This worked out great for us

We were in town for a destination wedding. The house looked older, which I loved, but inside was very modern and up to date! The way the bedrooms are arranged provide privacy for all of us. And, by the way, the beds were super comfortable! It is close to everything and we fell in love with the town! We felt very safe and had no problems except rain for our first days. The hot tub and the game closet were big hits! My cousin came by for a visit and was impressed with how the inside looked. I highly recommend!!

We stayed here for the weekend and everything was perfect. Check in was a breeze, the owner was very accommodating and we were able to check in a little earlier in the day. The house was very clean and was perfect for our group of 6. The outdoor jacuzzi and backyard was awesome and we enjoyed it there. I wish we would have had more time there as we may have actually used the updated kitchen but we ate out our meals. I give this place a 10 out of 10 and we will definitely be going back.

House was wonderful! Nicely decorated, great sized bedrooms, comfortable beds, nice bathrooms. Wonderful gardens and outdoor gathering space. Excellent location, easy walking distance to shopping, dining, and waterfront. This was our second stay and we will be back again next year.

Beautiful home in the perfect location to downtown restaurants & shops! Kitchen had everything we needed! I also am a host & it was nice to see someone else think about all the small details! Furniture & beds were very comfortable. The only problem is we weren’t there long enough! We were visiting my brother who lives in St James for Thanksgiving so we didn’t get to take full advantage of all the amenities, but would love to come back & take advantage of all that is offered!

House was well appointed. Plenty of outdoor and indorse space. Upper levels a bit trying on old knees, but younger guests saved the day.

My family and I had a great short week in Southport for our Fall break. The house was exactly as described and the check-in process was very simple. Marc was easy to communicate with and answered our questions promptly. The house is located in the middle of the town which makes it easy to explore the area. Hot tub and pool table were added entertainment for my family to enjoy during bad weather and down time. Beds are comfortable and kitchen is stocked with appropriate utensils and equipment. Overall, we loved our time in this beautiful historic cottage in downtown Southport!!

Our stay was fine and we enjoyed the property. There was a list of chores to do upon departure. Some of the tasks were unrealistic with our morning departure and we did the best we could. Just read an article related to this very subject and VRBO said they are working on this issue.

House was clean & beautifully decorated. My kids loved the “clubhouse” in the yard, as well as the surprise dollhouse. Communication was fantastic from the get-go. Location was perfect and within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. I only have a few minor issues. We had an issue with wasps on the MBR deck. I understand these things happen and I’m not upset that there were wasps, or even that my husband & 3 of my young kids were swarmed and stung multiple times (I was also stung when I walked to the doorway to see what the yelling was about- mine required an epi pen due to a mast cell disorder). What did bother me was that when we asked that they get someone there asap to get rid of them, he asked that we be at the house to meet the exterminator, Honestly, it’s bad enough that my physical reaction put a bit of a damper on the next couple days, as stings cause a great deal of swelling and systematic inflammation in me, but to be asked to spend even a few hours of our vacation sitting at the house waiting for the exterminator was a bit surprising. In the end, after I told him I would not stay, they did take care of it very swiftly and thoroughly- sprayed twice that day and left spray so that we were able to kill the few strays we found in the house over the next 2 days. Not a big issue, but worth mentioning is that most of the many VBRO houses that we have stayed in have had at least 1 extra trash bag and hand soap in the bathrooms. We’ve even found a few bottles of water, coffee pods, or even a bottle of wine upon arriving at some- extra touches that make such a difference. This house had only the trash bag in the kitchen trashcan and there was zero hand soap anywhere. Since we were staying just the 3 day minimum, I hadn’t brought any of this stuff, so it we had to find the grocery store and purchase. Again, Not a huge deal, but for the price and quality of the house overall, these little things would have made it perfect at very little expense and effort from the owner. The last thing I’ll mention that was a bit of a turn off is the fact that the owners ask you to wash, fold and put away your bath towels & say that it’s $100 extra charge if you don’t. Most short term rentals of this type ask you to throw a load of towels and or sheets in on your way out the door. But I’ve never been asked to complete and put away a load & having to do so delayed our departure good stay but a few little things could have made it better

Family was in town to celebrate my SIL’s wedding. The house was perfect! Great location close to everything Southport has to offer. Renting a golf cart made it all that more convenient and spectacular. Marc was an excellent informative host. Would stay here again in a second!

We had such an amazing vacation in Southport. This house was so perfect. So clean, so cozy, so close to everything. We walked everywhere. Marc was so amazing and easy to work with. Always reachable. This house is in a beautiful location. WE had my 2 sisters, myself and our husband's with plenty of room. The kitchen was large enough for us to cook together. The pool table was a blast. We were within walking distance of every thing Southport. My husband and I have traveled to Southport for the last 13 years, this without doubt was our best visit. The house is exceptionally clean and comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked with cooking utensils. The owner was very responsive with any questions. We definitely will stay again!!
