The cold weather

Stunning property with Beautiful tents and dining facilities. Breakfast and dinner both fantastic with well trained staff. The resident astronomer was a nice touch.

Dogs in the area barked all night and kept us awake. This was not the fault of the property but very off putting when looking for a silent desert experience. The famous pool was closed for maintenance

The setting is stunning, the Saffron Thai restaurant is the best Thai food we have ever eaten. The spa is well.worth a visit. Make sure to visit the rock art trail with rock art 4000 years old. The horseriding experience was wonderful, with great guides and well-trained horses. The General Manager, Anthony is GM par excellence, and the staff are kind, helpful and professional.

Perfect hotel, perfecte locatie.

Breakfast was great, comparable to other 5 star hotels. Room was very good and spacious. Path leading to room needs attention as is a trip hazard with loose paving. No info in room re anything, hotel, Alula etc.

No indication re restaurants being closed in the evening. Especially as there are only two options or room service. Its a long way back into town to eat.

The property is simply beautiful. It is in the middle of the mountains/desert and gorgeous piece of land. The rooms are each a tent of its own which is very unique.

They charged us $2300 per night which added up to $4600 for two nights stay! In addition, they changed $650 for New Years dinner menu per person with very terrible food quality! If you have the money to throw around, you will love the property and location (truly different as each room is a tent). But frankly, it was way too expensive for what we got. Plus one of the bathrooms got clogged shower which resulted to water to come out of the shower and goes across all the bathroom floor. We called them to have them come to fix but it was New Year’s Eve and no one showed up! We had to call back again the day after… it seemed people really didn’t care much about customer satisfaction for the amount they charge. I highly suggest this hotel to adjust their pricing if they really want to get tourist attractions. Not many people can spend $2300 per night of hotel stay! That is way too much.

Incredible two bedroom villa with balcony, private pool and fire pit. The staff were so helpful and friendly too, I would stay longer next time to enjoy the villa and facilities more.

Considering every hotels I’ve stayed at, from 4-star to 5-star, from seasoned to freshly built, local and international, I must say that Banyan Tree in Al Ula is one of the best, if not the best hotel/accommodation I’ve had the pleasure of staying at so far. Yes! All the raving reviews about how so friendly their staff are, are true. From Majed, the reception manager, who has gone out of his way to make my experience so remarkable. Raghad, who helped me get there in time for my Hegra Day Tour, provided an amazing job that I would remember for a long time. And Muhammed, who from the beginning, over the phone, has been very informative and helpful. Down to the housekeepers who were warm and hospitable especially Borngo. Shout out to Chef Kenneth for the aesthetically pleasing and equally mouthwatering meals served at Harrat. And Niko and Synteche who were such angels in providing warm service at the restaurant. Their glorious facilities nestled in the majestic view of the mountains was just a cherry on top. There’s just no better way to describe how incredible the overall experience in Banyan Tree is than to experience it yourself.

It's not that I don't like it because it's also the reason why the place is so unique but the travel from the City Proper to the Hotel and back could take up time. Also, it takes time to move from your room to other facilities like Spa Center, Restaurant, Reception etc.

Exceptional facilities and staff. The villas were amazing, the staff was always kind, on time, perfectly helping in everything. I'd absolutely recommend it.

Communication with the security of Ashar valley can be hard. Just show the hotel key.

The view from the villa, harrat restaurant, rock pool, bathtube ... honestly, everything from A to Z. Especially the people working there! George and Vicky were absolutely amazing! They made the experience special and made me feel at home and welcomed. If I start listing people's names, I would reach the limit ... everyone was amazing! A serious boost in positivity and happiness.
