This is a lovely, well appointed, well equipped home/cottage in a lovely setting. We were happy with the interactions with the hosts.

We were 14 people in total, 8 Adults and 6 Children. All of us had a wonderful time at the property, lots to do for everyone.

We were a group of 12 seniors. Enough space for all to sit together for meals, lots of different seating outside, enough beds. It was perfect.

The Long Point Property was a wonderful opportunity for 3 generations to gather under the same roof. The cottage was well equipped and very clean and comfortable. The younger set made use of the kayaks and went to the beach daily. In the evening we had a camp fire and enjoyed sitting on the deck and ventured into Long Point for ice cream. Port Rowan was also a nice little town to visit with some shops and restaurants.

Stayed with our 4 children and their spouses and 4 grandchildren. The grandkids enjoyed fishing off the dock and caught lots of sunfish. We brought two small boats and we all went out on daily trips to the beach plus made a trip to Port Rowan to eat at restaurant in the port. Other days walked to the nearby beach. Spent evenings around campfire behind cottage. Kitchen facilities and bbq worked out great for preparing meals for the whole crew and sleeping accommodations worked out well for everyone. The location was great with the boats tied up behind the cottage on the canal with easy access to the bay. Overall everything went well and everyone from 2 to 64 were well entertained

Our extended family rented 2 cottages at Long Point (an other smaller one was located on the beach). This became our hub for family dinners and roasting marshmallows. This 1990 era cottage has been lightly used and still retains its original vintage furniture and decoration. Everything, however is clean and comfortable. We enjoyed fishing off the dock, kayaking in the inner harbour, playing video games and just hanging out. We spoke to John and Cindy about our only legitimate complaint - very poor water pressure - and they assured us that they weren't aware and were going to look after it. This cottage is definitely a family friendly destination!

We came to this beautiful cottage on Long Point with our 6 grandsons and 2 adult children from Alberta. The location was perfect for us. My husband grew up in this area and wanted to connect our grandsons with his roots. The cottage was absolutely beautiful with high end everything. Everything inside was comfortable and convenient for our large group. The outside space is outstanding with a huge deck space and easy seating for outdoor barbecuing and eating. There are several areas in the yard for relaxing and enjoying company. The docking area is massive and the 6 kayaks were put to great use. Fishing off the dock was a highlight for the kids and did not disappoint!! The short 5-10 minute walk to the lakeshore meant we could head over for a swim often throughout the day. This is a quiet family oriented neighbourhood in a friendly community. We could not have asked for a better spot for our vacation and would happily rebook for another family holiday. John and Cindy were very easy to communicate with, and responded quickly to texts. One of the best rentals I’ve booked, and I’ve booked several throughout US and Canada. This was well worth the money!!

Overall, this was a nice and clean property (the nicest property in the area) with a very fair host. They were quick to respond and were open to accommodating any changes we needed to the reservation. The only downside was the linen fee and the late check out fee. For shorter weekend trips like ours, to have towels and bedding would cost another $300 + tax, and a late checkout was $400 + tax. You can bypass these fees if you were staying more than 7 days, but in Long Point, 7 days is too long of a trip considering there was not much else around. Would still gladly recommend this to anyone looking to stay in this area!
