Only over night but really friendly service

Nice hotel, we were able to check-in before 11am. All staff were great, location superb, breakfast was fantastic. We will stay here again should we return to Chester

The staff at the Crown Plaza were extremely helpful. The hotel was very clean and had an amazing gym and pool. The breakfast was superb, lots of choice and I would not hesitate to recommend it for a break in Chester.

The staff were really friendly & helpful. The general hotel is really nice but quite a lot of the furniture in our room was dated and chipped. The location is really good and we had the room service breakfast which was really good and definitely worth the room service charge.

Only reason marked down, we found the hotel rooms to be quite noisy compared with other locations.We had a snorer next door and kept one of us awake!

Stayed there following Chester marathon. Room was nice with a bath. Loads of nice touches lots of charging points in room and usb chargers. Plenty of tea coffee biscuits and bottles of water. Best thing was the staff who were all very good especially in the restaurant for dinner and a breakfast

Generally good but the dining hall looked messy due to large number of uncleared breakfast tables. Simple to address. Hotel car parking could do with signage on main road to help people find it. I would stay again.

The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The staff were amiable and the breakfast was very good. Very pleasant, calm atmosphere throughout the hotel. The only negative was there was some road noise, but this was due to the fabric and design of the building.

Nice location, now with plenty on offer from the New Indoor Chester Market on the door step. Advice to use the council car park under the hotel, a lot cheaper than the one provided that is almost full every night.

Pretty hotel in centre of Chester. Main attraction is the swimming pool which is very nice. The kids had fun for hours. Main drawback is inadequate parking so very stressful if you arrive when it's full and have to hang around waiting for someone to leave. Has electric car charging points but some people park in these spots out of desperation and it isn't monitored. Chris on reception was amazing, so friendly and helpful. All the staff were friendly, even the cleaners. The restaurant has a very nice breakfast buffet with a good range on offer but nothing for vegans. Michael went the extra mile and got the kitchen to make something suitable. The chef Joe used my own pancake recipe to make me vegan pancakes. So appreciate the extra effort from both these members of staff. Dinner service was very disorganised - so waited too long for our order to be taken and then for dessert to be ordered and finally for the table to be cleared and eventually had to go to the desk to ask for the bill a second time. Again nothing for vegans and no flexibility to make things fresh without cheese, etc. But appreciated the flowers on the tables and friendliness of staff. The food was very good.

The convenience to everywhere in the centre. Breakfast was delicious. Parking was great.

Shower and sink in room poor hot flow,so showered in pool showers as they were very good, unfortunately a few red marks on pillow and bottom sheet. Bedding rectified instantly, staff were excellent. Food good

Jamie and Benjamin on nights were excellent made our stay! Definitely visit again all staff were vibrant and helpful. Had a room package which looked great aswell good job to the housekeeping .

All was good, great hotel and staff.

Room its self was nice however noise levels were not great and we’d been given a connecting door (door to next room from our room which was of course locked) However it didn’t keep the noise out. So felt like we were in the same room as the couple next door when they were having a conversation and got woken up at 1am

Check in was good and parking was easy with access straight in to hotel. Car park for hotel is private so feels quite secure. The room was unfortunately very disappointing. It really needs an update as very old fashioned. They have tried to keep up with modernisation by installing a large lcd tv which unfortunately was only partially visible from the bed. The biggest disappointments were the cleanliness and the lack of soundproofing. We had some items to put in the fridge and were surprised to open the door to find the rear of fridge with numerous black mould spots. This was also the case on the tiles in the shower (actually a bath you stand in with a shower in it). The basin surround had black mould below the rim behind the tap and one of the hand towels supplied was stained and torn. We had three nights in this hotel and slept badly for two as you could literally hear everything from the surrounding rooms. And I mean everything! I stay in approximately 100 hotels per year, including other Crowne Plazas and this hotel was not what I expected from the brand. Most certainly not 4 star where the room is concerned compared to other hotels. On a positive note to finish all of the staff that we came in to contact with were excellent, very polite and friendly.

I'm not a fan of purely air conditioned rooms. Having said that, i didn't say anything until I left and was informed that there are rooms in the hotel with opening windows.

Chester is Loveley

Clean but dated hotel. Good location.

We really enjoyed our stay, however the view wasn't very appealing, and the phone charger socket was only on one side of the bed which is a pain when there are two of you in the room wanting to both charge your phones overnight.

Good location, close to all shops and restaurants. Decent parking on site.
