We are former UNC students. The region that the house is located in has changed tremendously for the better. The property was quiet and clean. We felt safe and had more than enough space to accommodate our family of 5. We will definitely stay again!

Allowed pets which is fine but the back deck was covered in muddy footprints from the last dog. Mud also on that entry door.
Front yard had some tall weeds in the hedges.
There was some kind of odor in the front of the house and the bathroom. We decided not to stay but the owner was nice and refunded us for the additional nights.
We found less sleeping space than listed on the website.

The place was beautiful. We were in town for my daughter’s college graduation. It rained the whole time but the stay was amazing.

Perfect house to nearby Duke and other attractions. Family was very comfortable.
The owner was wonderful to work with even let us do a late check out because of early Commencement. We would definitely stay here again

Stayed 2 nights to visit NCCU and WSSU. Perfect and quiet location. Six minutes from NCCU. Host is very responsive and accommodating. House is exactly as listed and shown. Highly recommended. We will visit again.

House was just like pictures,
Didn't have enough wash clothes
For our stay so we went out and purchased some and left for next guess!
Owner was available by phone, Back yard was a swamp land so the kids could not play in back but we made the best of it The nice size deck helped out a lot. No Blender. But we will be back just because I grew up near by Glad to see the reunification of the area taking place and owner was nice and polite

We stayed in this rental as a last min decision to meet family halfway between our homes. The house was very nice, clean, and accurately listed. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots and pans, dishes, glasses and flatwear. There was plenty of space for all of the family, 6 adults, a teen, and a baby. Ned the host was very nice, and we had no issues. It was NYE so this transitional neighborhood was very active that night (fireworks/gunshots), and the neighbors next door literally partied until 5am. Otherwise it was a great choice.

Right next to NCCU, very communicative host, accurate interior and bed numbers, in a calm neighborhood, definitely recommend.

Our stay was overall enjoyable. There was a major inconvenience however. The smoke alarm in the Master Bedroom went off in the middle of the night. There were no spare batteries or ladder to fix it. We were unable to get ahold of the host. When we called VRBO the "protocols" were unacceptable. Their solution was to move us (there were twelve) to a hotel. Since it was the middle of the night, they were unable to contact any hotels at that time. We asked to speak to a supervisor and were informed one was not available. We were contacted (via text) the next day by one but we had already resolved the situation ourselves. VRBO's protocols for this kind of situation leave much to be desired.

We had a great time. The house was wonderful and updated. The rooms, the kitchen and bathrooms were gorgeous. We loved front porch and the deck. We had a hard time with the main TV...maneuvering to get to the apps, even with logging into my personal accounts...orherwise a great time. Would rent again and recommend to others.

Ned was responsive and accommodating. The house was very clean. Check in was easy. Backyard with 8’ privacy fence excellent for our dog. Kitchen had all the basics and was good size. Neighborhood is “ in transition”. Some houses are renovated. Some are run down. Neighbors were fine. Mostly quiet, but Friday and Saturday night there was an hour or so of loud music. But we felt quite safe and very comfortable inside, taking advantage of hot baths, fluffy towels and Netflix.

Our stay at this vrbo was a last minute trip because of my Dad, sadly, taking a turn for the worse with health problems. This house was clean and had everything that we needed. It was newly remodeled and Ned was available 24/7!! We were able to use the kitchen etc. and decompress outside on the deck anytime, for coffee or late night!! We needed a yard and a pet friendly place as we were traveling with our dog. We appreciated everything so much and would recommend it highly to others. It can accommodate quite a large amount of people. This place was just what we needed!! Thank you, Ned and 412 N. Guthrie Ave.

April Visit
The owner did a nice job preparing the home for our visit. I was traveling with a dog and the fenced backyard was very convenient. Unfortunately, East Durham and this neighborhood are in a state of transition so it wasn't the most ideal location. It's nothing that the owner can control but many of the other homes on the block were not of the same quality and we had some minor noise disruptions from neighbors. However, the owner was great to work with and everything within the home was as expected.
