Good location; quiet; easy to get to; good parking. Lots of room to spread out. Balconies overlooked a little river. Fire place and pool table were fun. In the summer, this place would not be as quiet. Too close to the water park.

This was a great stay in Helen. Very clean and convenient to Helen. Will stay here again.

Perfect cabin for three couples. Each bedroom has their own bathroom. A bit of a walk to shopping and restaurants but an easy drive.

Way down yonder exceeded our expectations. It was clean, beautifully decorated and all of the furniture was extremely comfortable. The location was great as it was close enough to everything in town but far enough away to feel private. We had a wonderful time during our stay and will definitely book this property for our next stay!

This is our second year staying at A Way Down Yonder. It’s cozy and the right amount of space for 3 couples. It’s conveniently close to downtown Helen. We walked into town everyday, and the hot tub is the perfect spot to relax after a day out and about. We come back every year to celebrate our Oktoberfest tradition and look forward to our stay every time!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Way Down Yonder! It was close enough to walk to downtown and enjoy all the shops and restaurants but still far enough away to be calm and quiet! We enjoyed being able to peacefully sit in our hot tub or walk downtown for Oktoberfest concerts and fun. The house was clean, beds were very comfortable, and we were supplied everything we needed. Would highly recommend and will definitely be booking again!

The condo was perfect for our needs. It was wonderful having three separate bedrooms with king beds and attached bathrooms. The location was great for downtown Helen. It was so relaxing sitting on the deck overlooking the flowing water.

We enjoyed our stay in our townhouse/cabin. We loved having three rooms with three and a half baths. The hot tub with a river view was wonderful. I have already recommended this to a friend.

The property was excellent. It was very large and accommodating with all the amenities. Three levels all with water views. The pool table and hot tub was so much fun. Very close to town. Had a great time.

This was the perfect little get away for our family over spring break. The 3 bedrooms were super spacious and the townhome was super clean (a must for us!). The kitchen was very well stocked and had everything you would need in it to eat in. The back decks are so cozy with the firepit and the hot tub, and we loved listening to the river flowing while enjoying our coffee or evening drinks. The entire complex was super quiet while we were there. The town is so cute as well - highly recommend the Outpost for mining and the Nacoochee Adventures for Zip Lining and the Challenge Course. Anna Ruby Falls is a must visit for sure.

We enjoyed our stay, it’s a great location and very roomy. It was very clean and well kept.

Great time. 6 adults - had our own rooms and bathrooms with another half bath on the main floor. A teeny disappointed that not all bedrooms had a balcony overlooking the river but there were 3 and we ended up on the one on the main floor most of the time. The large dining table was great for cards and projects and dining!!

This property is a 3-level townhouse about ¾ - 1 mile to town center. It is not ideal for families with toddlers as you have 2 sets of stairs and all 3 levels have exit doors on to balconies. The layout is more designed for adult couples or families with teens. The townhouse itself is nicely furnished but needs some repairs. (Which I reported to the property manager) Hopefully they take care of the issues. The positive side is Helen is a perfect location as a home base for daily trips out to explore other areas after you have had your fill of the quaint little village.

A great place to make family memories!

We came for a girls trip for a birthday and to see Helen at Christmas. We were able to shop and see the parade. We enjoyed the lights at night and spent the evening laughing and enjoying the hot tub and listening to the river. Picture are accurate and very enjoyable house.

This property was just as advertised. Very clean and perfect for the 3-couples in our group. Not exactly walking distance from downtown (25min walk) but a very short drive. Hot tub, pool table, fire pit…all the amenities you need for a great mountain trip. The three king bedrooms each with a private bath, made us wish we were staying longer than just a weekend! Don’t hesitate, go ahead and book it!!!

This cabin was perfect for our stay during Oktoberfest. Each bedroom has a king bed with it's own bathroom, which was so nice for the 3 couples staying there. The cabin was also very close to downtown Helen, about a 1 mile walk to the Festhalle, which took us about 20 minutes. The cabin was also a nice retreat from the bustle of the crowd, backing up to the river and the hot tub waiting. Loved our stay!

Great place- Very Clean and well appointed

We enjoyed our stay at A Way Down Yonder. I feel it needs to be shared that if stairs are hard, this is not the place for you. The condo is three levels and the stairs are needed for various movements about the cabin. The pool table was a huge hit with the kids and provided great entertainment. I don't feel we were in "walking distance" unless you really like to walk. We had to drive and pay to park when going in town but did find a location for parking that allowed for all same-day returns (behind Cowboys and Angels). The hot tub was also not private on open to anyone that potentially walked up. I'm sure this isn't an issue as it was fairly quiet where we were, but this struck me as odd as I don't see how they keep random folks (especially during slow season) from just walking up and taking a dip. All that said, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again if given the opportunity. Helen was a pleasant place to visit. We were there during September so many businesses closed Monday to Wed. Hiking to Anna Ruby Falls was the best and a big recommend!

This home was very comfortable and in a nice quiet area. Not too far from the main street. Plenty of parking. Perfect little spot and we would gladly book again. The beds were so comfy, and the couch...ahhhh seriously super comfy place

We enjoyed our stay. Loved having the 3 king bedrooms, all with their own bathrooms. Great location. Convenient parking. Our only issue was we lost hot water on our last night/day. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

All though the rain came down for the 3 nights and days, the vacation was enjoyable by all. The condo is located in a quiet and tranquil part of Helen away from the hustle and bustle of main street. The condo is very nicely appointed and has quality linens and furniture. The kitchen has a larger dining space for up to 10 people so many meals can be had in the condo. However, many great meals can be had in town. The condo offers a parking space with several visitor spots with 50 feet of the appointed spot. This condo comes with 3 covered decks that overlook the river and allow for a space to relax. A pool table and hot tub are two additions that can enhance your stay. The entertainment of the condo with the TV was ample and allowed the use of smart tv options for your viewing pleasure. The internet was plenty fast and allowed multiple phones, ipads and laptops to utilize it without any negative aspects. I would rent this place again if available.

My daughter and I saw the balloon lift off (the main reason for the trip) and it was PERFECT! We also played an 18 hole round of mini golf (also not for seniors.) Helen is too small for the crowds and I would never try to do Octoberfest there. The townhouse is lovely, the colors and the decor. The pool table got used as well a the hot tub, both great. There is PLENTY of hot water with enough pressure. Since I was not able to see the full picture online, I booked a place with 20 steps down or up to get to a bedroom, big mistake on my part.
