! Declan and Laura so pleasant,welcoming and helpful in every way.

Declan and Laura were great hosts, and we enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and comfortable.

Nicest hosts who were so welcoming. We immediately felt at home. They gave us eggs, a home made bread and a fire was prepared in the fireplace (but we did not need it). Great kitchen for cooking since fully equipped. Very clean house.
