I read a review from other guests and I agree with them about how comfortable the little house is. It did not work for us. Unfortunately, the location of the bathroom inside the only bedroom doesn’t work for more than a couple. People sleeping in the bedroom were disturbed by the other using the bathroom. The queen bed did not work for us, noisy cracking frame. The other sleeping areas were the sleep sofa and that one had better days. Our backs, my daughter and me, suffered the consequences. Other than watching tv there is nothing else to do in the house. Guests are not allow to enjoy the backyard and the information of the house showing up hot tub misled my booking. I asked questions too late. Overall, this place is good for a couple that uses a queen bed and has a busy itinerary to spend the day out of the house and only go to sleep. Bring your own pillow and consider bringing your own air mattress if this place is your choice.

We were in Denton to attend a family graduation and to be with family who live in Denton and Grapevine. This house was perfectly located for us in all respects. It was close to family, recreation areas, beautiful downtown Denton and Grapevine and all of the venues we needed to access for the graduation.
The house itself was perfection. First off, it was clean with all of the amenities necessary for our stay. The floor plan gave us the room we needed in between family visits to relax and unwind. The kitchen was well-stocked and all of the linens were fresh and plentiful. Our hosts made it so easy to access the home and all of the details for our stay were clearly spelled out. For being in an established neighborhood, it was quiet and very relaxing.
I would definitely stay at Idiot's Hill (aptly named:) again for the events in the years to come. Thank you, Ron and Jenny, for being the perfect hosts.

It was a short test to take a test at UNT. This place is walking distance to all the great places in the historical part of Denton. The place is cute and cozy. I highly recommend it.

This was a wonderful place to stay. Dates of stay were May15-17th. Perfect area of town. Nice and quiet. We enjoyed it and would stay there again.

We arrived after dark the night before my niece's graduation. We had a hard time finding numbers on the house and were confused as to which one it was. The little house would have been perfect for just me as originally intended but my graduating niece and my sister stayed with me so they didn't have to drive in super early from McKinney. My sister and I stayed up late, and slept on the 2 couches rather than pull out the sleeper sofa. (We're 60 and 58, and both heavy.) than my niece but we kept her up all night alternating bathroom trips... She was up with nearby train noises, which we couldn't hear from the main room. So just be aware that this would be ideal for a couple or a couple with a couple of with young kids, but not as ideal for 3 adults. Still, the place is very cute and clean, and we were grateful to be so close to campus on graduation morning. Thanks very much!

We stayed here for s quiet getaway to have a reading retreat and this place was perfection. Quiet neighborhood, lots of couch space to relax on and read, a well stocked kitchen to cook in and they left a fantastic information manual with lots of great places around the area to eat and visit. Will definitely be back to do this again on an annual basis.

The Idiot's Hill guest house was great. We had everything we needed, the guest house is the perfect size for a group of 4. The guest house is in a nice quiet neighborhood and only10 minutes to interstate 35. Once we got our barring's it was vary easy to get around Denton and find our way back to the guest house. Initially only 2 were going to stay at the guest house but at the last minute family plans changed and third family member had to stay as well, we contacted the host and they were vary accommodating. Everything worked out great. Would recommend this place to friends and family.

We were in town for UNT’s family weekend event. The host was communicative, the guest house is stylish and welcoming. We felt comfortable and relaxed. We do hope to stay at this location again in the future.

The stay was good and the property had everything we needed. I would stay here again. Just a couple notes to the owner: Not sure if the tree above our parking space dripped sap on my car or I got it somewhere else. If it is from your tree, then next time I will park the car in the street. Thanks.

Shower was not up to the standard of the rest of the guest house. While the manual provided was very well done, the wifi info provided in the manual was different than the wifi info in the email leading to some connection issues.

This quaint residence provided us all that we needed as we spent most of the time visiting friends in the vicinity. Had everything we needed, was clean and owners were very helpful.

Perfect Rental for our Visit!
We were in town for a wedding and this was the perfect location for our event. It was my spouse and I and our 2 adult daughters. They were very comphy on the sofas and our bed was very comfortable as well. Nice layout and easy access. The owners made sure we had everything we needed and even provided recommendations for meals, shopping and places to visit. We would stay here again for sure!

The Idiot’s Hill guest house was clean and comfortable. We were out most of the day and came back to rest and recharge before heading out again. This is ‘small’ guest house behind a beautiful home in the heart of downtown Denton. You are minutes away from just about every activity you can imagine.
My wife and I went to the chairy orchard, a local brewery, and the movie tavern. All minutes away.
The owners are incredibly kind and very communicative. The guest house is actually much larger than it looks on pictures and would definitely be comfortable for a group of four.
We loved our time here and will be back again someday.

This was one of the best rentals we have stayed at in years. It was bright and cheery and had all of the amenities we needed. I loved getting up every morning and looking at the chickens as well. It is an incredible price for all that you receive.

The little house was perfect for our week's stay. We were able to use the kitchen for breakfast, and even heating some leftovers. The owners live in the main house in front, so we were able to take care of a minor issue, quickly. Very nice accommodations and very close to lots of stores.

We didn’t actually get to stay because our flight got significantly delayed then canceled. We also had to make a change to our reservation a few weeks prior to the upcoming trip. The host was immediately responsive to my communication, understanding and always with a pleasant demeanor in his words. We really looked forward to our visit and were disappointed that it didn’t work out. We have rebooked our trip and are even more disappointed that this property was not available for our dates. I have learned the hard way, having a great host is such an important part of the experience, so you definitely want to stay at this property because I know it comes with a great host.
