Aside from the ambience and history of the hotel, it is conveniently located within walking distance of the Alamo, Riverwalk, and many other great attractions in downtown San Antonio.

Given its age, you can expect the rooms and bathrooms to be on the small side and to see a little wear and tear. But everything was in order, clean, and comfortable. The building even smells good! The restaurant and coffee shop are very yummy and convenient and the location is top-notch. The Alamo is literally right there and the River Walk is so very close. I felt safe walking around, even at night. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

Amazing stay! Facilities were clean and staff was excellent. Can’t wait to stay there again and upgrade to a bigger room. 5 minute walk to most tourist spots on the Riverwalk. I enjoyed the location.

Lovely experience overall. The only option for parking was valet, which worked great for us, however a heads up for those thinking they can street park. So much construction work, and blocked roads, and Alamo is under huge construction as well. Super close walking distance to everything, great music, great food and lovely facility. I would definitely recommend 👌

Honestly the best hotel experience I’ve ever had! We have attempted a stay at the Crocket previously but there was a family emergency so we had to leave early. So glad we got to do it for our honeymoon! 10/10 will stay here again. Beautiful hotel and amazing customer service!

Overnight stay close to Alamo & River walk.

Very comfortable and great location

The motel itself was WONDERFUL. Rooms were small but super clean. Unfortunately there was construction right across the street making it a bit more difficult to access Alamo but didnt affect access to Riverwalk. The construction shut down early though so it didnt interfere with sleeping. Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic location, amazing staff and as soon as you walk in, it smells beautiful. We forgot some very important items in a night stand and the quickly overnighted to us. Will stay there again.

We had no issue with cleanliness of room. The only criticism is the small, inconvenient bathroom. And the valet service is iffy. In theory, the procedure of sending a text so the car can easily be retrieved by text, is good. But we never got the text so we had to chase the car down when we wanted to leave.

The toilet bowl could use some cleaning. Otherwise, the staff and hotel were great!😊

We had a fabulous time at the Crockett Hotel. Very welcoming staff and a wonderful foyer area. The hotel boasts a coffee shop and a tavern on the premises. Our room was excellent. The location is wonderful: a few The one cavaat would be that there is a lot of ongoing construction right outside the hotel that may bother some prospective customers (it did not bother us at all).

Location by The Alamo and Riverwalk was perfect. Many shops in the area are closed down so a bit empty of humanity. Local eateries are few and close mid afternoon, no doubt the Riverwalk has an enormous pull

Great stay

I recently stayed at the David Crocket hotel in Downtown San Antonio and was extremely disappointed with my experience. The noise level in the room at 5AM was unbearable, measuring at 58 decibels due to the HVAC running constantly. The noise only worsened when the unit in the adjacent room kicked in, making it impossible for me to sleep. It felt like I was sharing a room with the HVAC system itself. To add to the frustration, I suspect that the reason we were placed in this noisy room is because I prepaid and booked through hotels.com. The lack of consideration for guests' comfort and the inability to provide a peaceful environment for rest is unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber. I would not recommend the David Crocket hotel to anyone looking for a good night's sleep or a relaxing stay. The noise levels are disruptive, and the quality of rest you expect from a hotel is simply not met. It's disappointing to have had such a negative experience at what was supposed to be a reputable establishment. ---

The staff was super nice, the rooms were clean, and the bar was lively and served great food and drinks. The area around the hotel was under construction but that's not the hotel's fault. The elevators were small, we had a large group and had to split up when going up and down, but I'm not sure they can do much about it at this point. It was only a short walk to the convention center, and worked out well for our group.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is in an ideal location and I had a great stay. I would definitely stay there again.

This is a great location in the center of everything in downtown San Antonio. Just behind the Alamo, and walking distance to the Riverwalk. The room was small and comfortable, the A/C worked very well which was good since it was SO hot outside! The property has an onsite restaurant (did not use) and a morning coffee shop which we did use. The valet parking seems to work well and not too long waiting on my vehicle. Would stay here again.

Very kind staff

We had one day to spend downtown and wanted to be close to the Riverwalk and the Alamo. We found both here. Charming historic hotel. We booked the cozy single queen and it was VERY small. But we were just looking for a clean place to sleep. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Pool area was beautiful. LOTS of construction in the area but easy to navigate. Very historical hotel.
